I was looking for a good place to stay, close to Spring City boat ramp, for a fishing tournament. This house was a short 12 minute drive to the ramp. House was just as described. Did not use the dock at all as I drove to the ramp every day. Communication with the owner was good and they were very responsive. The only issue I had was with silverware and we just picked up some plastic ware at the dollar store that was five minutes from the house.
Will definitely book again when I am looking to stay in that area again.

Upon our first day this property seemed perfect for our needs. The house is older and does need some updates but this was shown in the pictures so we weren’t surprised. However, on the second day, along with advice from a neighbor of the property we were shown an electrical safety issue involving the dock. This was extremely concerning as we knew of another family years ago that this type of electrical concern caused the death of 2 children. I was able to contact the property manager after speaking with both the local TVA and the local power provider. The managing agent was helpful. We were told we would receive a full refund and we would need to pack up and leave. I was never sure which was the booking, which was the management company. This was confusing to me. Upon believing I was in contact with VRBO (messaging through VRBO) I wasn’t given any further info about my refund even though I had asked multiple times. Then I received a message stating I was to only contact VRBO because my question had become critical by asking the same question several times. It is now over 1 week later. I have yet to receive my refund nor been contacted by the VRBO agent that I spoke to through the help line. My family is out a vacation ( we only stayed 1 night) and so far out the money. Even though we were told by “Uncle Roger” the management company and through a text message that we would receive a full refund. We have never used VRBO and I do not plan to use again. Thankfully my family wasn’t hurt and we are blessed to be able to say that. I do not believe it is too much to ask to have a timely refund.

We rented this house for a 3 day fishing tournament. It was only an 18 mile drive to the landing on Chickamauga. The house has a large garage with power to store your boat overnight. It even had a drop cord available for us to charge our boat. The only downside to the house is you have to take your trash with you or drop it off at a convenience store. There is no curbside service. Not a deal breaker just didn’t plan to take our trash back home with us. We will definitely rent this house again when we return to Chickamauga or Watts.
