酒店非常漂亮,大厅很有历史感
英国菜还是不行,据称这家餐厅很有名,但菜确实一般,餐厅服务员态度不怎么好

The room was lovely and the food was amazing.
Not being able to turn the glaring light off in the bathroom. Not having blackout curtains/blinds

Loved our room and its decor. The bed was very comfortable, so much so that I asked the receptionist only to find out that the mattress is made by Hypnos. I really enjoyed the way the whole hotel was designed and set out. The food was outstanding, I had the beef cheeks on my second night which really blew my taste buds.
I felt that that facilities within the hotel were quite limited. Maybe some kind of spa maybe something to consider in the future. Also the service charge should have been optional.

Very friendly staff and quiet location. Lobby and common area look pretty decent. Easy check in and out process.
Our room was small. The corridor leading to our small suite is quite dark. The bathroom window is facing to the path where everyone uses to enter the hall. Maybe it should be frosted?

Great location for exploring Northumberland. Lovely hotel with great decor style. Each area is different! Great food and drinks in the bar and great atmosphere. Really quiet in the rooms so slept well!
A few finishing details needed attention such as the kettle wire not reaching the plugs, the electric light switches that are a bit temperamental. Also parking was very busy so struggled to park, even in the overflow. Also no gluten free bread at breakfast, despite messaging the hotel before my stay to notify of dietary requirements.

Quirky decor and lovely atmosphere
Overall good, our room was hot during the night but we didn’t notice the thermostat on the radiator!

The location is great, the room rate was very reasonable and Sunday lunch was lovely
The room was far too hot and even when we turned the radiator off it was unbearable. We have the window open but it was still excessive. We later found a thermostat downstairs that was turned to 35 degrees!!
Our bedding looked nice but it had 2 holes in the wall, peeling wallpaper and the cleaners unplugged the tv and aerial to the tv on the second day and we couldn’t get it working again. They also unplugged the fridge that I was storing breast milk in so I had to throw it out.
The food on the Saturday night was shockingly bad, it sounded incredible on the menu but it was poorly executed and made with cheap ingredients. £25 for 2 chicken thighs that were overcooked and tasteless with sticky underdone gnocchi was frustrating. It was very overpriced for what it was. Thank god we decided against the £40 steak! Also, if you have an allergy they basically say they can’t guarantee to ensure that item won’t be in the food so I just had to accept I was going to few rotten the next day and try and order the food that would least likely have dairy in it.
We stayed for our first wedding anniversary and the food and hot room let us down.

The food at breakfast and the evening meal in the tempest restaurant was incredible. Beautifully decorated, peaceful location.
The room was slightly cold even when heating on. Bathroom had a smell of damp, possibly due to it being a wet room shower set up.

The decor is fabulous and staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. It is absolutely spotless and the bar restaurant are fantastic. The room we were is was gorgeous and a great size.
Everything was great but the wi-fi wasn’t the best and booking.com advertise they have a flat screen tv that allows streaming services which it doesn’t.

Stayed in a Tempus Junior Suite which I booked as part of a package which included evening meal and breakfast. The suite is situated in the new Tempus Hotel. The food was of high quality and well presented in an amazing setting. The suite was spotlessly clean, spacious, tastefully decorated and offering amazing views over the estate and countryside. Infact there are amazing views in every part of the estate. Reception area is very classy and welcoming.
All staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I have stayed at the Charlton Estate a couple of times now and I have booked again to stay in one of the cottages. This is what I love about this estate is that there are so many many different types of accommodation and is still expanding.
I highly recommend a stay. I stayed in November 2023.

We stayed in room 4 Farmhouse which was top floor. Bed comfy and the bar and restaurant were fab. Handy location for Alnwick. Staff all v friendly
Not a big issue, but the room we were in had sloped roof so felt a bit cramped, needed to duck to get in and out of bed on one side. Soundproofing could be better, soft close doors would be good

What a fabulous place to stay. Really friendly staff, wonderful food, spotless!
I would most definitely recommend. Dog friendly too! An amazing place for a wedding with plenty of rooms for your guests as well.
There was nothing I didn't like.

Beautiful location, great facilities. The place is stylish but still comfortable. Lovely hotel.
I arrived late as check in was supposed to be open until 23:30. When I got to the hotel at 22:30 the reception was closed, and I had to get staff from the bar to check me in. The bar manager was lovely and helpful, but naturally had to be talked through the check in process over the phone as it was not her job to do that. Once that was done, I was shown to the room that was nice and clean except for an opened can of drink on the bedside table and a bottom print on the bed where someone had been sitting. The room was otherwise clean, but somebody had clearly been enjoying a drink there between the cleaners being in and my arrival. It didn't ruin my stay, but was unexpected from a hotel of this standard.

The modern decor, friendly staff and dog friendly environment.
The coffee at breakfast.

Location was good and the ability to come and go as we liked was welcome as we were visiting friends. Car parking was plentiful and the reception staff were helpful.
The fruit salad was off on our first morning and no other fruit was available for the duration of our stay. The staff seemed stressed and every request was a big effort - the first morning they forgot to take our order for a cooked breakfast and then blamed us. The lights in our room didn't work - some came on, some went off but not according to the instructions on the switches. The room was cold when we arrived (16 degrees) and there was no herbal tea bags or water available in our room.

Stunning location, although very remote. We had two rooms in the tempus building, one was very bright & quirky, the other, completely different. Shower & bath were perfect.
Comfortable bed and pillows.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and nice and made to order.
Check in!!
After a 5 & 1/2 hour journey, we arrived around 2.30, the last thing we wanted to be told was, check in isn’t until 3pm, go for a walk around and come back.
Returned to reception at 3pm to be told one room was ready, the other one wasn’t!!! Got the keys for the second room around 3.25, not impressed with this. The blonde girl on reception wasn’t particularly friendly, her reason was it was a full turn around on changing the rooms and they were short staffed…..how is this our problem???
We also tried to book to go in the restaurant, but were told it was full. We were sitting in the bar/ restaurant area at around 7pm when we tried to book a table and lo and behold, lots of empty tables?!

Clean, well decorated and comfy room. Lovely breakfast and friendly staff.
Tv in our room had 0 channels and the heating in the room didn’t work.

Great location. Spectacular views. Main house full of character. Beautiful restaurant with superb decor and Good food.
Room was very nice in main house but a bit to much going on in decor and I would say not a relaxing ambiance. A brighter room would of been better. Breakfast a bit of a mish mash with things not being put out and item missing from my plate but otherwise good. Signage in grounds not in right place but soon found our way around

The breakfast was outstanding. I had Egg Royale which was without doubt the best I have ever tasted. The breakfast alone made my visit worthwhile to this wonderful establishment. Eat your hearts out down South!
Can't think of anything detrimental.

Superb furnishings to a very high standard throughout the hotel. As we had a dog, the room had a fenced off area to exercise. A fantastic rural location with plenty of walks in the area.
The dining experience was disappointing in the evening where the menu was average but the costs of the meals and drinks were to my mind excessive. Had dinner in the restaurant on the first night but made other arrangements for the rest of our stay.
