When you rent just about any home with a boat dock on the Spokane River or Lake CDA, there's an expectation of hospitality/features that should accompany it. While this house was clean and comfortable, it did not meet the standards of any other home we've rented before on the lake/river. It needs to be modernized to meet today's standards for this area.
Here are some examples:
-The main television for the house isn't a Smart TV, (they offer a small Smart TV in the bedroom)
-The pull-out sofa bed in the loft was terribly uncomfortable for sleeping
-The ceiling fan in master bedroom made annoying noises
-The master bed was creaky (but comfortable)
-The master bath shower head was not properly aligned
-No hooks/towel racks to hang wet items from in the master bathroom
Outside of an old canoe, outdoor items (toys) from a house in this price range are neither provided nor available to the renter such as:
-Paddleboards
-Kayaks
-Yard Games
-Fishing rods/equipment
-Ice chests
-Spare gas tanks (for boat)
In addition, the management company responsible for this house provided minimal basic nescessities. These include:
-Shampoo/Conditioner/Body Wash/Toilet paper/Paper Towels provided for 2 day stay, not for 9 days
-No napkins/tissues provided at all
-House spices are not adequately stocked
-No beach towels
If you keep your expectations low, you will probably be satisfied. However, if you ever rented another house on the Spokane River or on Lake CDA, you will likely be disappointed.

This was a great location and set up for our family as we prepared for the wedding of our son. The location is perfect in proximity to Post Falls and Coeur d’Alene. We were so happy to have this special time with our family at this very special home. Great memories were made!

The location of this VRBO was perfect. So happy we found this place. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone

Property was spotless. Very spacious. Family and friends came by to visit us during our stay, lots of room to accommodate everyone comfortably.
There is a large kitchen that was comfortable to cook in. We cooked every day breakfast and dinner. There are even a small collection of spices available.
Three bathrooms! Trust me, it's needed with a big group.
The canoe was enjoyed by everyone and the family enjoyed swimming just off the beach.
This is not a super lux home, it's a spotless, comfortable older home and is perfect for those that cringe at the thought of hotel stays.
Management is very attentive and quick to respond. Very pleased.
My only suggestions:
1) A rug that can be put down in the master bathroom. Floor can get slick.
2) Master bed is very noisy and creaks with every moment. It's NOT uncomfortable though.
3) Paved path to the boat house needs sweeping. Impossible to walk barefoot on.
4) Posting a welcome for the home, adding little details like where to find items in the home would be helpful. Not everyone has phones or service. Our old phones struggled so we found ourselves texting with questions we later realized we're in a prepared link. Some of us are just old school.
5) A check out time of 11 would be very much appreciated, especially for older family members. We've NEVER left a home a mess and never will. A bit extra time to sleep before gathering up to clean up after ones self would be greatly appreciated.
Over all stay a 10!!

We needed a place close to my brothers house thats how we found this one. It was 3 min. to his home.

House was decent although clearly a stretch to hold 9 people. VRBO was worthless. will not use you again.

This is intended for the VRBO staff only!!
We had an awesome time! Thank you very much.
Here are some suggestions that I think will improve the experience:
Place some garbage cans in the kitchen/bathrooms. There is no where to put garbage. We ended up leaving plastic grocery bags in different spots to put the day to day trash in.
There are not hooks or towel racks anywhere. Towels were stored on the counter which also had to hold wet towels. This reduced the available counter space to near nothing.
There is something blocking or preventing the kitchen faucet nozzle from coming out of its holder very far which limits the ability to wash or rinse dishes or even fill up the coffee pot.
Again, we had an awesome time and appreciate you for making this home available to us.

First of all, our stay was very enjoyable overall, the scenery was beautiful, but important things needed repair. I was however, very happy with the maintainance guy when we shared our issues with the management. The top bunk of the bed was not usable the first night because it was swaying and loose. I'm 120 pounds so it should hold me but it felt unsafe. The sleeper sofa has prominent springs that poke and the mattress sags. Not comfortable. We were able to drive home on the second day and get our camping cot with a good matttress and that saved the sleeping arrangement for the remainder of the trip. Next, most of the dining room chairs were loose and unsafe, with the backs reclining and the legs very loose. My father in law almost fell when he sat down. Third, one of us went to open the sliding shower door on the second floor and the entire door system with the frame came out halfway. We were able to push it back in thankfully and it was fixed the next day. Thought someone would want to know so in the future it can be double checked for the guests.

Rental was very clean with no off odors in any room. Master bedroom and upstairs queen mattresses were comfortable. We did not use the room with bunk beds
Kitchen needs:
1. Coffee pot
2. Ice maker stopped making ice on day 4
3. 13 gallon garbage can since the trash compactor is not operable (sign says not to use)
4. Dish towels and rags
5. Spray bottle of cleaner to wipe down tile counter tops
6. Better selection of quality pots and pans – the ones there were old, dirty, stained, scratched and the Teflon was flaked off on most of them.
7. Large strainer (for rinsing spaghetti and lettuce)
8. Additional silverware settings needed – ran out after the first day and there were only 3 of us (rental sleeps 9)
9. Quality utensils and knives and they all need to be located in one central area. They were randomly put in several kitchen drawers – needed a rubber spatula
10. Measuring cup set and teaspoon/tablespoon measuring spoons
11. Basics like Saran wrap and foil
12. Selection of large serving bowls – family salad size preferably with a cover
13. Jelly roll pan or cookie sheets
Bedrooms needs:
1. None of the beds had mattress pads
2. Need new quality pillows – pillows smelled musty and some were flat with age
Master Bedroom
1. Weird two sided cabinet
Bathroom needs:
1. Laundry Room - garbage can next to toilet is needed
2. Upstairs bath – need hooks to hang towels to dry or to hang clothes on, towel rack, needs safety handrail to grab getting in/out of shower, needs a bathmat to prevent falls (we used a towel)
3. Master bath – needs safety handrails to prevent tripping or falling getting in/out of shower, needs a towel rack next to shower entry, needs a bath mat
Living Room
1. Need coasters to prevent damage to furniture
2. Comfort factor of living room furniture was just okay. All living room chairs were broken down with age so were not comfortable after a short period of time. Need foot rests for chairs that do not recline.
Misc.
1. With Covid, it would be reassuring if there were Hepa air filters in the rental, hand sanitizers in in all rooms and Kleenex available
2. Have a flyer on table indicating what safety measures were done to sanitize the rental to assure the guests that it is clean and sanitized ready for an enjoyable stay
3. Binder with rental rules, regulations, Wi-Fi password, local menus, rental address so if calling for delivery you have that information available, and what the renter needs to do when checking out
