About this house rental
Experience Priest Lake, Idaho in style at Autumn’s Lodge located in “downtown” Priest Lake. Previously ran as Autumn’s Loft art gallery, you can still purchase Autumn's exquisite scenic photographic metals straight off the walls. Walk a half mile to food, gas, hardware, nail salon, gym, and the award winning Priest Lake Golf Course. Enjoy pulling your snowmobile straight up to the front porch of Autumn's Lodge after accessing over 350 miles of groomed trails. Relax in front of the massive stone fireplace while reading one of the many locally written books about the area. Slip on your snowshoes or cross-country skis to enjoy the groomed trails across the road at the Priest Lake Memory Garden and Priest Lake Golf Course. In the summer, ride your bike 3 miles to Hill’s Resort and treat your family (or yourself) to an iced huckleberry bucket drink while the kid’s jump off the dock! Then walk north, up the beach to the Priest Lake Museum! Autumn's Lodge is full of history books for you to enjoy as well as a special Nell Shipman balcony. Step back in time and learn what and who shaped the lake!
Autumn's Note:
"I don't have just one favorite room... they all are! I hope you enjoy my local photography adorning the walls of the lodge and be inspired to get out into nature and experience our land like I have, growing up huckleberry picking, crick fishing, and hiking!"
The lineup...
MAIN FLOOR (Sleeps 6 Adults & 1/2 Kids on Futon):
Front Bedroom - One Queen Bed (Sleeps 2 Adults) and One Small Futon (Perfect for One Adult or Two Kids!)
Back Bedroom - Two Twin Beds (Sleeps 2 Individual Adults).
Great Room - I'd rather be photographing our local wildlife, but in 2012 we hung an award winning elk and a few years later my dad's elk mount. While transitioning from my art gallery to a lodge feel in 2021, we hung "The Griz"... my dad's super moose hide that looks like a grizzly bear! The Great Room has a smart TV for chilling on Netflix, YouTube, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, etc. The leather couch pulls out to a queen bed (sleeps 2 adults).
Full Kitchen - Small but equipped with EVERYTHING... from coffee, tea, sugar, olive oil, salt & pepper, set of spices, ice maker, refrigerator, toaster, microwave, gas oven & stove top, garbage disposal and dishwasher. Or BBQ with the provided propane on the grill outside.
Bathroom - Pedestal sink & toilet. Mirror, shelf, towel bar, TP holder, all made by dad on his Oscar's Tree Farm! He handmade all the doors in Autumn's Lodge as well!
Washer/Dryer Closet Area
Rustic Dining Nook - Yep my dad made this too!
Office Area - Connect to our very high speed internet and work while on vacation, or stream your favorite movie on multiple devices! Turn on Spotify and chill out to your fave music. The office area has large desk countertops for your laptop and monitors or use the guest computer. Comfortable office chair as well!
UPSTAIRS (Sleeps 4 Adults and 2 Kids):
Master Bedroom - One King Bed, Reading Area, Smart TV, USB Plugin Chargers In Side Tables. My favorite thing about this room... you can watch the shooting stars from bed!
Master Closet - Vanity Desk & Mirror, Infant's Pac & Play
Master Bathroom - Full bathroom with shower & tub, towels, coconut shampoo/conditioner/body wash/soap/lotion.
Kids’ Bunk Bedroom - One Twin Bunk Bed and One Little Kid's Log Bunk (For Ages 2-5).
Library - Full of local history books and local authors, as well as the Priest Lake Visitor's Guide, Priest Lake Chamber of Commerce "This Week at the Lake" flyer, Current Year's Fishing Guide, kid's books and toys.
Nell Shipman Balcony - Enjoy learning about our local 1920s heroine, Nell Shipman! Silent screen actress as well as writer, director, producer, and animal activist... enjoy reading my write ups on this adventurous lady!
Outside:
Enjoy my mom's flower garden and dry rock creek. The purple "Louis' Iris" flowers have been passed around in our family for years! Photograph Monarch butterflies on the Coneflowers during summer as they arrive from down south. From the front porch watch Rufous hummingbirds as they come back each May, as well as visiting deer, birds, and the snowshoe hare rabbits that live under the garden shed. They turn white in the winter! Start an outdoor fire in the evening with S'Mores for the kids! Add on to your stay with a private art class for your party, or a mini family photo session! Choose from fused glass garden art/lightcatchers with local artist Randy Haa, watercolors with Gaye Oscarson, ink on tile with Autumn Kennedy, or acrylic on wood.
I hope you love my lodge as much as I have enjoyed putting all the details together for you! I pray you find peace, relaxation, and inspiration while being our guest! -Autumn

Totally easy all the way through. Easy communication. Easy to check in. Super fun and unique place. Great family room and main area to hang out in. As you have probably already seen, it is an art-centered cabin. Lots of gorgeous art all around the cabin and fun historical tidbits.
Everything was exactly as advertised. Great location, easy to find. Stocked with everything you could need on a lake vacation. There was even wood out by the fire pit. It was our family of seven and another family of three and we all had ample space and beds.
Nothing but good things to say. Would definitely stay there.

Worked great for my friends and family as there was lots of room to park our trucks and trailers for 4 wheeling. The home was very clean, well put together, and owner was very accomodating! Will stay there again.

The building has hand crafted beams with interesting one of a kind details. Reclaimed barn wood sheeting, an old door hanging up high on a wall, and old metal relics are some of the craft styled details. I enjoyed looking at the building and the fireplace!

We rented this lodge for our family vacation. It was great that everyone had their own beds. It was such a great place that we found ourselves wanting to stay inside but we did venture outside to enjoy the fire pit and walked down to the school to let kids play before walking to the store for ice cream….

We loved the location of Autumn’s Lodge being close to the golf course, shopping and some great places to eat. We spent a lot of time in Coolin which is a very short drive away. The architecture of the Lodge is gorgeous, with plenty of room for several people. A little too warm for a fire this trip, but the outdoor fire pit is welcoming, as is the big front porch.

Overall it is a great cabin. Very nice aesthetics and there is artwork for sale in the cabin. Nice firepit area with many chairs. Large parking area with easy access. There are cameras everywhere outside and it can feel like your being watched. We received a few messages from the host while we were there. When someone rents a cabin, one of the desired features of a cabin is usually solitude and privacy. This cabin is not secluded nor is it private.

We came to play hard and we did. Awesome activities at the lake and the surrounding area. The property itself was great for my group. It says it can accommodate up to 13, but that would have to include toddlers or small children. It was perfect for my group of 6 adult size people and probably 3 more could stay comfortably.
Very safe neighborhood. We were very comfortable and would love to come back!

We had the best stay at Autumns Lodge! The Lodge itself is absolutely beautiful and close to everything! You are only minutes from the store, golf course, dinning and the lake. We stayed for our wedding weekend with friends from out of town. We had no issues and everything we could have needed was there. I only had to communicate with Autumn once because we locked ourselves out. She answered immediately and got us right in. The lodge was very clean and comfortable. We will absolutely be back!

Stayed here for my best friend’s bachelor party weekend and it was a great stay. The property is close to many activities such as golfing, boating and evening entertainment. The one and only thing is that the kitchen is very small but had all the necessities.

Autumn's Lodge was a great experience. The only way for the property to be any better would have been if the lodge was directly on the lake. It was close to great food and less than 5 minutes from Priest Lake. The lodge itself was beautiful and well kept. The host was very responsive and everything about our stay was as smooth as we could hope. I hope that we get the chance to stay there again.

Autumn’s home was the ideal spot for our group of 4 adults and 5 kids (ages 3 months-9 years). The kids loved the children’s books and bunk room. The kitchen is extremely well-stocked for all your cooking needs. We started off our weeklong stay with temperatures in the high 90s, and thanks to ample AC, the house stayed comfortably cool for sleeping at night. Everything was impeccably clean, the beds and furniture were extremely comfortable, and Autumn was quickly responsive when we needed assistance part way through our trip. The location is ideal, close to Hill’s Resort, Millie’s, the Tamrak, and several other spots. Also worth mentioning the WiFi connection was great, which as a family who has been visiting Priest Lake for many years, we have found is hard to come by. We would be honored to stay at Autumn’s home again!

Annual Tradition Summer Vacation!
This is our 2nd year staying at Autumn's Lodge! It's a great location, has a very cozy feeling inside and lots of room. The 2nd shower they added to the downstairs bathroom was great to have plus the extra air conditioner units they added kept the place nice and cool on the hot days we had. The outside area had plenty of room for all of us to sit outside, BBQ, listen to music and play cornhole together. Autumn has always been very responsive and accommodating. I enjoy renting from her.
Thank you again Autumn for letting us rent from you so I can continue to keep our Priest Lake vacation a tradition for my family.

We had a great time here. This house was a in a great location, clean and lots of room!
Definitely recommend for a large family. The only downside is the kitchen is pretty small. But lots of room and lots of bedding/sheets. Beach towels were available as well. Loved that they had a Keurig as well :) Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful Cabin
I loved the Christmas decor that was in place to celebrate the new year with my family. A couple of constructive suggestions.... The beds outside of the baby log bunk (which I loved) and the Master suite bed were not comfortable, I would suggest upgrading the lower bedrooms to a double bunk in the rear lower level bedroom and in the front bedroom, a more comfortable bed. I stayed at a VRBO where the beds were simply cozy and delicious both bedding and blankets and it makes me want to go back. Your space is adorable so just some constructive suggestions, we would suggest a better use of the office space area when you enter to a space that can be useful although we did appreciate the attention to children. Also, we did not love the commercialized signs out front that it is a VRBO and cameras at the cabin on the front and rear porch. The camera's made us uncomfortable, no privacy,.thank you again for sharing your space with. me and my family.

Great Location
The location is close to a small grocery store, a golf course, a resort, and a marina with boat rentals. The owners were very responsive to a few requests we had while staying there. The only negative for us, as a group if 8, was having two bathrooms and only one shower with limited hot water. The one shows is in the description, so we knew that going in. Also, for us, we like to cook big meals vs going out to eat. The kitchen was limited on pots and pans. I’d recommend getting something slightly higher quality and perhaps a few larger sauce pans, pots. Overall it was a great place to stay!

Excellent Stay
We rented Autumn's Lodge for a week and the location, size of lot and cabin were amazing! We had plenty of privacy, but were close to the highway, restaurants, resorts and boat launch. I would recommend this property.

Wonderful time
The home is beautiful. Great furnishings, bedding, appliances and very clean. Only thing missing is lake access but Hills Resort is less than 5 minutes away. Had our adult children and one teenage grandchild. Wonderful family getaway.

Thomas Family stay at Autumn's Lodge
Autumn's Lodge is a very nice place with several specialty items that give you a homey feel. The specialty items include log banister, Montana rock chimney, relaxing furniture, rock floor, wall photos of Priest Lake area, updated washer and dryer, updated kitchen and bathrooms. The place was clean and my family felt very comfortable staying at Autumn's Lodge. I would recommend this place for family's that want a relaxing place to stay with nice accents of the local area.

Calming paradise
We had a large group with us and everyone was happy. The house and rooms are large and accommodating. When it was time to rest everyone was comfortable and when it was time to entertain there was plenty of room. We had no problems with keeping the house cool. Just follow the directions the host has left for you and there is no issue with it. We were very comfortable. If you wake up early enough you can watch the morning activities that begin with the squirrel, cicadas, stellar Jay's, turkeys, Canadian geese, rabbits, and then end with a few deer wandering through. Its very peaceful. The host answered any questions we had even about the town very quickly. We plan to book next summer as well! Thank you Autumn.

Beautiful and great location
Autumn was great to work with, always very responsive. They are both great people. We enjoyed our stay very much. There was plenty of room and I loved the way she had it decorated. It had everything we needed and it was close to Hills and Millie's where we were most of the time and close to the store. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone. Thank you Autumn!

Not as described, Worst VRBO experience we've had
We've stayed at MANY Vrbos over the past decade & loved doing so. This was the worst/strangest experience we’ve had & our first negative review. There were so many issues, we ended up leaving after one night (we've NEVER done that). Word count is limited, so here is a summary;
1. Completely inadequate A/C - when we arrived it was nearly 80 & instructions are to turn off AC in evenings & open windows. This was a problem because my Mom was already having asthma attacks from the smokey air. When this was communicated to the owner, her response was that she already scheduled someone to come look at the AC & recharge it. Then she kept saying it was cooler when she was there earlier (not helpful).
2. No working internet service. Not only was it too slow for basic web browsing, let alone streaming TV, it would also kick you out every couple of minutes, requiring you to re-enter the password each time. Major problem for my husband's scheduled work meetings.
3. They have a pest problem - there are decent sized nocturnal critter(s) who have a home INSIDE, just above the upstairs bathroom. You can hear them scurrying around - all night. Ick.
4. Don’t plan on getting a restful night sleep - with your windows open and upstairs bedrooms NOT enclosed (just thin walls, no ceilings), you will see (headlights) & hear all of the traffic on the main & back roads. You will also see & hear any noise or lights that are turned on anywhere else in the house. We have small children w/earlier bedtimes & they couldn't fall asleep. There was also a quad driving around on the back road in the middle of the night & barking dogs. We barely slept.
5. It is still very much set up as commercial space with art, post cards and merchandized for sale in various locations. Make sure you don’t have curious little ones that could grab at something you end up buying.
6. There is commercial grade wired security system everywhere - monitor is on the large built-in reception desk when you walk in (which takes up 1/2 of the great room) and truly gives you the feeling you’re being watched.
7. The kitchen is by far the SMALLEST kitchen of any vrbo I have ever been in. Good for tea/coffee, not cooking.
8. The owner/manager of the home is unreasonable & when you communicate issues to her, her immediate response is that you’re wrong and whatever issue you’re having isn’t truly an issue. No effort to remedy.
I could go on, but I can't because I'm out characters.

No AC
The unit was very hot and we did not have access to the A/C. It was a super nice unit, but it did not cool down at all at night so the fans were no help. We didn't get a wink of sleep as it was 80 degrees minimum in the unit. We would have paid extra for A/C as we could see there was an A/C unit, you just didn't leave us access to the remote. Just something to think about in the future. Also, my card was charged more than the original estimate. I'm not sure why?

Couldn’t use the upstairs/both bedrooms. Friends had to rent some where else
The house was big enough to fit my family and our friends. That was the original plan. However they had to rent a different property 15 minutes away off of Gleason. Although air conditioning was listed as an amenity, it simply did not work. It was a hot week but that’s why I paid extra for a place with the amenities I wanted. Downstairs mid/late day would be 85 and upstairs would stay in the 90’s till about 11pm and that was with the “ac” on. We were there 9 nights and never slept upstairs once. The owners response was she “can’t control the weather”. That is correct, you can’t control the outside weather. However you can control the inside, which is why you have AC. We stayed on the golf course last year in a beautiful home for about the same price, no issue. That place had central ac. Year before that we stayed off Kalispel Bay in a cheaper place with no ac. I knew what I was getting into and expected to put up with hot days but the price was appropriate for the amenities.
Beyond the ac, I’ve never booked a place for 9 days that only left half a roll of toilet paper in each bathroom…. Until this one. Had to rush out the first morning to pick up all paper items. Maybe a couple rolls in each bathroom would help next time.
Honestly if you want top dollar for the rental, it needs to be made into a normal rental and not the art gallery it was a short time ago. I had 2 separate people come to the door looking for autumn and her art. The layout upstairs is also odd with the open ceiling. Reminds me of a set for a movie, where they only do the surrounding walls and leave the ceiling open for the filming. Definitely does not feel like a home up there. Little odd things like no light switch in the bottom first bedroom. It’s on the outside wall of the room.
I could go on… but it’s simple. I won’t be renting here next year or ever. Paid a lot of money for half a usable house.

Beautiful location and wonderful stay!
The property was plenty big for the whole family, clean, and had a great selection of toys for the kiddos. It was close to our friends cabin and the water, and it was a very pleasant stay throughout!

Wonderful stay close to golf and the lake!
Autumn’s place was an amazing stay. Her accommodations were very well thought out, which made the stay extremely cozy. We had two families, with four kids staying. The kids enjoyed the games and toys available and had a blast eating s’mores outside. The beds were very comfortable, linens were soft and there were plenty of towels. The place was very well thought out and Autumn was very communicative. I look forward to staying there again in the future.

Gorgeous and cozy lodge!
We met up with friends for a weekend at the lake, four adults, six kids, and a puppy and we had plenty of space! The building itself is a work of art with amazing local touches and ties. Autumn provided a current list of restaurants and events to help narrow down our plans. 10/10 would recommend staying!

Beautiful accommodations, reasonably priced, with attention to detail and hospitality. We even bought some of the art pieces the owner offers for sale. The best review is to say we’ll be back.
