About this house rental
"Seaside Cove" is located less than a block to the beach in Vilano Beach (also known as North Beach). Walk past 2 homes, cross A1A and you're on the beach! Drive 5 minutes and cross Vilano Bridge and you're in downtown St. Augustine loaded with shops, restaurants and historic sightseeing. The home is a 3 bd, 2 ba, 2 car garage with almost 2,200 square feet of living space. The home sleeps 9 comfortably. It also features split bedroom design with the Master (King bed) on one side and 2 other bedrooms on the other. One with a Twin and Full sized Bunkbed suitable for 3 kids and a Queen in the other. New stainless steel appliances and Keurig in kitchen and recently newly stocked with all the essentials. Rear patio w/ gazebo, grill and seating, enclosed shower for outside showering off the beach. Washer and dryer in dedicated laundry room. Fenced in rear yard with outdoor shower.
No amenities overlooked including Wi-Fi, (3) smart Roku TV's with over 100 channels, X-Box and a dedicated playroom for the kids. The Reef (oceanview), Caps on the Water (overlooking Matanza's River/Intercoastal), Beaches (overlooking Tolomato River) both have their own beach area and Aunt Kate's (local favorite for seafood and breakfast overlooking the Tolomato River).
Vilano Fishing Pier and Marina are 5 minutes away. There are several award winning golf courses within 1/2 hour away including Sawgrass PGA Tour and Country Club or visit Guana Matanzas National Wildlife Reserve with multiple parks for hiking, picnicking and other outdoor activities. Sheet, towels, shampoo, soap, stocked kitchen, beach chairs and toys provided. Great for families, couples, groups and business travelers. Minimum 3 night rental. Dog friendly, add $100 per pet max 2 pets. Home is cleaned and disinfected with CDC approved products. Contactless check-in.

Everything was great !! The only negative is that there aren't any railings for the stairs going outside to the patio. Just thinking of everyone's safety.

Overall we enjoyed the property. Really isn’t ideal for elderly or disabled. Very steep steps to backyard area. Property manager was very accommodating when we had a little issue with the ac when we arrived which she quickly had resolved.
I think it could be cleaner. I realize it is pet friendly but the floors were a little dirty. Lots of dust under the furniture.
Well stocked with paper towels, toilet paper, garbage bags. Had lots of k cups, creamer, sugar, etc. that was nice. Overall it was a nice experience. Oh, the gutters need to be tightened or something. Constant knocking sounds in the bedrooms when it’s windy.

It was a convenient walk to the beach but for the closest route had to cross A1A. This should be considered when renting to family with kids. Otherwise the house and amenities for the beach were great.

The home has a lot of wide open common areas and allows everyone to have their own space. The background was great as well! Cindy was lovely and helped us right away when we locked ourselves out of the house (completely our fault). The large washer and dryer helped with beach towels and had a very well stocked kitchen. We had a great stay!

Met some family from Fleming Island in St Augustine for a few days. This rental is a great location. Can walk to dog friendly beach and a few short minutes to Old St Aug. Better still is the 10 minute drive to the main St Augustine trolley station, let them drive for you! SO happy when there’s good towels!! Kitchen is well stocked. Lots of beach chairs, wagon in garage. House needs some repair but a comfortable choice for a beach weekend.

Very nice house. Close walk to the beach. Property manager replied very quickly to all questions. A bonus for kids (and parents) is a separate room with a couch and tv/xbox. I would definitely recommend.

The floors were filthy. The entire property needs to be repainted, the ceiling in front of fireplace looks like it is getting ready to fall in, shower curtain in main bathroom is too short water runs all over floor. The kitchen cabinet door above coffee maker was getting ready to fall off so we fixed it. I emailed after making reservation to inquire if the gas grill was in working order, I was assured it was. The grill was not in working order, but there was a brand-new one still in box in garage.
It was disappointing to say the least, I reached out to hostess during our stay but received no response. I emailed again upon departing and she indicated she did not get my original email, so I sent her a copy. She refunded $125 of the $3400.00 that was paid.
I would not recommend the property.

I had no idea where Vilano Beach was compared to where St. Augustine is, which is where we wanted to explore. It was only 11 minutes right into the Historic district. Quiet neighborhood and the house was very open and spacious. The house is also located three houses from corner, cross the street and direct access to pet friendly beach. Just what we wanted. Could use a few things in the kitchen, but many blankets and towels and things for the beach. Overall a 5 star.

I've taken a vacation in Florida at least once a year for about the last 6 years. We prefer to rent a house that is not in a rowdy spring break destination area. This area is only residential, with no rowdy cheap motels or airbrush t-shirt shacks next door. Publix is a 10-minute drive, and DoorDash service was excellent for us. A very quiet area, 15-minute drive to the historic part of St. Augustine.
The backyard is fenced-in, which was great for our 2 little dogs. They had fun trying to get close to the little lizards that were everywhere. I don't know what kind of grass is in the yard, but it was very comfortable for barefoot walks.
You don't need to worry about bringing (or buying) garbage bags, dishwasher soap, salt/pepper, laundry soap, shampoo/conditioner, body wash. All of these items were provided with more than enough for the number of days we were there. Other houses we've rented in Florida give you enough for only one or 2 days. Also, we had plenty of bath towels, hand towels and wash cloths.
The Roku TV in the living room was easy for us to use, the WiFi was fast and not laggy. We had lots of plates, silverware, glassware. We loved the Keurig coffeemaker. We didn't use the air-fryer but it's the first one I've seen in a rental house. We did a few loads of laundry and the washer and dryer both work great.
Lots of beach chairs, several coolers, a couple of bikes in the garage. Saves you space and headache to not have to bring those things with you. We didn't park in the garage, but I think you could get 2 cars in there just fine.
For this trip, we weren't able to stay "right on the beach". But this house is right across the street from the beach, a leisurely 6-minute walk. We had a 4-year-old in tow, and she didn't complain once about having to walk to the beach. Crossing the A1A is really not difficult, as the A1A is only a 2-lane road. Hang a right out of the house, walk straight for about 6 minutes and your toes are in the beach sand!
The beach was beautiful, wide and spacious. No problem finding a spacious area to set up chairs and sand castles.
The hosts were quick to respond with any questions. I would definitely rent this house again and have no reservations recommending it for your family!

The home is very nice and in a very good location. It is a very quiet neighborhood and everyone is friendly. Cindy was very nice and helpful during our stay. Excellent beach location!
Overall we had an excellent experience. The power went out about 30 minutes after we got there because of a storm LOL but came back on fairly quickly. Obviously that was not in your control. The property was just as described and looks just like the photos. Beach access was so easy. I loved that you had the wagon and the beach umbrella and beach chairs for our use. The two boogie boards were broken but I’m sure you probably were not even aware of that. And obviously , not that big of a deal. My only complaints would be the grass had not been cut in a while. When we return from the beach and try to get to the outdoor shower we saw a snake in the grass right by it when we got close and that scared the kids. Only one of us was brave enough to use the shower after that and the water pressure was almost nonexistent. The high grass was also difficult to clean up after the dog so if we left anything behind we truly apologize. I would also suggest adding a memory foam topper on the queen size bed in the one bedroom. The bed was not very comfortable for me and I would wake up kind of stiff. I am in my 50s so no spring chicken LOL
Otherwise our stay was absolutely wonderful and I have No other complaints whatsoever. Thank you so much for the use of this property. The reservation and check in and out was super easy. I would definitely recommend and I would definitely stay here again!

Perfect get -away
Perfect house for relaxing and literally across from the beach. Only short distance to down-town , amenities and restaurants. St Augustine is a wonderful place to visit. Full of History. This house and location has the comforts of your own "home" and you are only steps from everything local. Definitely recommend this home. Property manager/owner was super in communicating.

Great Location and Clean Home
We had a great stay at this vacation rental! It was super clean and so close to the beach. Great beach accessories as well (towels, umbrellas, toys). We had a few appliance issues, but the owner was quick to respond and get repairs scheduled. Would highly recommend this vacation home to other families.

The house was better than expected. It was clean, fully loaded kitchen that including k-cups and coffee as well as coffee mate which was an added bonus. There were plenty of beach towels and beach equipment from umbrellas to chairs as well

Perfect beach house
The location was perfect to easily walk to the beach and was a quick 12 min trip to downtown St. A. I booked the house to be near my wedding venue in south ponte vedra beach while still being able to easily go downtown and get around to anywhere in the area quickly. Cindy was a wonderful host and answered all my emails promptly! Would definitely stay here again.

Great property for a relaxing getaway
My husband and I really enjoyed staying here with our German Shepherd. The neighborhood is nice and quiet and the backyard seating made for some nice down time after being out in the city all day. It’s a short walk to the beach and a short drive into downtown St. Augustine.
