About this resort
This is a group of 6 cabins (with plans for 6 more) called "Village of Hope" that is part of a 58 acre private Christian camp in the Ozark Hills just outside of Ava, Missouri. THIS LISTING INCLUDES THE RENTAL OF ALL 6 CABINS!
The cabins are outside of Ava, Missouri in a very rural environment in the beautiful hills of the Ozark Mountains. They are about a 10-minute drive from Ava. Ava is a quaint, older town of around 2,500 residents with a charming collection of unique shops, cafes, and restaurants. The people in the area are extremely friendly and tourists are very welcome all over town.
The cabins are less than a 10-minute drive from entry into the gorgeous Mark Twain National Forest, which provides 1.5 million acres of beautiful land for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and exploring the beauty of God's creation. The cabins are also about a 1-hour drive from Branson, Missouri, which is world-famous for its live entertainment shows, particularly in terms of country music and Christian music.
THIS LISTING INCLUDES THE RENTAL OF ALL 6 CABINS! The rental also includes use of all of the following:
* the large meeting / conference center that is on the property
* the large kitchen and dining facility that is on-site
* the game room / exercise room on the property
* the property's large outdoor bonfire ring with outdoor chairs and a picnic table
* the property's outdoor basketball court
* the property's mostly-forested 58 acres for hiking and exploring
Thus, this group of 6 private cabins and additional facilities works great for family retreats, family reunions, church retreats / groups, youth retreats / groups, and even business retreats and business groups! We openly welcome groups and events, but we would ask that you discussion your plans with us before booking the property for a group or event to insure that the property is a good fit for what you are looking for.
Each of the cabins have been built since 2008 and they all have modern amenities including electricity, hot water, toilets, showers, WiFi, and both heating and air conditioning. Each of the cabins also have a microwave, small refrigerator, and a coffee pot.
The cabins are built with a cute and fun "hillbilly style" to provide guests with a comfortable, fun, and unique regional experience. They are truly a very cute, unique, and comfortable mix of "hillbilly style" with modern amenities! The cabins help tourists to get a real and authentic sense of the region and its "hillbilly heritage" while enjoying the peaceful and pristine beauty of the Ozarks!
Each of the cabins have their own unique style! Four of the cabins (#1 ,#5, #10, and #12) have bedrooms and the other two (#9 and #11) are "studio cabins". The bedroom in Cabin #5 is explicitly set-up for younger children. Each of the cabins have their own private bathroom with a toilet and a shower or bathtub / shower combination. Cabins #1 and #5 each have a combination bathtub / shower and the other 4 cabins (#9, #10, #11, and #12) have showers. Cabin #11 is explicitly set-up to be wheelchair accessible. (Please note that it is still necessary for guests in wheelchairs to travel approx. 250 feet from the parking area to the cabins.) All of the cabins have a small "kitchenette" in them that consists of a sink, mirror, countertop, and coffee maker. (There are no sinks and mirrors in the bathrooms.) Ground coffee and filters are provided as well! Each of the cabins also has a small dining table and 2 chairs.
The cabins are built on a beautiful hillside on part of the 58-acre grounds of Teen Harvest Youth Ranch, a Christian ministry for children, teens, and families. The cabins are used for family ministry, but are offered for rent on days when they are not in use for ministry. The rental of the cabins helps to financially support the wonderful ministry of Teen Harvest Youth Ranch. All of the cabins are filled with Christian artwork and Christian decorations. As the cabins are part of a Christian camp, neither smoking nor alcohol consumption is permitted anywhere on the property.

We loved using this property for our family reunion! The kitchen is shared with the hosts, but we enjoyed getting to know them, and we loved having the cozy cabins as our own space. Clean, friendly, lots of fun, and close to Ava city stores if needed. Will probably stay here again!

Something for everyone from toddler to teenager to young adults and grandma and grandpa.
Gracious host who were Flexible and Available! Cute cabins! Two large dining tables and chairs were set up in the gigantic kitchen that accommodated all 18 of us! There was something for everyone to do. We enjoyed the game room and playing foosball, pool, ping pong, and basketball shoot out as well as weight equipment. Petting the kitten, dogs, horse and cow, and the playground was entertained the younger ones and little Henry loved the little train! Plus the basketball court, barbecue grill and S’mores at the firepit were a hit and all included in the price. Can’t wait to come back!

Great spot for family reunion
Our family had a reunion here. It was great for everyone to be in one spot. Lots of places to break off and fellowship. Spots for kids to play. The hosts are kind and accommodating. Spiritually uplifting environment. Thank you!

Teen Haven was an ideal setting for our reunion of 33 people. Sunny days allowed for plenty of outdoor activity on the spacious lawn, and the various indoor venues offered space for conversation, meals, and togetherness. All at a price that was about one-third what we would have paid for a house in nearby Branson.

The property was very clean, beds were comfortable. Towels and linens were nice in great shape.
It is really important to know that the family lives in the main house, utilizes the main kitchen area, refrigerators, freezers, etc. and is home most of the time. You will need to clearly communicate prior to arrival your plans to use the kitchen space, meeting space, etc.
If you want exclusive property use this may not be the right venue for you. But the property is clean, individual cabins are nice, etc.
The location is nice and secluded and quiet, but also plenty of stores with in 15 minute drive. Would potentially rent again.

It was a great place. Cabins were clean and fit out students and leader well!
They had a great place for us to meet and lots of space outside with a fire place!
The owners who lived on the property were fantastic hosts.
The kitchen/dinning room was actually in the owners main house, which was a surprise, but I don’t think that should detour you from booking this place! They were great hosts and gave us plenty of freedom and help when we needed it!

This was a special find. We had a family reunion over the 4th of July with 25 adults and children. The owners (who live on property) were wonderful hosts. The cabin were true to their description, made to look "hillbilly" on the outside and pretty much brand new and modern on the inside. We had a wonderful time! I would recommend this place for any large family party, youth group or company retreat.

Don’t let the pictures disuade you - this place was great! Great common area (kitchen, game room, media room) with individual cabins to accommodate everyone. Was a perfect little oasis, tucked away in the woods for our family reunion.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed holding our family reunion here. The cabins are neatly tucked into the edge of the woods right next to a very large lawn that is perfect for playing games on. The firepit was a popular place for the adults to gather and talk while the kids played.
Paul and Linda were very kind and always available to help or answer questions.
