About this apartment rental
Cozy 1950 mill village-turned farmhouse prvt basement suite w/own entrance. Kitchenette, den w/electric fireplace/heater and 40” smart tv w/roku, large bedroom w/builtin desk, bathroom and 2nd quasi-Prvt Space w twin bed.All new Beautiful decor, +. Tankless Water Heater! Nestled in beautiful, booming Belmont w/EZaccess to All major interstates, Airport, Belmont Abbey, Whitewater Ctr. 1 car-please park on curb n front of our home.Located in quite older ‘transitioning’ mill village neighborhood.We have 1 indoor kitty and pup.
The space
My husband , son and I live in the main/upper part of our home, and our private finished basement suite is right below. (BUNGABelow). May hear occasional floor squeaking (we call that old house charm). Neighborhood is very convenient to downtown Belmont and not far from Charlotte, is a ‘transitioning’ place with some homes (like ours) that have been renovated, others haven’t yet. Oh, we share our home with our sweet cat, Junie, who does not enter the BungaBelow and a sweet indoor pup. NO pets, parties, smoking, or filming on site. Please limit cars to one and please park on curb in front of our home.
Other things to note
It’s our basement with approx 7’ ceilings so if you’re super tall, you may find the ceilings to be a tad low. PARKING is on the curb in front of our house.
Must be 24 to book. No smoking of anything at anytime anywhere!
There is one brand new cali-KING sized memory foam bed, however our love seat in the den may be used for an extra (small) guest AND second ‘bedroom space’ is a cozy quasi-private area off the den and has a memory foam twin size, antique metal bed. The one bathroom is only accessible via the master bedroom so while we can accommodate 3 people, it might be COZY! We do live (the BungaBelow is a private basement suite) above so you might hear muffled voices! We have a white noise maker above to offer added privacy.
Lots of extras; cool k-coffee station, cold bottled water, snacks, and brand new 40” smart LED Roku TV. For safety/security of our family, guests and property, we have a blink doorbell/camera at OUR front door only as well as 4 outdoor blink cameras. 1 is @front of our house, 1 is down the driveway(in tree), 1 is also a flood light by trash can area, 1 on side house facing woods/our personal firepit.

We stayed for a week and had such a wonderful stay. The place is clean and cozy, with everything you need. The host was extremely helpful answering questions and even provided some treats for my children when we arrived. All of us loved staying there and hope to return! We highly recommend it.

The BungaBelow is a cute, cozy space and was perfect for two of us. We used it as our base as we explored the Charlotte area, going hiking and boating, visiting breweries and the Whitewater Center. Cindy is a great host, and you’ll be best friends with Junie (the cat) by the time you leave.

This was the perfect place to stay for two weekends in a row to go to the Whitewater Center. So convenient and right near downtown Belmont. The host was very responsive to all of our needs. We will be back!

Pleasantly surprised with the size of the “little” bungalow below!! Great space. Only two of us. But plenty of room for 1-2 more adults. Thanks for a nice stay.

Overall, the experience was very positive. The space was exactly what I saw online and the decor was inviting, charming and cozy. Highlights of the stay were the gas fireplace where my daughter and I hung out and talked in depth about the college tour experience. Master bedroom was very comfortable sleeping. It's a quiet neighborhood tucked away. We enjoyed being greeted by the cat!

Yes, I said Best. It’s one thing to find just somewhere to stay; it’s another to find a home away from home. We have stayed in several places (my daughter and I). This is by far our favorite. You can walk into a space and tell whether or not love and care has been placed into it. We walked into this one after a pretty rough day and it was immediately our safe haven. My daughter has nicknamed this particular spot “The Nest”. Everything from the cleanliness to the small thoughts that went into providing little niceties. Cindy is more than a gracious host. She has blessed this spot to many people as a “comeback” to make more memories.

We found this quaint bungalow VRBO to be everything the listing stated! Cleanliness and efficiency were very evident and appreciated! We were 21 minutes from downtown Charlotte! We would highly recommend this wonderful cottage!!

Perfect spot when visiting Belmont. Convenient to downtown Belmont and Belmont Abbey. Adorable basement apartment with everything you might need. Plus outdoor breezeway patio. Absolutely adorable!
The pictures and description are exactly what you get and so much more. The personalized welcome sign and snacks start your stay off on a perfectly delightful foot.
There is plenty of room in the bedroom to spread out and make yourself at home. The bathroom also has nice storage and items to use for your convenience like Qtips, hair ties, and other toiletries. They even have dark colored makeup towels so you can wash your face without worrying about staining any wash cloths!
Parking on the street may seem odd but parking is a premium in Charlotte so we were excited to find a place where we were guaranteed a spot.
Great location - close to restaurants like Chick-fil-A and a pizza joint.
Also really close to WalMart if you forgot anything or want to stock the fridge.

We had a great stay here! We were all very comfortable and the property owner made sure we had everything we needed including providing a place for our 1 yearly old to safely sleep! We loved it and would definitely go back.

Summer road trip
We stayed in the Bungabelow on our way to and from Florida. It is the cutest place and the attention to detail is second to none. The location was perfect and we were so comfortable. We stayed a second time on our way back from Florida and it definitely felt like home away from home. We truly enjoyed and highly recommend staying here!

Just Perfect!
I stayed at the Bungalow with my 4 year old daughter and it was perfect for us. Perfect location, perfect amount of space for us, very clean, super friendly and welcoming hosts. Really, it was beyond our expectations. Cindy and her husband are so sweet and thoughtful. They made sure we had everything we needed and more. We will be back! While I can not CONFIRM this is the best VRBO host I've stayed with. I can say this....they're probabily a hard act to follow. If you're in this area of NC...you can not pick a better locale then this one. Near to most attractions. The accommodations were cozy and comfortable. If you're tall? Might be challenging. I'm over six foot, I did just fine, but I see these things. Great Hosts, Thank you Cindy & Kent!
