We really enjoyed our time here. Such a beautiful place! Incredibly well stocked and comfortable.

Wonderful, the outside temp was extreme for the area but opened & fans made it wonderful! Loved the cabin and the area!

Relaxing, magical, peaceful place.

This home is clean, beautiful, and well appointed and the setting is incredible serene. We enjoyed the hot tub with river views immensely. My kids loved the "tower" loft and chose to share that room together. We enjoyed the access to the river; for those wondering the home is situated on a rapid and is not safe for water play immediately in front of the home, but it is absolutely stunning. As other reviewers have mentioned, the beds are uncomfortable, which is the only thing holding this property back from 5 stars.

Loved the three private floors, architecturally well built jewel that is inviting and comfortable. Clean, well-stocked. Loved the tall counters and high sinks in the bathrooms, and the big deep sink in the kitchen. Nice touch that there was a one foot step and a two-foot step stool stocked for shorties. Tons of games and puzzles. Private oasis of a hot tub! Thanks for being pet friendly so our pooch could relax with us.

The perfect getaway! The whole family loved the cabin. Hot tub next to a roaring river surrounded by trees. Your own personal rock filled beach next to the river! It doesn’t get much better than this place!

Property is beautiful and quiet, we loved the house and would definitely stay again.

Just a perfect "cabin" on the Sandy. Hot tub on the river was awesome and super private, so was the fire pit. There house has all the amenities you could possibly want. Super clean and super comfortable. Can't wait to come back.

The house was clean and well stocked with useful items. The backyard was lovely including the hot tub.
Location was great.
Only negative was that both the mattresses were very uncomfortable. We tried both hoping at least one would provide a good nights sleep with no luck. As well as the pillows. An upgrade of these items would make this house wonderful.

Excellent accommodations. Loved the rustic charm, spaciousness and the working fireplace. Especially loved the hot tub overlooking the river and all the towels that were provided. Only negatives were the grill needs work as it doesn’t heat up and the cleaning people arrived before check out - which felt very rushed. Despite that - would stay again for sure.

Heavy rapids in the river make for the perfect ambiance. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils. The beds were uncomfortable. Everything else was perfect.

The property is well kept and has most of the amenities required. Heating and cooling is great and the gas fire place does the job. The outdoor area is okay. Would be best if it was organized and declutterred.

The cabin was wonderful. The layout is great for multiple activities. Reading, puzzling, playing games. The tree in the middle was a wonderful surprise. The hot tub with the beautiful view of the river made for a very relaxing time even in the rain. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

Clean, comfortable, and perfectly appointed for a family adventure. Kitchen had everything I needed to cook meals, hot tub views were amazing, and the pingpong and hammock were a hit with the kiddos.

We loved the view in the back of the Sandy River & Creek. There is a Stellar Blue Jay with her awesome nest & 4 eggs she tends to. You can watch it all from the the living room side window! The interior is clean and comfortable with games & a 3rd bedroom on the 3rd floor perfect for kids. Fireplace, hot tub and fire pit were all enjoyed and set against gorgeous and rugged terrain! The 2nd floor/bed and bath has a beautiful view from the deck. We did see Golden Eagles a couple of times!

Very cool cabin! Our teens loved the two upstairs rooms as their getaways, and there was plenty of space for us all (including dog). Everything seemed quite clean and comfortable. We made good use of the hot tub - worth it even if it's raining. Maybe especially then! Only about half an hour to drive up to Timberline, so a good location if you want to be near the mountain.

My family had a great time here! We loved the cozy cabin feel, loved the character of the stairs and kids bunk room was awesome! Hotub right on the river, and fireplace made it extra cozy! The beds are pretty hard and should be updated, with some padding.. We also had some trouble with the showers, they wouldn't drain and wouldn't go passed a certain temp...Contacted vacasa and never got replies. Besides that it was pretty nice! Some more detailed cleaning could be done... But overall we would LOVE to come back for summer. Only a short drive to the skibowl too and lots of stores and everything you need close by!

We really enjoyed our stay at the cabin. The hot tub was great for relaxing after a day of skiing. The cabin was stocked with everything we needed. Although we did think the checkout time 10AM was a little early.

Amazing

Lovely, well-stocked kitchen, nice living area with a cozy and comfortable vibe. Beautiful location next to the river. However, both the fireplace and the hot tub were out of commission due to a mix-up. (Vacasa did give us a small partial refund for the missing amenities, which was much appreciated.) Upon initial exploration of the house, I stepped in two wet spots on separate rugs, one in the living room and one in the downstairs bedroom. This is a shoes-off and dog-friendly home, so you can imagine my surprise (and dismay). I'm not sure if these were from the cleaning crew cleaning up spills (or worse) or if they were just left over from the previous visitors. The house did have a faint dog/perfume smell, and when we used the oven, it smelled like fish. The rooms are cozy and well decorated but the beds are incredibly hard. There is no TV in the living area, but there is a small one upstairs in the very top room. Despite the warning about being quiet as to not disturb the neighbors, they played loud music and hard a loose, very large dog running around that chased me back into the house after I stepped out onto the porch to take a call (from Vacasa!). The Bluetooth speaker system is a cool touch. Overall, nice home, small hiccups. We'd probably stay again, if we bring some mattress toppers--and a dog whistle!

Beautiful river views, close to hiking trails, lovely decorations, relaxing hot tub. Unfortunately, the fireplace wasn't working, the stovetop was not reliable, the carpet smelled bad, and at least one of the casserole dishes was covered with oil. I contacted Vacasa support at the beginning of my stay and no one followed up to address my concerns until I reached out again after my stay.

Amazing home right on the river, every part of the house has a special touch to it. Loved our stay here.

Fireplace was broken when we showed up. Said they’d fix it. Didn’t get a call about it until the last night we were there. Asked for at least a one day refund…nothing. The living room coffee table was also held up by a twig…literally.

The setting was so beautiful and relaxing. The house was super clean, well stocked and comfortable.

It was rainy for our trip so we were excited about the hot tub and fireplace, but when we arrived, the hot tub was cold and the fireplace didn’t work (no gas?)—very disappointing. Vacasa never answered our request re: the fireplace, but hot tub wax warm enough night two. Salt, sugar, and cooking oil were available, but beds were too firm, as others have said, and the dishwasher smelled as though the food trap hadn’t been cleaned in some time. A book with info about the neighborhood, history of the obviously lovingly-restored home, and instructions for things like the thermostat would be appreciated. Overall though, it’s a beautiful home in a beautiful place and we had a nice time.

One of the best places I've stayed on Mount Hood. Amazing property - the hot tub right on the river was my favorite feature!

Lovely home with many kitchen amenities and extras. The beautiful Sandy river is right out the back door. The hot tub at night is magical!

My husband and I stayed here for a week for our anniversary and overall it was a lovely stay.
Pros:
- The views of the river and trees
- The sound of the rushing river
- The backyard landscaping is gorgeous
- Comfort of the home
- Nicely updated bathrooms and lovely decor throughout
- Clean and well stocked (TONS of towels and lovely sheets!)
- Great little hot tub
- Easy parking and access to the property
Cons:
-The AC does "work-ish" as long as it isn't too hot outside (over 80 degrees). The owners may need to check the refrigerant because it doesn't really blow cool air it just blows. So don't stay here if it's supposed to hot.
-The mattresses are horrible. I knew this based on the reviews and brought a queen mattress topper from home!
-The BUGS! Be prepared to wear bug spray whenever outside. No matter what you will get bit multiple times.
-In the entryway there are these awesome tree decorations that SMELL horrible. Every time you either go into the entry way or stairway you can't escape the smell of rotting old trees.
- There are so lovely homes in the area but there is an abandoned large front loaders across the street that cheapen the overall esthetic.
- The floors have seen better days - it is obvious that this is a rental
- The location of the knobs on the kitchen cabinets, WHY? WHY are they placed in the middle of the cabinet causing you to bend over well past center to open them? At least change the knobs below the sink so you can throw trash away without throwing out your back! We were cursing those silly things the entire trip!
Mt Hood area: wasn't what I expected it to be. While the outdoor activities are superb I was expecting Mt Hood to be similar to Tahoe or Mammoth with nice shops and great restaurants. It didn't have either. The lunch options were subpar at best and there were no good shops to speak of. Also Mt Hood is not a dog friendly area. We had a difficult time finding restaurants that allowed dogs which is a shock since we are in Oregon! In order to find good restaurants we had to travel and hour to Hood River. Otherwise, hiking, biking, boating, and fishing are amazing here. Just be prepared for the horrid bug attacks during hot summer months. EW.

perfect cabin in the woods
such a cozy and comfortable stay. beautifully designed and cared for. code didn’t work for the checkin but vacasa was easy to get in touch with and luckily there was a lockbox. wish there were more kitchen essentials (coffee, tea, cooking oil) but other than that really amazing. hope to be back!!

Great little mountain getaway
This house was a great location for a quick trip to the mountain, particularly for anyone who enjoys fishing. It's right on the river with access & a great view from the hot tub! The kitchen was well stocked equipment-wise so we were able to prepare all of our meals without any difficulty. The house has some really cool features including the upstairs deck & back patio which both overlook the river. The house is very dog friendly & the downstairs bedroom has great light-blocking curtains allowing you to sleep in, however, the upstairs bedrooms both have skylights without covers so expect to wake with daylight if you don't bring a sleeping mask. The wi-fi connection was great & we were able to stream from all device easily, but there is no cell signal to speak of (not a big deal, since we came to get away from that really). Only downside was that the beds were pretty hard, but we are used to much softer mattresses so it may just be us. The rest of the linens & bedding were clean & warm with pleanty of extra blankets available in case you get chilly. Be advised some of the doors are difficult to close completely so double check them (the downstairs bedroom door doesn't latch at all). There aren't any exterior lights on the front of the house or any street lights so if you arrive after dark the house is a tad difficult to locate as our GPS cut out as soon as we turned into the lane/road the house is on. We really loved the house, the location, & that it was dog friendly. Will definitely be staying here again!

Stunning space, beds & cook range need improvement
The cabin is stunning, inside and out. View is fantastic, the rushing water sound is so lovely, and the cabin aesthetic is the perfect mix of rustic and modern. The beds were unfortunately hard and uncomfortable. Mattress toppers would go a long way. If you want to watch movies you have to sit on the trendel bed mattress on the floor upstairs. Not terrible, but not great either. The cook range was a challenge. The large front burner doesn’t work properly. We had to cook our breakfast on the small burners and it cooked everything unevenly. The stove worked great though, and the kitchen is well equipped with any cookware/utensils you’d need. The gas fireplace was also hit and miss. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn’t. It would be super helpful for guests to have some kind of book/binder with general info about the house- there was no welcome book with instructions for anything at all. No list of nearby hikes or restaurants, etc. We just had to make best guesses on how to use the fireplace, hot tub, etc… which was all pretty straightforward, but would still be nice to have that info. Despite these minor inconveniences, we had a wonderful stay. The fire pit and hot tub by the river can’t be beat and we really enjoyed every moment.
