nice beach, pretty clean water, although not far from the ferry terminal, big rooms, friendly stuff, not many people.
VERY expensive restaurant and all restaurants in the area, the prices surprised me, at the same time, hotel workers receive meager wages, there is a small shop that sells a liter of water for 4 US dollars, my advice to you, as soon as you arrive in Bintan, buy as much water and snacks as possible upon arrival, the Chinese restaurant on the water they add MSG to the food, keep this in mind, if you dont want to swell up the next day.

The resort was very clean, the beach pristine and the room large and air conditioned. Staff smiled a lot and were friendly and professional. Everything worked smoothly. Kelong Seafood restaurant and Deli Cafe are excellent!

still humid weather

We stayed at the Mayang Sari several times when we lived in Singapore around 25 years ago, so we were excited to go back this year. Had a slight concern that it might not be everything that we remembered, but we needn't have worried, it was wonderful and even better than we hoped. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, the accommodation was superb and very clean and the beach was beautiful. Although Mayang Sari is now part of the larger Nirwana resort, it still had a quiet intimate feel, but it was nice to be able to use the lovely pool at the main resort hotel, the seafood restaurant and the Calypso floating bar, where we drank cocktails and watched the incredible sunset. I hope we can go back again one day.

Beach was fantastic. Room was incredible. Service was perfect. Let them know of my wife's birthday and they had a cake for her. Perfect vacation.
No pool at Mayang Sari but able to use other properties' pool.

The resort is located at one of the best beaches in Bintan. Rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel has one restaurant that serves a decent variety of cuisine. Breakfast is decent including several made to order fare. The hotel accommodated both early check in and late checkout.
At the time of booking one gets the impression the other facilties like beach club, swimming pool are easily accessible, they are actually quite far off and can be reached only through a resort bus that goes round every half hour. Breakfast closes at 10 am that is a bit tight for a leisure resort. We missed on day 1, though the staff reluctantly provided a makeshift one.

staff are friendly and helpful
not enough restaurants to choose from

Really friendly staff and great location right on the beach! Options for food were also very good so will return.
4.5
Quiet if you are looking to be away from the crowd.
Should have more choices of restaurant for guest to select.

We like the weather and the beach. The staff were excellent.
Unfortunately the food at Spize was not good but there are other options around that are decent.

spacious quiet clean beautiful beach
lots of rubbish/ pollution in the sea

Stunning location overlooking the water. The individual chalets were extremely clean and very comfortable. The staff were wonderful and an assett to the hotel
The prices of food were comparatively high and being a long way from any shopping areas, you are compelled to eat on site.

Did not visit for more than 15 years. The room is definitely newer and nicer compared to the past.
Did not have shuttle to nearby town.

I did a short stop over for a weekend, in between business appointments in Singapore and Indonesia. Very convenient transport from SG by ferry boat, and further by hotel shuttle. Beautiful location (I had a chalet at beach front for 2 nights) with amazing view to the sea. Jet Ski and other activities available close by, at Nirvana beach club. Very clean and well maintained resort, with nice and fully equipped chalets. Very friendly staff at reception, room service, etc. Restaurant at the resort is very good, but not exceptional. Sea Food restaurant on the Nirvana resort complex (2 minutes shuttle bus) was amazing, very good food and a beautiful sunset behind distant Singapore skyline. Beach and sea was pretty much clean and nice for swimming, even if a lot of vessels passing the Straits of Singapore. No complaints, I spent a very relaxed weekend on the beach.
Nothing, the resort met my expectations and the description on booking.com

This is a very calming, tranquil resort and I loved it. The staff are warm, friendly and engaging and the rooms are large and have everything you need including tea and coffee making facilities and a small fridge. Having flown in from Europe and with a 3 day transit before travelling again this ticked all the boxes for me. The beach is clean and calm, the hammocks and day beds outside the room are perfectly placed and if you want more activity it is close by at nirwana gardens. I'll go back to Mayang Sari
4.5
Very nice beach right in front of the houses, very kind staff, spacious rooms that were very clean, fun beach activities
Some activities were a bit pricy (e.g. wakeboard), also the shop on the property was pricy (water costs the same like premium water in restaurant) and didn't stock a lot of things (e.g. sunscreen)

Powdery sand beach and very clean and well kept facilities.
Wifi connection is not stable. Kept dropping and when we tried relogging, it gave a error message that maximum limit reached

It's wonderful at Mayang Sari! The beach is one of the nicest ever seen, the bungalows are romantic, well equipped and spaceous.
The food was delicious and the staff very friendly.
It belongs to the Nirwana Gardens Resort so you may use their pool as well.
The resort is in the midle of nowehre so you don't have other food options.
Due to the reopening (covid) there wehre just a few number of guests and only one other restaurant in the resort was open.
4.5
The location of the property was beautiful. our chalet opened directly onto a beautiful sandy beach which we practically had to ourselves the whole weekend. The staff were so friendly and efficient. The property was very clean and comfortable.
It wasn’t a problem for us but the swimming pool and two restaurants are located in the adjacent hotel - reached by complimentary shuttle buggy. some people may have a problem with that.
2.5
Great location with natural beaches
Good service and polite staff
Food:
- Only Indonesian cuisine was authentic. The menu offered many other cuisine (Thai, Indian, Italian) options but none of them had the right taste. Most of the restaurants weren’t functional
- Couldn’t make a decent Latte even after paying for it at Spice Restaurant; Dino restaurant had decent coffee
- Definitely avoid if you are looking for vegetarian options
Activities:
- close by 4pm, and even swimming pool closes by 6pm due lack of lighting in the pool;
- many activities are non functional post COVID
4.5
Private clean beach right outside our room. Spacious room. Easy to move around with the free shuttle provided
