An excellent stay at Hotel Marfil Playa. The staff are professional and efficient, the hotel is maintained at high standards and it’s located very close to the beach, shops and restaurants.

Incredible hotel, set in the most ideal location! Loved every minute of the stay, the hotel was so clean and the staff couldn’t have done more for us! The staff have gone above and beyond for our family and young child!

Very friendly and helpful staff
Hotel pool (warm and slightly salty water)
Really good dinners, every day different
Lifts - just 2 for whole hotel, capacity not suffucient at all
Partly older room equipment, e.g. in bathroom (in the other hand, some investments visible)
Walls in a room quite soundprooved but not door - So, you can hear everything from the corridor
Picnic (take away) lunch quite poor

View from balcony, great choice of food at buffet, quiet area
The noise from rooms either side, was extremely noisy at night and also the banging of the bedroom doors

Very clean, modern hotel. Excellent location, 5 mins walk to the beach , promenade and a lovely walk by the sea through the woods, plenty of shops and places to eat/drink. Food at the hotel was exceptional. Massage by Egyptian guy working in the hotel - 10/10 !
Walls are paper thin

The beach at Sa Coma is gorgeous - white, soft sand and turquoise-coloured water. The hotel is very easy walking distance to the beach and our room's terrace overlooked the beach with a nice terrace. The pool area of the hotel is fabulous! The coach from Palma that goes to Sa Coma (401) takes 90 mins, is very cheap (only €5), comfortable, air-conditioned and the bust stop is only a few minutes walk from the hotel. Very convenient.
We were there out of season (early November) and whilst it was quiet and still amazing weather with full sun and around mid-20s celsius, most of the resort was shut so it was challenging to find places to eat. The type of restaurants they do have there looked like they mostly catered to British & German tourists.

The staff and general facilities were very good. Amazing value for money.
My son had an accident completely his fault not the hotels. The way the hotel managed the emergenchy could of been handled better everything was perfect until this point. My son split his head open, the lady at the bar was absolutley amazing a huge credit to the hotel however 1. I was not at any pointspoken to by any member of managment considering my son split his head open and lost a lot of blood I would expect management to appear but no. 2. a doctor was called out and not an ambulence which for the kind of emergency I would of thought it shouldnt of been that way, I was at no point explained the charges that I would occur but the hotel calling the doctor not something I agreed to but I guess the normal way for hotel and doctor to earn a bit of money from an emergency as if staff. The doctor arrived and explained I would need to pay 140 call out charge anyway even if he doesnt do anything my son is screaming blood is everywhere I am in no state to complain i just needed help then he said an extra 60 for the stiches. I am a resident in mallorca so could of just gone to the local hospitala nd got treated but would of still had to pay the 140 call out charge. I was then told no card cash only. After my son was treated I was then made to walk the streets late at night to find the nearest ATM to get the 200 out of the bank tha was not told before the doctor was called. Overall a lovely stay I just feel this could of ben handles with a LOT better. Huge thank you to the member of staff at the bar who helped me at a distressing time you were AMAZING x

Nice pool with plenty of sun beds available and decent cocktails.
If you don't buy the "all inclusive", you are treated as a second class guest.
The breakfast buffet had almost no vegetarian options, mostly all meat and the cereal and bread were always stale.
The tap water is not safe to drink, and we were not told, so we drank it before finding out and had to walk to the grocery store to buy ourselves some water to drink. The bar has a water tank but they will not let you fill your water bottle for free, which is ironic because they claim to be 'caring for the environment'. Refusing people water just encourages more people to buy plastic water bottles. You would think for the price of the stay, the least they could do is let you have some drinking water.
The lady at reception and cleaner was friendly, but the rest weren't very friendly. No kettle in the rooms and nowhere to get hot water.
For the price we paid, I would recommend staying at a hostel for
much cheaper.

great staff, good food and lovely clean facilities
rooms are connected so quite noisy
2.0
The location.
I checked before going to see if they did vegan food, they said yes. I checked again at reception on arrival, yes they said! They didn't do vegan food, disappointing. A big let down, plenty of meats dishes but overall not a good selection of food.
I also didn't like the room, the walls are paper thin, you get no privacy and can hear everything the people on either side are doing.

Location was great. Staff were all lovely and friendly.
Choice of food at all meals was severely lacking. Could not get own soft drinks during meals. No atmosphere at the hotel - was quite boring.
4.5
Location was perfect for my needs, staff were very friendly and helpful, the hotel and room were extremely clean and well presented. I didn’t get to fully explore the hotel but what I did see and facilities used were more than adequate.
0.5
Rude and aggressive staff. One man in particular seemed to dislike speaking to women. We ended up over-paying because of a mistake on our booking and their failure to deal with this reasonably ruined the first part of our holiday. Will never book with this company again. Intransigent and money-grabbing.
Reception staff oblivious to reason, even when Booking.com tried to intervene. They eventually compromised due to pressure from Booking.com but this was still massively biased in their favour. We ended up paying far more than the price they were advertising that day because we were with family so had no options.

Great stay in a 4 star hotel with a nice sea view, comfy, large rooms and good buffet food.
The pool was small and crowded. Nevertheless a great beach is just a couple of minutes away.

Location, sun loungers available all day. Great size pool.
A member of the reception team was rude on a number of occasions.
