We had the best family vacation. The home was well stocked with all the necessities and clean. It was the perfect location for us. Close enough to Acadia and a short walk from the small town. We had a wonderful time! Would recommend a stay here!

Great location in Acadia and a wonderful house for large groups.

The hosts were very accommodating and quick at responding. The house was exactly what we needed! Very spacious, a bathroom for everyone, extra kitchen space and a dining table to fit everyone. The house was easy to find, easy to park at, and was in a great location for going to Bar Harbor as well as Acadia!

We really enjoyed our stay. Walking distance to excellent restaurants! All couples had a private bath which was great!! You can drive so easily everywhere. This worked perfectly for our group of 12.

Once the rain cleared out after our first day we had a great time at Bar Harbor and at the house in the evenings.

Convenient location to Bar Harbor and Acadia. Ample space for a large group to gather in the house. TVs in most rooms. Wi-Fi good. Quiet neighborhood. Great local restaurants down the street.

We had a great family stay in SW Harbor celebrating 30th, 60th and 90th birthdays. The house was comfortable and having a bathroom per room and 2 kitchens was a big plus. We walked to town as well as MDI Lobster, Beal Lobster and the Claremont for drinks. Hiking trailheads just minutes away and short drive to Acadia entrance was very convenient. If you do the summit drive, make sure you don't miss your timed entry, they will not let you in! Our best score at the local mini-golf was 42. We had a couple minor issues/ questions during our stay and Kris replied very quickly via the Vrbo app and all was good!

We had a super time. The house is just terrific - and ideally located for a terrific stay on MDI. The house is very well equipped and the management is very responsive - so all good. Thanks again !

We had a wonderful stay in August for a week the house was well equipped with everything except towels wash cloths. You will only have one towel and one wash cloth for the week. It was very walkable to town and to the pier.

Eleven family members shared Clark Point Inn. There was ample room for all of us, and great communal spaces with two kitchens, living room, and a sunporch. I think everybody enjoyed having their own bedroom/bathroom.
The location is top notch. Less than half a mile to beals Lobster Pier and less than a half mile to downtown Southwest Harbor and some really good eats. The views are lovely. Also close to an island explorer stop.
The house was very clean and well-appointed.
And six parking spots!

We ended up with 8 people celebrating a family member's 80th birthday and sharing the 6 bedrooms and 7 bathrooms in the house so everyone was very happy. Southwest Harbor turned out to be a perfect place to enjoy all that Acadia National Park and the gorgeous surrounds offer without having to deal with the hassle and overcrowdedness of being directly in Bar Harbor. There are a number of good restaurants, a coffee shop (walking distance from house) and ample outdoor activities near the house, but Bar Harbor is less than 30 minutes away so you can go there whenever you like as well. For those who love gardens, the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller, Asticou and Thuya gardens are all very highly recommended if you will be there in the summer months. They're actually quite stunningly beautiful. Also, nearby Echo Lake has a very nice beach and the water is warm enough to swim, which in my past visits to Maine is not something I could say about the ocean - it's freezing as I remember. We all decided the location and the amenities of the house were about as good as we could have found and if we ever came back this would be the place we would rent again.

We really enjoyed our stay in Southwest Harbor. Quaint small town in close proximity to Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. The only negative was that most restaurants in Southwest Harbor had closed or were closing for the season, so we would plan better for that next time.

Nice century home … spectacular harbor views.. great neighborhood and lovely quaint town within walking distance. Enjoyed the shops, bakery and visiting South West Harbor Library (library staff members were kind, cheerful and very helpful!)
Look forward to visiting again soon.

Great property for a group--"quite-side" location (although street a little busy); lots of windows/screens; well-stocked kitchen; window ACs in every bedroom; shops and restaurants close-by (mostly walking distance); Echo lake and some hikes/climbs less than 10-minute drive. Highly recommended!

Southwest Harbor is great
Great set up for a family with a couple of grandchildren plus adults. More relaxed than the other side and hiking trails were far less crowded.

Perfect for large family of adult kids with partners
The property was just as described and was perfect for my husband and I and our 4 adult children and their partners. The house had enough cook-wear we needed to prepare meals, plenty of plates silverware, and drink ware, etc. the sleeping spaces -each with their own bathroom and sitting areas were great! The whole house was clean and well appointed. Each bedroom had its own temp control which was a lovely bonus. Although we visited early in the season and a number of shops & restaurants were not open yet, there was plenty to meet our needs and they were super convenient. We spent most of our days at various Acadia activities and they were easy to get to. We thoroughly enjoyed staying in a quieter area but having easy access to everything we wanted within the park.

Autumn Colors in Acadia
This home served as a delightful gathering spot and base camp for our visit to Acadia National Park. Plenty of room for our party of 8, and we loved the well stocked industrial kitchen to prepare delicious meals after a day of hiking in the park.

Wedding weekend
We got married at sand beach in Acadia National park and we’re looking for a place that our family could all stay together and this place got the bill perfectly! We had enough room for 10 people and didn’t feel cramped once! Even when we had a big lobster cook meal! The place was stocked VERY nicely and the owners communication was great! All this made for a very special and memorable experience for our special weekend!

Southwest Harbor is th Best
6 adults visited at this wonderful Clark Point home for 7 glorious nights. It is in the perfect location for hiking Acadia National Park, visiting many landmarks, and eating scrumptious food.
The home is perfect, cosy, well-equipped, and very, very roomy. Each guest had their own bathroom. This was a first for the many hiking vacations I have taken with my friends. We were all so excited about the privacy we were blessed with. All the beds were so comfy and plenty blankets were in each room for the chilly nights. I could go on and on, but I think you will understand how wonderful this home is….just give it a try.
Hiking and landmarks were nearby. You are in the middle of it all. A short drive to Bar Harbor and an equally short drive to East Harbor towns. Some of us even walked to restaurants for evening meals.
Thank you for a wonderful home away from home.
Two words: Just perfect.

Spacious home in SW Harbor
Every bedroom has en suite bathroom, which is unusual for rentals. The common areas are large enough for big groups. The beds were comfortable though some of us found the pillows too firm. The bathroom towels were quite soft. The main kitchen is well stocked with cookware, utensils, dishes, etc. There is a second kitchen with the dining area and an additional fridge and oven. We really enjoyed the front enclosed porch for gathering. The owners responded within minutes to our inquiries and were very helpful. We highly recommend this property.

Great property!
The Clark Point House was perfect for our group. 5 Adults and 4 children meant we had more than enough room. The house was very clean and nicely appointed. Having the unique set-up of 2 kitchens was a bonus and the ability to do some quick laundry a plus. The location is fantastic and on a lightly traveled quiet street. You have 9+ easily walkable restaurants options, the Cranberry ferry across the street and even with MDI in full swing and very busy nothing was more than a 30 minute drive away. The owners supplied excellent information on both the house and the surrounding area. Overall it was a great stay.

Charming house, perfect location!!!
This house had it all. We were a large group of 3 families. The two kitchens came in very handy, we were able to have many meals all together on the large dinning table, it was wonderful. Girls loved having their own special room up on the top floor with beautiful views of the harbor. The house had many amenities with a nice open floor plan. Lots of wonderful sunlight comes through the multiple skylight windows. Location was perfect and the parking lot behind the house was spacious. Garbage pick up was very convenient, and they came directly to the shed for pick up. Loved having bathrooms attached to each bedroom. We had a wonderful time and made a lot of sweet memories during our stay.

We loved everything about this house! It was clean and had everything we needed, a short walk into town, and plenty of space for our large family. I love that every room has a separate bathroom and AC units! The hosts were great and responded back quickly and thoroughly. We will definitely be booking again for future trips!
