Recently renovated, like ours, the house next door is the oldest house in Bryn Mawr - about 300 years old. For those visiting Bryn Mawr Mainline Hospital, we are less than 100 yards from the hospital car park, which is separated from us by the renovated historic house. Straight across the street from us is the natural birth center. A playground with soft ground enclosed in cages and fences is a one-minute walk - next to a basketball court - turn right out of our car park and it is the next right. A Ferrari dealership is only a few minutes walk past the playground. Restaurants, coffee shops, takeaways, bars, shops, curiosity stores, luxury stores, dry cleaners, the center of town - all within a 2 to 5 minute walk through quiet pedestrian-friendly suburb streets around back of the property to Lancaster Avenue. Being from Dublin, Ireland, I have to recommend the Grog as a good Irish restaurant / sports bar, only a few minutes walk from the house to Lancaster Avenue. For Asian cuisine, Yanming is even closer - you can see it from the front of the house. For more refined dining and to really get the local, affluent Mainline feel, a stroll along Lancaster Avenue is a must. Small, old world shops abound. You can lose yourself in second hand luxury furniture stores, even across the road too like The Thrift Store. The surrounding properties are not approved for undergraduate student tenants, so our houses are quiet, but we are about 3/4 of a mile from Bryn Mawr College and a mile from both Haverford College and Villanova University.

Bryn Mawr Mainline train station is half a mile from the house, and there is also a second commuter trainline (Norristown High Speed Line) - its stop in Bryn Mawr is a 3 minute walk from the house.

You will find multiple parks in almost every direction you walk, public areas for playing sports and playgrounds for children.

While I could recommend the local parks like Austin, Rosemont, and Stoneleigh, the scenery pales in comparison to the nearby universities like Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Rosemont and Villanova, which are within walking distance.

Other universities are slightly further away such as Eastern and Cabrini (3 miles).

You can easily walk within five minutes to local trains (SEPTA / Regional / NHSL) that bring you to Philadelphia (10 miles) in about 20 minutes.

Many buses come through and you can hail an Uber in minutes as it's a well traveled college and commuter district.
We are within two or three miles of the intersections of multiple major highways.

Please remember that you're staying in a house, not a hotel. Please treat the space with respect. If any problems arise, we will do our best to take action ASAP, but there is no one living on site.

Noise level:
We use smart home technology to improve your experience. NoiseAware is a smart home device that measures volume levels throughout the property, and allows us to respond to noise nuisances without disrupting your stay. NoiseAware is privacy compliant and is required on this property.

Overall the stay was nice. The location of the property is near the trainline so it was easy to go into Philly to see the sights.

Cons: bedding wasn’t washed and was full of hair, shower was covered in pink and black mold and wasn’t cleaned, house furniture can best be described as dorm room meets roadside pickup, dryer has to be jammed with a broom to keep it closed, chairs in dining room feel like they are going to fall apart, dirty rug and futon in living room, place is picked up but needs a good scrub down and housekeeping either didn’t come or did bare minimum, noisy road, parking can be difficult, communication wasn’t great. The showerhead was broken causing us to use a bowl to scoop water over our heads and they didn’t have anyone to send until the evening before our check out. It was fixed the morning of our check out. Pros: large townhouse, good location, can’t hear neighbors

For my purposes (meeting a brand new granddaughter) this house was perfect. It was located less than a 5 minute drive from my son & daughter-in-law in Ardmore. We didn't receive the check in code until we arrived, but we got it soon thereafter. If I get picky - the shower head needs replacing but we were thrilled that there was a 1/2 bath that I somehow missed in the description when we rented the premises. The wall between units was covered with a foam rubber finish that's a little unique, but I didn't hear anybody else so the soundproofing nature of it works. Normally when we stay at a VRBO, we use the kitchen extensively, but we ate most of our meals with our son so we didn't get to work out the appliances here, but everything looked almost new. The dishwasher has obviously leaked in the past, and the bottom rack needs some attention (missing parts), but it worked for us. I can see us renting this location again in the future, though the price seems to vary extensively depending on the schedule of nearby universities and colleges. Bottom line - it was a pleasant stay and comfortable. Parking lot is tight when you drive a full sized pickup, but that was only for this trip and there is onsite parking for 2 vehicles for this unit. Everyone thought the beds were comfortable and everything was clean.

Close to everything but on noisy street. Oven has limited temperature options but was sufficient for us. Shower head needs replacing. TV has Netflix, Prime Video, and others.

Excellent little house in a lovely neighborhood. Parking was a bit tight for a 12 passenger van, but we worked it out. Good kitchen, great beds. Any slight hiccups were resolved with the owner quickly. Would certainly stay here again.

The property itself is great, but I had an awful time communicating with the property manager. They tried to get me to send a photo of myself holding my driver's license. I've never had that request before, and it wasn't disclosed as a requirement in the rental agreement. I pushed back and did not have to send my ID. That part seemed extremely sketchy, especially with how pushy the property manager was in attempting to get it.
