This home is better than the photos. Comfortable beds, spa bath with all the extras, nice deck in the back. Everything you need in the well appointed kitchen! I will stay here again as it is so easy to get everywhere in North Austin. I even stayed an extra night!

We had a comfortable stay. The neighborhood was very quiet and safe. House clean and nice. Lots to do in the Austin area.

This home was exactly what we needed. Clean, beautiful, comfortable and talking with host was very easy. We didn't use it, but the outside space was awesome. I would definitely rent again.

Owners have done a beautiful job of making this home gorgeous with furnishings, new baths and kitchen, making it extremely comfy to hang out inside and out. We loved the location as it was easy access to Hill Country, eclipse, and wildflowers - all of which were our main focus. Close to very good restaurants as well. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Many thanks!

Beautiful house for a beautiful time in Austin at our son's wedding. Cheryl was so accommodating and answered messages right away. Everything was spotless and comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

I highly recommend this property because everything is perfect. The neighborhood is beautiful, the beds are super comfortable, very clean

Great house. Had everything we needed and more. Great communication with owner. Enjoyed the outside deck as well with the lovely setting with the woods in the back. We would definitely recommend this as a home to stay in.

What a beautiful home - so clean and inviting. I really loved all the new appliances and the master shower was amazing! The only reason this stay is 4 stars is that for me the master bed unfortunately was not firm enough, causing some back pain - luckily a different bedroom had the perfect mattress for me, super comfortable there. Loved the TVs and back yard also.
The neighborhood was so quiet and I woke to the sound of birds singing behind the backyard. Super convenient to everything, great property and location. Thank you Cheryl!

The property was perfect for our needs. The location is centrally located near all of our relatives, favorite eating spots, and shopping centers. The house is extremely clean and quiet. If available in the future, this will be our first choice for Austin.

This was exactly what my family was looking for as a retreat for some good sleep between spending the days with my sister and brother-in-law over the holidays.
The property was clean and well stocked for what we needed. The living room and kitchen were much larger than they look in the pictures, plenty of room for the five of us to spread out and relax some. Then the beds gave us some comfortable nights of sleep!
Check-in and check-out were a breeze. We had a few questions come up during our stay and Cheryl was always super fast to respond and help us out.
The backyard was also great, I wish we had more time/warmer days to enjoy it! The nice big table and grill would be perfect for enjoying a meal outside. And the big shower and tub were loved by all!
If you're looking for downtown Austin, that's a bit of a drive south but for what we needed it was perfect, and easy access to highways, the airport not too far away, and there's plenty of shopping nearby in most directions.
Would highly recommend this place, and will have to maybe stay again in the future for our family's Austin visits!

We stayed at Milwood over the weekend and had a great time. Milwood is about 30 minutes from the airport and downtown Austin. However, it is less than five minutes from HEB and less than 10 minutes from a variety of restaurants and fast food places in any direction you go.
We enjoyed morning coffee on the patio. The house backs up to a green space and located in a quiet neighborhood. The house has everything you need from comfy beds, two full bathrooms and a nice kitchen with necessities for making meals.
The communication was great between us and the owner. Cheryl was super responsive, even over the weekend.
We would definitely recommend this home and would stay here again.

Good location and comfortable, but a deep cleaning is still needed.

My daughter and I were in Austin, Texas for a figure skating competition. This was our first visit to Texas, and the city and property didn't disappoint.
The property is centrally located to a lot that Austin has to offer. Not only was the property clean and comfortable, but communication with the property owner was excellent. The neighborhood was very quiet and the driveway was well shaded. This might not matter to some, but from what we heard, the temperatures were at an unusual high when we visited. It kept the car somewhat cooler.
I highly recommend this property.

We enjoyed our visit to Austin. This home is well equipped with all the standard things & has A/C, which is very important in the TX heat/humidity of summer. The washing machine broke & the owner resolved the issue within 2 days with good communication on the issue. The beds were comfortable in this home. We liked Schiltterbahn waterpark, Terry Black's BBQ, shops on So Commerce, Zilker park, and our day trips to San Antonio (Riverwalk & the Alamo) and to Waco (Magnolia Silos of course). The disc golf course near the house was really awesome, per my son. And we went to a AAA baseball game in Round Rock (Salt Lick bbq restaurant is excellent right by the parking lot). You can get to many suburbs easily from this home. Get the toll bridge add-on to your car rental as there's toll bridges everywhere you'll want to go during your stay.

The location of the property is excellent and we felt extremely safe. The master bedroom bed and shower were superb. My low rating is for the cleanliness of the property. Refrigerator, kitchen drawers, second bathroom, door leading to deck, the grill, and the deck area were all dirty and not maintained. This property had great reviews about cleanliness, so perhaps they got a new cleaning company or something happened, but cobwebs with bugs in the corner of the door leading to outside deck and cobwebs all over the Picnic table leads me to think there needs to be better upkeep on the property. I had to clean the refrigerator and bathroom and washer before we used them. I would not recommend this property until a guarantee of cleanliness is given.

Perfect for what we needed. Really nice master bedroom mattress. Now we have to buy a new one. My husband liked it so much. Really handy little instruction book.

Beds were comfortable. Home was nice. Close to everything we were doing in Austin. Very good host.

We had an amazing stay at the Milwood house. The home was very clean, spacious, beautifully decorated and well organized. Our kids and dog loved staying here. Everything you need to be comfortable whether you are staying for a a few days or a month is provided. The furniture, beds and amenities are all very comfortable and well thought out for your enjoyment. The backyard is spacious and set up to be enjoyed with great seating, a tv, grill, large deck and privacy. The location cannot be beat. The house is in a quiet and safe neighborhood just minutes for the domain, great restaurants, shopping and a quick drive to downtown. The host is very responsive and ready and willing to make sure your stay is amazing. We loved our stay and look forward
To staying here again soon!

Property was exactly as advertised. Large rooms with a lot of space. Luxury bathrooms. Comfortable furniture and beds. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient to Austin and The Domain. The backyard space was extremely enjoyable (we had breakfast out there every morning.). The property owner was communicative and responsive. Highly recommend to anyone staying in Austin!

We had a great stay at Cheryl's. Her home had everything we needed, including the kitchen - which we appreciated. The luxury bath was a treat. We had to extend our stay in her home and Cheryl was very helpful and kind in facilitating that for us. We would stay here again!

The home was nicely designed and clean. Kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The Beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets. The Master Bathroom shower was very nice.

Pet friendly Austin home Jan 16-20, 2022
We are long-time renters on the East Coast and I like leaving reviews, so this will be lengthy. We had a great 3-night stay at Cheryl’s beautiful MCM home. It was easy to find and the neighborhood is quiet. The dog-friendly aspect of this house was a key factor in our decision to rent; our daughter (who lives in south Austin) and her rescue pup Liza stayed with us all 3 nights. The house was comfortable and spacious, and Liza loved the fenced yard and deck, and the easy walks around the very pretty development. The weather was wonderful for most of our stay, and the house has a great HVAC system that warms and cools well. The sunny deck in the afternoon was a favorite spot, and we also enjoyed a meal out there. The lights that come on in the evening make the space really cozy.
Before our trip, I read the recent December review re: the lack of cleanliness at the house and sent a message to Cheryl expressing some concern. She responded immediately, stating that a new cleaning service had been hired and changes had been made. This put my mind at ease, and the house was immaculate when we arrived. The king bedroom is luxurious, and the smaller queen bedroom is beautiful too. Comfortable mattresses in both rooms with lots of pillow options. The kitchen and bathrooms were well-stocked and spotless, with plenty of towels in the bathrooms. The laundry room was a plus too.
Due to COVID, we did not dine out as much as we have on previous stays, but we cooked dinner in on two nights and the kitchen is fantastic. Beautiful, easy to use and equipped with everything. The H. E. B. grocery store is 5 minutes away; just about everyone was masked and it’s a great one-stop grocery store. We did a fair amount of DoorDash also, which worked well for us.
The spa bathroom in the master is beautiful, and I hit the soaker tub the night we arrived. FYI: the tub takes a LONG time to fill, but is so worth it. One other thing worth mentioning; the house’s living room and master are a bit dark, even during the day, since there are homes on both sides. The existing lights seemed low wattage, and I had a tough time finding a place to read at night; I went out on the deck during the day. Also, the king bed is on a platform that was high, even for me at 5’ 10”. That might be a consideration for some older folks.
Overall, this was definitely a 5-star stay, and we’d love to book again the next time we’re in Austin. Thanks so much, Cheryl!

We were pretty disappointed with our stay. Here are the pro’s and con’s:
Pro’s: owners were quick to respond
Property backs up to the green belt so we saw some interesting wildlife
The beds were very comfortable
Good location
Recently renovated
Con’s:
This place was very dirty. On the first day, our feet stuck to the kitchen floor and there were fur/hair balls in the corners. They were quick to send the cleaners to mop it again; however, the entire house needs a deep clean. There were crumbs in the drawers with the utensils, every pot or pan we tried to use had to be hand washed first. There was a big wad of black hair under the floor mat, water spots on the inside of the sinks, cobwebs hanging from the decor In the bathroom, dirt inside the dining room light fixture, and mold on the inside of the shower curtain liner. I dropped a sock next to the dryer and pulled out one that wasn’t ours covered in lint and dust.
The fridge had used food in it and smelled bad, and the pantry had opened food items…it was really confusing to tell what was for us to use and what is the home owners.
The “coffee station” was a regular coffee maker (not the fancy one shown in pics) and an already opened, used bag of coffee. The filters supplied didn’t fit the machine and made a huge mess. (She did bring some by after we contacted her).
They left snacks in a bin on the counter for us and they were expired, as well as many of the spices we attempted to use.
The pots/pans/small appliances left for us to use were in a huge pile you had to dig through to find things.
There were very few towels for our family of 5. (Maybe 6?)
The master closet was locked, so we had no closet for our 7 day stay, and had all of our clothes in our bags. The other closets were large but came with ZERO hangers (for 5 people for 7 days!). When we contacted her, she brought some over but we had already purchased some.
This house is really cute for a small family, and has a ton of potential if it were to have a serious cleaning. Especially in a pandemic…having things clean and sanitary is top priority! It was so bad that we seriously considered finding another place…but we had been on the road for several days and had already unpacked all of our stuff from the car.
