Wonderful Hotel - TOP MARKS!
My wife and I have just enjoyed an amzing week at this lovely hotel. Set right by Lake Garda with gorgeous uninterrupted views from almost every room the location is perfect. A few minutes walk into the centre of Salo along a purpose built lakeside path and you are at the ferry station. The town has all the amenities you could hope for on a holiday with lots of shops, cafe’s and comfortable spots to sit and watch the world go by. My wife and I stayed at Hotel Salo Du Parc for a week to include breakfast and evening meal. Both provided an excellent array of food. Full English and loads of continental options for breakfast and a 4 course menu every night for evening dinner. I have to say I’ve stayed at many hotels with these options but the food here is top class. No repeats on the dinner, everything beautifully cooked and presented and delivered by a fantastic crew who work tirelessly to look after their guests. Our room (410) at the furthest corner was kept spotlessly clean with fresh towels daily.
I asked my wife on our last day what she might suggest to improve things. It took a few minutes before either of us could come up with anything and the only item we missed was a bath! However, the walk in shower was lovely. Maybe a clear communication that the water served at dinner was at cost (€4)?

Location is a walking distance to the center.
You have an option to swim in the pool or the lake.
The restaurant is good.
The staff are amazing
The car park is a bit too tight for a medium car, because we got at the side end of the car park.

Room was good size and very nice. Great view of the lake. Lovely pool and very well kept gardens nice dining area. Close to lots of restaurants and shopping easy walking distance. Bathroom was very nice.
Had to have the kettle in the floor because the lead wasn’t long enough to reach the table.

I had made a booking for dinner, weeks before our arrival, for the first night for 7.30 pm but was told that as the restaurant was busy we could not have a table until 8.45. I was also told I had not specified a time for the restaurant which was not true. I therefore cancelled the restaurant booking.

Limited a la carte menu
Needed better tea/coffee facilities in the room. Very limited quantities of each and only tiny pot of milk. We ended up buying from a shop.

good rooms vry nice look over the lake
difficult to arrive with gps s(at least my one) staff was kind but not very clever on the phone explaining the way to get there
limited parking (at a cost) in their own car park which was full so we had to put the car in he next door public car park for 95 euros for 2 days. (2,50 per hour)
This possibilitu it is not clearlyenough specified in the initial booking sheet where it says simply''parking''. They could at least negotiate a reduced rate with the public car park in their own one if full no towels available in the swimming pool

extra 18 euros for parking per day, extra for ironing, room service etc

Breakfast was excellent good range of cold meats, cheese and fruit and yoghurt. Didn’t try cooked breakfast and I don’t eat cakes or bread.
The location is excellent, we loved the quiet charm of Salo. Not too busy nor too touristy.
The view of the hotel from a boat is ugly but from inside the hotel the views are wonderful. The rooms are a good size and so light and airy and the garden and pool is lovely.

We chose this hotel with no previous experience of the hotel or resort, we could not believe our luck when we arrived and found how fantastic the hotel and staff were, the location is perfect, right on the lake front, the views were incredible, the pool and grounds were lovely. I could not have wished for a more relaxing holiday and I can't wait to go back. Salo was a short walk away with loads of quality shops and restaurants. A fantastic week
Parking outside the hotel was limited and we had to park in the carpark across the road (at 14 Euros per night). If you want to park outside the hotel I would request well in advance but this is also chargeable

Great location. Very happy helpful staff. Good breakfast selection, great outdoors seating area. Comfortable bed.
Better soundproofing as you can hear people quite loudly in adjacent rooms.

Breakfast, room and grounds all great
Close to Boardwalk, although staff did not tell us which caused problems the first afternoon
Female Staff did not explain how close the walk was to the boardwalk, stores and restaurants. So we tried to drive which was difficult Other staff helpful
Showerleaked so much that floor was wet
Would not provide extra pillows nor blankets

Wonderful selection of breakfast items from fresh fruit, cheeses and cold meats to cooked breakfast, wonderful fresh breads and pastries and omelettes and cappuccinos. Great location just 5mins walk out of old town. Absolute lake-front with lovely sun-lounging lawn enjoying the lake views, ladder in/out of lake and diving platform, plus lovely clean swimming pool. Nice size room with great lake views from balcony. Decent buffet-style breakfast. All very clean

Great location - right on the edge of the lake. Just out of Salo but could walk into the town in a minute! The two rooms we booked were on the same floor and really spacious and exceptionally clean. The hotel had a pool which was great but you could also jump off the pontoon into the Lake. The staff were so helpful and friendly, especially in the evening around the bar. They catered well for us, providing gluten free options for breakfast.
The breakfast wasn't great and the pastries were dry and there wasn't much of a choice in terms of hot options, but it was sufficient.

We had a suite which was enormous. All rooms have a beautiful view of the lake. The hotel is in a quiet spot a short flat stroll into the lovely old town. The hotel has beautiful well tended gardens down to the lake and a good swimming pool.
You can only have the set menu in the restaurant if you book a half board package. Otherwise it is a la carte and expensive. There were no dressing gowns the room.

Locked private car park opposite hotel, lovely room (101) on first floor huge balcony overlooking lake and hotel gardens & pool. Breakfast very good - waiting staff excellent, remembered individual preferences, good selection. hot & cold buffet. Bar well attended, snacks and lunch good. Fabulous location - 10 minute walk to centre of Salò - nice town well served by inexpensive Garda ferries, nice bars and restaurants. Very restful stay.
Hotel management not overly welcoming especially at dinner service which was very stilted nor able to make small menu changes without supposedly consultation with the chef. Food very similar each night, not great choice, lot of fried chicken balls and fried fish, but mostly pasta which was tasteless and far too thick. Again normal waiting staff very good. Overall all dishes significantly under-seasoned and absence of sauce as an accompaniment.

The location was perfect. Just a short five minute walk to the promenade. There were many shops and restaurants within walking distance. A great museum was a 10 minute walk. The ferry was also within a 10 minute walk. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. I believe they all have a balcony so you can sit outside and look at the beautiful view. A big swimming pool and plenty of lounge chairs with easy access to the lake if you would rather swim there. The breakfast was very nice with plenty of variety including fresh fruit. The wait staff was exceptional; friendly and polite. We had dinner there a couple of times and enjoyed it very much. I plan to revisit Salo and would stay here again. Thank you for helping to make our stay in Salo so enjoyable.
Can't think of a thing I didn't like. Maybe it was too hot but that wasn't the hotel's fault and they had great air conditioning.
