Myself, my neice, my mother drove up and met my Aunt from Kingsport that we had not seen in several years. The four of us enjoyed resting, relaxing and just catching up . The neighborhood was exceptionally quiet, yet beautiful.. we had some slow rain showers, but it did not dampen our spirits as we loved the big porch with rocking chairs. We would definitely recommend this cabin with a very responsive host.

Overall pretty nice. There were a lot of spider webs on porch and when we opened the windows , on the sills.

The cabin was beautiful and very cozy. Two master suites.

Our family spent Thanksgiving holiday at Storybook. It was amazing. Everything was clean and spacious and just beautiful…on the inside as well as the outside. We will definitely use this cabin in the future.

Our stay at timber rock was amazing. It gave the cabin vibe we were looking for. Very updated and well kept. We stayed 4 nights. Lisette was very communicative and fast to fix a problem we encountered during the first night. Stellar service. We would recommend this cabin for people looking for privacy/quiet after hiking the beautiful mountains. Thank you for a fabulous stay!!!

Beautiful cabin in the woods surrounded by abundant wildlife.

Wonderful stay , very clean house!! The drive way needs more gravel, seems to be washed some. Over all like bed it

The cabin is well appointed and beautiful inside. Very mountainy in feel, like a cabin should be but beautifully decorated. Not far from the slopes and downtown Beech. Lots of wildlife…deer everywhere. Quiet neighborhood. Get place to get away from the heat of the flatland and foothills and just relax in the cool temps of the mountains!

Simple and quaint, we loved the property but the real gem is the owner who weren’t out of her way to make sure we were taken care of. She was very communicative and responsive and the cabin and her warmth as a host made all the difference.

Loved the layout of this cabin, it was so inviting and cozy. The kids loved having the upper half of the cabin to themselves. Definitely would consider renting again.

Away from it all, but close to all you need to fill your day.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at this beautiful cabin and it was truly a 5-star experience! The cabin was extremely clean, has a fully stocked kitchen with new appliances, and loved the modern mountain décor throughout the home! The family room had plenty of seating and the couch was so comfortable, we would take all our naps there! Beds were also very comfortable and the jacuzzi in the master bath was awesome after our long days of hiking! We had all the comforts of home! The location was perfect - secluded enough to provide a peaceful retreat, but minutes from town for convenience. Lissette (host) was incredibly friendly and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed and providing helpful recommendations for local activities and restaurants. The cabin’s surrounding creeks were stunning and we enjoyed relaxing on the deck and taking in the scenery. Last but certainly not least, deer surrounded the property daily and approaching you for a great photo opportunity - my kids could not get enough. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a memorable mountain vacation experience with family or friends! Thank you for a wonderful stay!

My wife and I just stayed at this cabin in Beech Mountain and had a fantastic experience! The communication was great, and Lissette was very responsive to any questions we had. The property itself was immaculate, well-maintained, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect, close to many attractions, restaurants (check out Stonewalls only about 15 minutes away), and shops.
One of the things I loved most about this property was the attention to detail. From the cozy decor to the comfortable bedding and towels, everything was top-notch. The kitchen was fully equipped with all the necessary appliances and utensils, and I loved being able to cook my own meals when needed.
Overall, I highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a comfortable, clean, and convenient place to stay. I will definitely book this property again in the future. Thank you, Lissette!

We are a regular Beech Mountain travelers and would rate lissette’s cabin as one of the most beautiful, peaceful, welcoming and cleanest cabins in the area. It’s minutes away from the ski resort (you don’t have time to put your seat belt on) and a real value compared to other places we have stayed. The cabin has new modern appliances and large leather couch (that certainly smelled & looked new)! Overall, for a traditional mountain cabin, it is very trendy in style and layout. We enjoyed sitting in the large swing up front, soaking in the indoor jacuzzi tub and afternoon board games wood burning fire! The cabin is located in a peaceful neighborhood in a storybook setting; thus I’m sure, where the name of the cabin came from! Communication was EXCELLENT too. We would highly recommend this wonderful cabin in heaven!

We will be back!
My family and I spent a few days skiing and could not imagine having stayed anywhere else! The cabin is located in a very peaceful street surrounded by creeks and waterfalls just minutes from Beech Mountain Ski Resort and local restaurants. We have a baby and a toddler so being in the heart of everything was important to us. We also felt safe with them playing on the floor because the cabin was extremely clean and free of clutter. We’ve stayed in many rentals that were dirty and dusty! The cabin has an open concept with a wood burning fireplace in the heart of the home which made our time there special. The decor is really modern too, furniture comfy and very cozy. It had all the amenities you’d find at home. Overall, it was an unforgettable stay! Thank you Lissette, you were wonderful!

When we first arrived to the property, we were amazed with all the scenery and privacy we had. The cabin included everything we needed to ensure we were comfortable. The kids were able to sled on the hill beside the cabin on the first two days since there was fresh snow and had a blast! We saw several families of deer and even got to hand feed them! We were so close to everything we needed and the handbook with food/activities definitely came in handy. Thank you for sharing your cabin with my family of 6.

Perfect mountain cabin. We had a nice snow shower and we’re able to sled down the hill on the property. Cabin was clean and very accommodating. There is a pretty large waterfall down the road the cabin is on and the entrance to the neighborhood is literally across the street from the ski resort so it was perfect for my snowboarding trip. Can’t wait to stay again.

We are regular Beech Mountain travelers & found this cabin last minute as they just had a cancellation. We are so lucky we found this place! The cabin is hands down, one of the most beautiful on the mountain. The cabin is located in the heart of Beech just a mile of the ski resort and in walking distance of the club! It is extremely clean, has new appliances and smart tvs throughout the home. Beds are comfortable, home is spacious and has that “Hallmark” unique charm Beech is well known for. The cabin has everything we needed to feel at home and we enjoyed sledding on site down the driveway, s’mores by the fire pit and deer surrounded the area at all times of the day. Truly the storybook experience described in the reviews. Lissette was a wonderful host even answering our call on the first ring at 10 at night when we couldn’t figure out how to get cable tv. We will be back next year!

Was everything great. We loved to stay there for Christmas.

The location was nice but that’s all I can say. The cabin was dirty, dusty and had a leak. The couch was filthy and torn.

Our stay here was amazing! The view off the front porch was beautiful, the drive up and down the mountain was breathtaking, and there was so much to do around the area!! Lissette was even kind and patient enough to be in quick response to any question I had even months before our vacation! Would highly recommend this place for a fantastic vacation!

We enjoyed our weekend in the mountains as a family. The cabin was very dusty. The walls, fans, and decor needed a very good deep cleaning. We enjoyed seeing several deer in the yard.

Fantastic!
Such a fantastic cabin in such a beautiful area! We loved it! 4wd very helpful, probably required for the driveway. Deer out back and front on our very first morning! Quick drive to restaurants and ski resort!! Owner was amazing!!

Host was very responsive before/during our trip. We all enjoyed the cottage & everything it had to offer. We saw deer daily.
Pros: Close to hiking trails & a fishing pond. Clean, cozy cottage. About 20-30 minutes from 2 wineries. The cottage has the extras you may need, spices, baggies, kitchen utensils etc. No grill, so we brought an electric one.
Cons: You have to pay extra $ to use the tennis courts, pool and Beech Mnt. golf course, which was not noted in the description. No grill.
** I would absolutely stay there again.

My family and myself had the most enjoyable time on our weekend visit to the mountains. The cabin was exactly what we were looking for. There were 7 of us and we each had plenty of space. It was very warm and cozy and we didn’t really want to leave to go out. Checking in and out was a breeze the cabin was very clean. We are already talking about our next trip and staying here. It really is a beautiful place and we made memories of a lifetime that we will never forget.

Great Host!
We had an excellent stay! The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. It snowed the first night we were there and the roads are no joke. If you are going in the winter, next time we will bring snow chains just in case!

The house was just as described online and is just a two minute drive to the front door of Ski Beech. The property owner is awesome and communicates with you directly. Believe the description when it says don’t attempt the driveway without 4 WD. We arrived in the middle of a winter storm and I was concerned we would get stuck and snowed in. Not only did the property manager get her own “guy” to plow the drive but the neighborhood was plowed twice the next day. We were able to get around just fine. As far as the house goes it was amazing we sat by the fire and played family games, showers were great and beds were very comfortable.

WE SURVIVED THE WINTER STORM 2022
Our cabin was like home! We had everything we needed! On Saturday night the snow was coming so we prepared during the day while the others enjoyed their second day of skiing! Sooo Sunday we had a foot of snow!!! We slede all day , built a snowman , throwed snowballs🥶❄️The cabin was cozy and warm and very charming! Only thing the driveway is tricky but with a total of 18inches everything was tricky ⛷⛷❄️🥶Great place to stay!!!
