About this house rental

Large 3 story home, wooded yard with mountain feel, and a beautiful view of Jackson Lake. Three decks to lounge on and enjoy the scenery!
The upstairs has 2 master bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. One master with a king bed, full bathroom, and garden tub. The second master with a queen bed and full bathroom.
Enter the main level of the home through the wrap-around front porch into a large living room with an electric reclining sectional sofa and recliner chair that comfortably seats 8, a big screen TV over a stone gas fireplace, and cathedral ceilings. Connected to the living room is the large kitchen with double ovens, granite countertops, a dishwasher, and a small table that seats 4. Adjacent to the living room and kitchen is the dining room with a large table that seats 10. The kitchen and dining room have lake views and access to the upper back deck. Also on this level is a queen size bedroom with deck access, a full bathroom and a laundry area with a washer and dryer.
The bottom level of the house has another large living room with a stone gas fireplace, a big-screen TV, a large table for playing games or crafting, two bedrooms with queen beds, a bonus room with a twin and trundle bed, and a half bathroom. Walk out the back onto another deck with a bar, small refrigerator, firepit, and plenty of seating.

Note: We do not have a dock but you can easily launch a kayak, canoe or paddle boat.

We traveled from Minnesota and met our family who traveled from Florida for a Thanksgiving celebration. Our expectation of a comfortable place for the ten of us to prepare food and rest after exploring Georgia state parks was thoroughly fulfilled. One of the greatest components of the house is the dining room table where our whole family could gather together for meals. Everything we looked for to have a family gathering was fulfilled in this house. Scott is a very special host who was available and willing to answer any of our needs. Thank you Scott!!!

Usefulness

Property was not clean, shower downstairs was unusable which was a problem with 12 people in the house and the decks which were such a great part of the house had to be cleaned by us before we could even use them. We feel like the cleaning deposit should be returned to us, but the property manager won’t get back to me. It’s such a shame because this house is beautiful and has everything, it’s a little farther away from towns than we thought but the trade off for the location was worth it.

Our family Thanksgiving celebration was all the better because of our stay here at Lake Jackson. The home is designed to handle a crowd even when watching a movie. The kitchen had everything we needed… basic supplies and plenty of storage containers. The neighborhood did not lend itself to long walks but we enjoyed the outdoor areas of the home. The owner responded quickly to any questions we had. A totally delightful stay!

This was a beautiful spot and beautiful house for our staff gathering. The drive and property is a bit steep but once settled in all was well. Plenty of beds, multiple gathering rooms, nice decks with a firepit and view of the lake. We ended up with one staffer on crutches so the stairs were a bit tough on her but otherwise it was a very nice venue for our outing.

This place is nestled in a beautiful area of Jackson Lake. The house was very spacious, clean and the deck spaces out front and back were perfect to soak in all the natural and peaceful surroundings. The house was fully stocked, the beds very cozy and both fireplaces came in very handy. Mr. Marts and his wife were very responsive and highly recommended staying here if you are looking a great location right by the lake.

i had booked this home for 8 days at the last minute upon word from a local hospice that my mother had taken a turn of decline and would not be with us much longer, coming then to the area for an anticipated death and funeral. i had needed a large home to accommodate my three adult children and two of their partners, first arriving to the home alone until she passed, then them joining me pending the funeral and after. the home was positively wonderful in every way for what we needed it to be. it was clean, quiet, large. we had space to be with each other or not. the view of the lake was wonderful, frequently seeing deer both in the morning and in the evening in the back yard along its shore. the kitchen is large and well equipped. the master bathroom has a wonderful tub for long soaking. the showers have great water pressure for satisfying hot showers. there are lots of places to relax and sit in this home, both in groups or alone. the home is pleasantly decorated. the beds are all comfortable. i will remember many things about this home after we leave, but likely the most noted will be the calming peace felt in the home and both tangible and intangible comfort to my me and my family, added to by the many birds visiting the deck area--particularly cardinals! i am grateful to the owners for fast response in a last minute effort to book, and receptiveness to any questions. we would definitely want to stay in this home again should such a situation return again requiring all of us to return to the area.

We had a great time. The house is beautiful! The kids loved the downstairs area and only had to come up for food/drinks! There was more than enough room for everyone. We look forward to going back soon! Scott was also awesome! Thanks for sharing your home with us!
