About this cottage rental

This charming terraced cottage is situated right in the heart of the quaint fishing village of Flamborough, just a mile from the beaches of North Landing and South Landing, and two miles from the famous Flamborough lighthouse. It is called Coble Cottage after the local coble fishing boats.

Please note: Last minute short stays are welcome.

Set over three floors, it offers spacious accommodation with its three bedrooms, including a stunning four poster double master bedroom, a comfortable twin room and a lovely quiet double room at the top of the house. With an open fire in the cosy living room and a wood burning stove in the dining room, you’ll be able to keep toasty and warm, wherever you choose to relax on those cooler evenings. And if you don't want to light the fires, there is gas central heating throughout. The cottage has a well-equipped kitchen and a bathroom with toilet and over-bath shower, and outside there is a handy shared courtyard. The cottage is pet friendly, so you may bring your well-behaved dog to share in your break, with the local beaches in Flamborough dog friendly all year round.

Coble Cottage could be just the place to enjoy that picture-perfect holiday. Come in spring and early summer to catch a glimpse of the famous puffins or guillemots along the cliffs, or from the local RSPB nesting grounds at nearby Bempton Cliffs. Visit in the height of summer to try out the multitude of local walks along the stunning coastline, or to build sandcastles on one of the local beaches with the children. An autumn or winter break would be perfect in this cosy cottage, which is open all year round, with the convenience of pubs and restaurants right on the doorstep and a local Co-op just around the corner. There is even a village post office nearby.

Flamborough boasts one of the oldest lighthouses in England, as well as a working lighthouse originally built in the 1800s. Sewerby Hall and children's zoo is just three miles away and there’s plenty more to do in local towns like Bridlington, Filey, Scarborough and further afield.

The cottage is well placed in the centre of Flamborough village with pubs and shops close by. There was a white van parked on the road outside the whole time but we parked either on the side or front a few doors down fairly easily. The rooms were surprisingly spacious for a cottage and we were very comfortable. My husband wants to thank the owners for the storage- every room had a proper wardrobe and there was a shoe rack and a coat rack which was great. I found entertaining the kids on rainy days easy as there was a radio and cd player, dvd player (both with lots of discs) and games in the dining and living rooms. They even played shop at the stable door to the courtyard. The kitchen was well equipped although the oven was a bit dirty and we had to wash the cutlery and some dishes before we used them. The bedrooms had lots of pillows and extra blankets which were occasionally needed. The information for visitors was really useful and Flamborough itself was a lovely little place. We went on lovely walks to North and South landing beaches and took short drives to the lighthouse and Sewerby Hall. We played pitch and putt at Sewerby and enjoyed the zoo. On our last day we drove into Bridlington which wasn't nearly as nice but had good amusement arcades.

Enjoyed our stay here again, everything we needed is here and it’s a warm and cosy place for an unseasonably cold April.

We stayed in the cottage last year and decided to come back because we enjoyed it so much. The property is homely and very well equipped. The location is great and parking is easy just outside the front door or round the corner. We will be back.
