About this house rental
With gorgeous mountain views of the Blue Ridge and Blackrock Village this luxury mountain home is one of the largest in the Wintergreen Retreat Luxury Home collection. Featuring 5 bedrooms, 3 full baths, and 2 half baths. The level drive and one step access into the main level allows for easy access. Once inside you will be impressed with the gracious open floor plan and spacious rooms throughout.
The main level master bedroom suite is great for family members with limited mobility. The home also features a backup generator and advanced water conditioning system for our guests comfort and convenience.
The main level includes the soaring, light filled Great Room with cathedral ceiling & stone fireplace, large eat in kitchen with granite, handsome cabinets, tile floors & beautiful master suite with steam shower. Upstairs includes 2 guest bedrooms with multiple sleeping options, full bath and loft with a desk.
The lower level allows for more activities in an additional family room with fireplace, a master suite with full bath, a separate bedroom with a large sleeping capacity, and a half bath. Beautifully maintained and tastefully furnished so you can just walk in and begin enjoying your new Wintergreen vacation!

It was great again. This is our 3rd or 4th year. A few items needing repair on the deck and the door leading to it.Very comfortable and well equipped kitchen and bathrooms.

We had an amazing time at the “Retreat” house. The balcony has a great view and plenty of seating for a crowd, and the 5 bedrooms gave everyone their own little sanctuary at bed time. We loved having the piano there, and enjoyed jam sessions after dinner each night. During the day we visited wineries and breweries, in the valley and attended Wintergreen Music Festival concerts. The kitchen was well stocked for a large crowd of foodies, too. Great hosts and fabulous home. Hoping to return!

My family and I stayed at this property and it was perfect for our occasion! The home is beautiful, spacious, and has amazing views in the mountains. Everything was very clean and the home had everything we needed. The host was responsive and accommodating with a late check out that gave us more time for a morning brunch before leaving :) thanks for the great trip!

The house was clean and well-appointed. All 12 of us had comfortable beds, and loved the balconies & decks around the house. Nathan, the host was accommodating and easy to deal with. Can't wait to come back!

Property was exceptional and felt like someone actually lived there vs. a unit which is strictly for a rental investment. The manager Nathan was an excellent host and very timely on responses. He was very helpful related to some access issues for our special needs son (to the pool, house, etc.). Even though it rained every day of our stay, the house was large, well stocked and comfortable. The owners must be great cooks because the kitchen was well equipped with pro-grade knives, pots, pans and appliances. Would definitely recommend and stay there again.

As described, spacious, and generously supplied with everything needed for our large group aged 2 years to 80! Loved the mature hardwood forest ambiance with birds, bears (nearby) and even a bobcat! Thanks and hope we can return someday soon.

Nice property that fit the bill for what we needed. Lots of beds for our annual uncles and cousins guys trip for golf. Great view for sun rises in the morning. Some cracks in walls from settlement showing but other wise well maintained. Had an issue with opening up the two doors onto the main deck. But property manager had someone out in the early AM to fix (they were off their runners). No separate thermostat for downstairs but space heaters were enough and were provided.

Great house to spread out a big group. Teens have basement adults had main level. Skiing was good and easy drive from house. Not much parking 2 or 3 cars would be max but we only had 2 so we were good. House needs a pizza cutter that was the only thing we missed.

I want to start with the owner, Nathan, he could not been more accommodating. There were 8 of us coming for a girls weekend that we had been planning for 6 months. We booked this property at the last minute (3 days prior to our arrival) because the property we originally rented had a flood and repairs could not be made in time for our arrival. Nathan was very responsive to all my communications and we had all the necessary check in information with minutes of making the reservation. He saved our weekend - THANK YOU Nathan!
The house itself was fabulous - it is well maintained and it was immaculate. The kitchen was very well stocked, the linens and towels were very nice, and the furniture was clean and comfortable. It was a beautiful weekend and we spent a lot of time out on the deck - even the cushions for the deck chairs were clean and very comfortable. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out. We get together at least once a year and this house was one of the nicest houses we have rented. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again.

This was one of the cleanest homes we have ever rented. It is well appointed and in a great location. There are some great hiking trails within steps of the home and the tennis courts and golf course are just around the corner. The beds were very comfortable and extra amenities like shampoo in case you forget something. The owners made it very easy to check in with specific instructions provided prior to the visit.

Wonderful house and perfect host
The house is very large and spreads bedrooms across 3 flors (including 2 master suites), which helps separate a large party so that everyone is not on top of each other. The house is very well equipped, Including 3 different types of coffeemakers. The appliances work well, and the furniture is sufficient and comfortable.
The host is absolutely outstanding! Highly responsive to any little glitches and always going the extra mile to make the guests’ stay extra special. Thank you!

Great space!
The house was beautiful and had plenty of space for multiple families with kids. Downstairs hangout area near the bunk room was perfect for the early risers and the bedrooms were all surprisingly very large and comfortable! We did notice the lack of pantry space and no easy area for all our snow gear. With a lot of people that was a bit tricky, but it certainly didn’t take away from us enjoying this home.

Great option for larger group
When we booked the house, we thought we would have 4 to 5 couples total coming for a quick ski trip in between Christmas & New Years. Unfortunately, several folks came down with Covid right before the trip, so there were only 6 of us in the house.
House is about a 5 minute drive to the ski resort. Which made it easier for us to set up drop off and pick up for those that wanted to ski. (Weather was def not optimal but some got in a few hours on one morning). There is also a trail right down the street that hooked up to other hiking trails, which was fun. If there was information in the house on the Wintergreen trail options, I missed it. Luckily, we found the info online after picking up some tourist information cards from the ski rental place.
We also had some issues finding the dang trash dumpsters. Admittedly, we decided to take the trash bags out to the dumpsters the second night - and because the area where the dumpster is is not well-lit, we had a tough time finding it. So if you go, go in the daytime.
There is parking for four cars, but because of a retaining wall between the road and driveway, it was a little tight getting cars in & out.
With these very minor comments, I will say that we enjoyed out stay very much. The house is amazingly well-equipped. All the appliances looked brand new. The view from the deck was breathtaking - esp at sunrise. And although our group was small, I am certain that had all our intended guests come, we still would have had tons of room.

Wonderful home that was perfect for our weekend trip with friends and family. The property owner was very responsive through text message when I had a couple minor questions. Very well stocked with necessities such as cookware, utensils, plates, cups, etc. I would certainly stay here again.

Amazing!
Beautiful home! Most well stocked rental we’ve ever stayed at! Every need was covered. Kitchen appliances and dishes, cooking supplies, games, firewood… Beds were super comfy with nice linens and towels. Plenty of room to spread out and have separate spaces for kids and adults to relax. Great location on the mountain. Easy access to hiking, fishing and breweries. Look forward to returning in ski season.

My bachelorette party stayed here at the end of June. Check-in was easy, the house is beautiful and the kitchen is fully stocked! Communication was easy via text - less so through VRBO. We loved our stay and highly recommend!

Big Beautiful house up in the mountains
The house is huge- perfect for large families. It has 2 living rooms, lots of beds and bathrooms, and ample kitchen space with pretty much anything you’d need. The locks on the doors are a little tricky to get used to, but other than that it’s a great space to get away to. If you don’t mind steep hikes there’s a great path to a waterfall nearby as well.

Wonderful stay
The property was beautiful, clean, and spacious with a perfect layout for our family group snow skiing trip. The location was great and just a short distance from the ski resort! The property manager was extremely accommodating, easily accessible, and responded promptly to any questions. Will absolutely stay there again next year!

Great House to get away and relax for the weekend! Despite the ice storm that threw a major wrench in our plans, the house was great. Owners very responsive - had service out salting the driveway etc. very shortly after we reached out. Very impressive

The Perfect Ski House
When we arrived everything was clean and prepared just as expected. The layout is perfect for family and kids. Kids can sleep upstairs and adults can sleep on main floor and in the basement. This house has plenty of accommodations to keep you entertained after hitting the slopes. We will stay here again!

Best house in Wintergreen!
We were so pleased with this home. It's extremely spacious, well stocked, comfortable and gorgeous views. The downstairs is fantastic with another large living room and gas logs. We had 2 families with 7 teenagers. Although we didn't use it, there is a regular grill and a blackstone grill. There were ample supplies for all of our cooking needs. There's also a sauna in the main bathroom that was great after a long day of skiing. The beds were very comfortable and we even noticed they had stocked an air matress...although I can't imagine you would need it. The property manager was extremely accomodating and very quick to respond with questions. We would definitely go back to this house.

Gorgeous Sunrises
Our family had a fabulous stay at this well equipped home. Even better than the description. From the second you walk in, you are wowed with the breathtaking views and the home's large living space. Tastefully decorated and comfortable, this home had everything we needed and felt more like a friend or family's home rather than a rental property. Very close to the ski slopes and other Wintergreen amenities. Our only complaint was that we couldn't stay longer! With all there is to do at Wintergreen, this house makes you want to stay in by the fire and enjoy the comfort and views!

Mountaintop Paradise
We have stayed in many vacation rentals all over the world and this house would definitely be in my top 3 if not #1. There was nothing that we needed that was not available to us. Location was awesome for our tubing and skiing trip. Large enough for 3-4 families to rent together and still have separation. Highly recommend this rental home!!!
