About this house rental
Family House on Lake Murray is located on Sunset Point. Sip a cool beverage or a hot toddy depending on when you visit while enjoying the swing on the back veranda. The family home provides an open floor plan that includes family, dining & kitchen space with 22' ceilings, fireplace and expansive views of the lake. The back porch spanning the full length of the house provides tons of outdoor living space. 5 bedrooms have king size beds and private bath and the 6th bedroom has 4 built in bunk beds and its own private bathroom. Outstanding views of the lake from the open great room and Master bedroom as well as 3 bedrooms on the second floor. Outdoor fire pit is perfect for chilly nights. Home is on cul-de-sac street and off a dead end street so it’s very quiet and private. The house is 1 mile from the entrance to Timberlake Country Club. It's perfect for large families or couples who require private bathroom space.

Everything about this house is amazing! The owners made it so homie and comfortable. It had everything you need and more! Beware of the swing bed though, it’s so comfortable you won’t get off of it all day!

Communication with the owner, Tom, was the best I've had in any experience we've had in renting homes like this. Tom responded immediately to my messages pre-stay, and then stayed in close contact throughout our stay to make sure everything was great.
The house was wonderful to say the least. It was by far the most clean home we've rented. The kitchen was beyond stocked, the linens and other items supplied were spotless. In short, it was obvious that we were renting a house that this family actually uses, it's not just a rental property for them.
If this wasn't a once-in-a-lifetime trip for us (it was a fairly expensive trip), I would rent again in a heartbeat.

We had the most amazing week staying here! There is nothing we would change - and will definitely be back! By far the best rental we have ever stayed in: Clean, well-stocked and very spacious. It had everything we could need. Everyone had plenty of space to themselves and also plenty of room to gather comfortably. Sunsets and stars were amazing! Thank you Tom & Angie!!

This home is absolutely amazing! It's beautiful inside and outside. We had 8 people stay here for my daughter's college graduation weekend...4 nights (2 sets of grandparents, my 2 college aged kids and my husband and myself). Both sets of grandparents were able to have rooms downstairs. Each bedroom had its own bathroom. The house and porch were so spacious that people could all be together, but not feel like we were on top of each other, or we could spread out and have some quiet time.
The hosts were very responsive when I had questions....and were very patient with me. We could not have asked for better hosts.
The house is equipped with everything you could need....from kitchen supplies to water toys, etc. Everyone enjoyed their time at the house and it made my daughter's graduation even more special.
It is about a 45 minute drive into Columbia, but it is an easy drive and went by very quickly.
I highly recommend this house for a relaxing stay on a beautiful lake.

Everything about this property is beautiful! Once you walk into the house, you feel at home and the view of the lake just makes it even better than anticipated. We went the week before Christmas and the owners (Tom∠ie) had Christmas trees and the house decorated and of course, it was beautiful! The beds, furniture and outside porch were a hit with everyone. The kitchen was so well stocked with everything we needed - we love to cook as a family and there was plenty of room for the cooks and the ones that love to hang out in the kitchen. The owner (Tom) responded immediately to all our questions and even shared their decorating information! I love the house so much that I am stealing their decorating/paint colors and furniture ideas! Everyone had space to hang out and the bunk room is a bonus for teens. We did not have time to experience the lake and fire pit and we will definitely be going back! Words can not adequately describe Tom and Angie's home, you must experience it and you will not be disappointed!

The house was amazing!!! The view of the lake was gorgeous and so inviting. I got great use of the paddle board, some of us kayaked at night to see the stars and we rented a boat from the neighbor. The kitchen is well equipped and there is separate ice machine in the garage. Mornings were spent on the back porch. Mid afternoon we moved to the front where there was plenty of shade. This is a must to put on your list of vacation rentals. And the very best part, are the owners, who could not have been more gracious. Tom and Angie were a joy. I highly recommend this beautiful home.

This house was ideal for our large party with the bathrooms in every bedroom and the large open living/dining area! We rented a pontoon it was perfect for our kids to explore the lake. The owners were extremely responsive and easy to work with!

This home and property is beautiful, clean and extremely comfortable. The owners were very easy to communicate with and answered any questions we had. For a family reunion; the home, porch, fire pit, kayaks, paddle boards and lake provided everything we could hope for! We will be back.

I can't say enough about this property. We visit a different lake every year and this rental far exceeded all the others. This house was perfect for our family of 10 (adult children). It was beautifully furnished and decorated, and so clean! Everyone had their own bath and they loved that! The porch is wonderful. We spent so much time there, both on the swing and the comfortable chairs/couch...plenty of room for everyone! The kitchen is so well equipped for anything you're cooking.
We spent a lot of time swimming, boating and enjoying the house and yard. It was by far the best vacation we've had, and we definitely plan to go back. Tom was very receptive every time I reached out. If I could give this house more than 5 stars, I would!

This house exceeded our expectations! The bedrooms were much larger than we thought and the property is on a great part of the Lake Murray! The water is a bit calmer near the house and the view is incredible. We rented a boat for 4 of the 7 days, which was perfect! We got plenty of time to explore, hang out on Sandy Beach, Wake board and loved seeing all the Purple Martin Birds gravitate to Bomb Island on evening boat cruise. It is a sight to see. The kitchen is fully equipped and the open floor plan on on the main floor makes you feel apart of whatever is going on when cooking. The back porch is inviting (porch swing) a lot of seating and very comfortable. The town of Chapin is close so a grocery store is nearby...but honestly we brought all food with us and had great meals around the large kitchen table. We are an active family and like to walk/run in the am. There are many neighborhoods near by to run/walk and explore however the main road is fine to walk short a mile or two. The wild life is beautiful... birds/ deer/ turtles/ fish. The beds were extremely comfortable and communication of the owners was prompt. We will be going back for sure. Not one complaint!

We had a lovely week at Lake Murray! Tom and Angie's home was well suited for our large family! Everyone had their own space! We loved cooking all our meals in the beautiful kitchen! We had an interesting unexpected storm come through early in our stay and had great communication with the owners about items that may need to be replaced due to storm damage.
We loved spending time in the lake and appreciated all the things that were available for us to use while enjoying the lake!

We have rented three homes on Lake Murray and never been disappointed; however, Tom & Angie's place is easily our favorite. We all agreed that it's even BETTER than the online listing! The kitchen is, without a doubt, the best stocked EVER - if you want to cook in this kitchen (and we did a lot), you will find EVERYTHING you could possibly need - and you won't need to look long. Host was very responsive. This was truly a great experience, and we hope to visit Tom and Angie's place again.

The property is absolutely beautiful and true to it's listing. You walk in the front door and immediately have a full view of the backyard and lake - stunning! We have stayed on Lake Murray many times and this house by far is the BEST! We had our adult children and our grandsons with us and it could not have been a better week. It was well supplied - more than expected, very beautifully decorated, clean, ample space for all of us. It was a wonderful family vacation week!

We came to celebrate our daughter's graduation from USC. The home is absolutely beautiful and we could not have asked for a better place to celebrate !!!
From our first contact with Tom & Angie to make sure the home could accommodate the graduate's grandmother in a wheelchair, to check out they could not have been more helpful.
Our daughter's friend who is staying one more year to get her masters is booking this house for graduation weekend next year because they liked it so much.

This home on Lake Murray SC is perfect for multiple couples to gather. Each bedroom having its own bathroom provides privacy while the spacious common areas give generous opportunity to relax and interact. Then of course there’s the gorgeous lakefront with stunning sunset views.
Tom was very helpful before and during our stay. I recommend using this property for a family vacation, guest lodging for a wedding or graduation, or pulling a group of friends together.

I highly recommend this house for a getaway or lake vacation. We had 8 adults (4 couples) and everyone had their own king bed and bathroom. The house is very spacious, well-decorated, and comfortable - it exceeded our expectations from the pictures. The back yard, deck, and fire pit were perfect for a relaxing night right on the shore of the lake. Additionally, the owners were extremely responsive and accommodating. 5/5!

This property is amazing! What a wonderful location for groups or family members to gather. The owners have set the house up for pure enjoyment with spacious living areas (inside and out) and private bathrooms for each bedroom. The amenities in the kitchen were above and beyond our expectations and we loved having the covered porch for our low country boil. The view of the lake was so beautiful and could be enjoyed from almost every room in the house. The fire pit was perfect for making s'mores by the lake! One day was a complete rain out and we appreciated the assortment of games that were provided. We are already thinking about our next visit!

We had a wonderful 5 day stay for my nephew’s wedding. The weather even cooperated. The home has everything you could need for your family. The bunk room was perfect for the 4 grandkids with an assortment of toys & games for everyone. Each bedroom gave my grown kids & spouses privacy & space. The gate for the porch was perfect for keeping the little one safe. The property & dock gave plenty of room to kick a ball, run around or sit lakeside with the extra chairs. We were looking for a place for my family to stay for my wedding weekend. We needed a place big enough that we could also bring our dog. We were excited to find this place and it exceeded our expectations. It had plenty of room and was the most beautiful place. We will definitely keep this place in mind for future family lake visits!

We had a wonderful experience and would rent again! Our only concern was the coffeemaker is on its last leg. We had 12 adults who are all coffee drinkers and had struggles with both sides. But outside of that 100% satisfied and we worked through it and no one went without coffee. Thank you!

This was a bittersweet Christmas for my family but this home and the thoughtfulness of the owners went way beyond our expectations. A lot of times I’ve booked a place that looks spacious but when you get there, it’s a bit more cramped than the pics suggested. This is one of the few times I walked in and my jaw dropped. It’s absolutely gorgeous. The property is well equipped and communication with the owner was easy. It’s a quiet neighborhood at the end of the street, so our stay was quite peaceful. And just a 15 minute drive will get you to civilization! Highly recommend. Thanks for letting us have our yearly get-together here!

A high quality, thoughtfully stocked, and beautifully decorated home. Hosts made us feel very welcomed and accomodated last minute weather related changes. The private bathrooms, generous sized rooms and very comfy beds and linens provided a wonderful respite and a chance to reconnect as a family. Thank you! Hope to back. Will be thinking of that expansive deck and sunset for quite a while.

This house was wonderful for 5 adult couples (and would have been fine for 6 couples). Nice bedrooms with large, comfy beds and private (en-suite) baths for each. Even the bunk room that we did not use has its own bath. Two bedrooms plus the half bath downstairs and four bedrooms upstairs (included the bunk room). Lovely back porch with nice furniture and BIG water views! Lots of room and comfortable furniture/ big TV in the living room with a big, well equipped, kitchen plus a nice gas grill on the back porch. We really did not use the dock or kayaks/ paddle boards but did enjoy the fire pit and the homeowners provided firewood. Lots of folding chairs available in the garage for extra seating outside. Linens and all other furnishings are top notch in this lovely home. We would highly recommend this house and hope to return. Owners are very responsive. Neighborhood is lovely with close by houses so guests need to be ready to be good neighbors which we enjoyed being for a long weekend stay!
