We had a great time. Great views, great neighborhood!

This trip marked our third family trip to OIB. Normally we rent within walking distance to the beach, but this location (on the intracoastal Waterway) gave us a different perspective of Ocean Isle. This rental has a pier/dock perfect for fishing. We drove to Ocean Isle Beach (about 5 minutes away) everyday and then we spent time together on the dock fishing almost every evening.
Check in and check out were easy. The manager of the rental was prompt to reply to any questions we might have had.

My husband and I, along with our 2 dogs, stayed at Dolphin Cove this past week and we had a wonderful trip. The property is close to grocery stores, and shopping. The home sits at the end of the road in a quiet little neighborhood, which felt very safe. The homeowner was extremely nice and very prompt. We did reach out to him with a question and he responded very quickly. We saw dolphins several times during our stay, which was awesome. We fished from the pier and caught (and released) several different types of fish. We really liked the ramp at the front door, as our dogs are aging, and it's hard for them to climb stairs. Overall, this property was exactly what we were looking for and we're excited about going back in the future.

My husnand and two dogs stayed at this house for a week. What a great spot! Loved the porch, yard and dock. Close to everything but on a nice quiet street. We will definitely go back

The house was awesome, the location was perfect, and the view was exceptional!!! We loved this house and perfectly enjoyed our visit to OIB. Watching the sun rise and set from the dock was magical. Having been a former resident of OIB on the island, I have to say, I much prefer life on the ICW. We will certainly be back again!

Enjoyed several days with our family here. Cannot think of a more enjoyable vacation spot. Great privacy & natural beauty. If you love to fish or just want to relax into an intracoastal sunset, this is the spot!

It was a great quiet place to stay, everything was seamless and we enjoyed the time by the water.
There are kayaks, paddles and life jackets if you want to venture out onto the water, a crab pot and lots of sign of marine life around.
Positive reviews all around.

Had a wonderful wind down week. The back porch was perfect for enjoying anytime of the day. Just a few minutes to the beach with plenty of parking available. Took a drive over to Little River for dinner, took about 20 mins no problem. Had a great time.

We rented this home as it sits on the Inter-coastal waterway, which we loved. The view is lovely. The location is a 5 Star. I would rate the cottage itself a 3, as its in need of some updating. The bathroom and kitchen are nice but the home could use new flooring. Area rugs have been added to hide tears. The part of the stay that bothered me was our welcome, which included a sign on the washer and dryer that both were broken. Merry Christmas- the day we arrived. The management company knew this was the case prior but never informed us. This was not only an inconveniance but also not the best customer service.

The house is cute. Beautiful views and lovely neighborhood. Quiet and peaceful. The pier is great but it is long... lol. My husband had an injured foot so the walk was tough BUT the fishing was good so it was ok.. 😀 My only problem with the home is the bedrooms are on one side of the house and the bathroom was on the other. But that wouldn't stop me from renting again.

Enjoyed our stay fishing off the dock and watching boats go by.

Our first time staying on the waterway. Compared to ocean front more peaceful and all the majestic live oaks and wildlife breathtaking. The cottage itself was comfortable and just charming. Loved the screened porch and enjoyed sitting on it while my husband fished from the nice dock. Brandon was a fantastic host and helpful in many ways. We would definitely rent this cottage again

This was a great house! Beautiful views, great porches, pier/dock, nice big kitchen to cook, very nice grill which we used a few times! Being on the main channel was great to watch all the boats go by and enjoy a glass of wine and do some relaxing fishing off the dock.
Perfect location for grocery trips and restaurants and the beach. It was nice being able to do a load of laundry before leaving as well. the couch was very comfy to watch tv on..and take naps! There are plenty of free movies to watch on the Roku so no worries there. If you cook and want fresh fish, our favorite spot we found was Captain Jacks...fantastic tile fish and shrimp!
The only negatives for me - definitely bring your own bath towels and linens. Bring a roll of paper towels, and bring your own toilet paper - Just trust me.
Also, I cook a lot and knew we were going to for the majority of our dinners, so I brought my own kitchen spices. I just wish I had at least brought at my chefs knife, the only ones provided are old wobbly steak knives.
Overall, I would definitely come here again! My bf and I had a wonderful time!
P.S. Bring bug spray..a lot of it :)

First of all I don't write reviews, but I will try to find the words that describe my stay.first of all the house is exactly like the pictures, second the house is clean.l took my parents to the house on mother's day weekend which is my dad's birthday to. They had a great time fishing and going to the beach.the only thing that I didn't think way up to par is the cable! But I text the home owners and that will be fixed soon!

After a super busy first quarter my girlfriend and I found this spot to be exactly what we were looking for! Tucked away behind easy access to grocery and connector to beach, quiet in the neighborhood, and beautiful long pier for fishing

Overall everything was good. Enjoyed our stay. Loved walking down the road lined with live oaks, scenery is beautiful.

This property exceeded my expectations. The location was amazing - beautiful yard, deck, oak trees, dock, marsh view. The house itself looks outdated when you compare it to some of the new construction around it but it was full of character and comfort. The teens, dogs, and the adults were happy!

Selected this home for our vacation due to intercostal frontage, pier, and dock access and the family loved it. What a beautiful setting, Spanish moss trees and lots of wild life. Got a boat to check out Bird island and the Holden beach side. Easy quick drive to beach and lots of great restaurants. House had all we needed and more. Highly recommend.

We had a blast at this property! We brought our boat and did some fishing. The beach was only 5 minutes away. Shopping and restaurants were close by, and the neighborhood was so charming.

Secluded Get-Away on Intercostal Waterway
This 3-bedroom water-front home offers a secluded get-away. The kitchen was well-stocked with pans, dishes, spices, and a full-sized oven, along with a dishwasher. Having a full kitchen and access to a washer/dryer for clothes is a huge help when staying near the beach! I also really enjoyed the screen porch facing the water.
There's not a lot to dislike - the rental is as listed on the site. It's quaint, but a nice out-of-the-way space to get away from the business that defines Myrtle just 30-45 minutes south.
A couple of things to note that caught me by surprise. I'm used to VRBO owners contacting me days ahead of time to let me know where to go and how to get in. That wasn't my experience here - I was given access information only after the day-of cleaners finished prepping the space. This isn't a real issue, it's just different than I've experienced before, and, as someone who likes planning things out days in advance, had me a bit worried that I hadn't fully booked the place a few months ago. So - for any future renters - don't worry if don't hear anything until the day of from the owners.
Also, if you have young kids, note that the dock currently does not have any type of fencing or railings. It's a new dock, so perhaps there are future plans to put up railings, but given the height of the dock over a low-tide water level, I wouldn't have felt comfortable with my kids running up and down the lengthy dock. Also, bring a lawn chair to take out to the end. ... That said, the dock does offer a beautiful spot right on the Intercostal. I sat on the edge of the dock myself and caught a few blue fish. And though I didn't use it, there was a crabbing pot available on the dock as well.

Sweet Cottage on the ICW
We enjoyed our stay very much. The drive off the main road to the property felt like we were in a Nicholas Sparks novel. The cottage is precious, super clean and well appointed. The trees with the Spanish moss and view of the water are AMAZING and we enjoyed watching the egret families and other bird life. We saw some huge yachts go by in the evenings during our cocktail hour, prompting some imaginative conversations about how they came into their money.
We enjoyed the television in the living room and were able to watch our Hulu and Netflix shows. The couch was very comfy. I cooked in the kitchen one night and had everything I needed.
My only “constructive advice” for the property owners would be to please upgrade your bed linens. We had to go buy some cotton sheets to sleep on after the first night but I am a bit of a linen snob. This is a great OIB ICW get away!

Incredible Vacation
This property is great. The location on the inland waterway is perfect and scenic. We saw a ton of shorebirds as well as dolphins. Our evenings on deck were perfect and the inside of the house is very well done. My family and I are looking forward to booking this property again in the near future!

Lovely house , beautiful neighborhood perfect for a quiet getaway.

Peaceful trip
We really enjoyed the porch facing the inland waterway the most. The neighbors were very friendly. One invited us to use his dock for fishing, and that’s where we spent most of our time. The house was well equipped, clean and comfortable, but could use a few more pots and pans-and a pizza cutter!
