Nestled within a serene, peaceful neighborhood on the island's only paved road; walking distance to sugar sand beaches that offers buckets of seashells, shark teeth & award winning sunsets!
You will love returning home to your private heated swimming pool surrounded by mature, exotic tropical foliage that has the look & feel of a Caribbean resort.
The property is dappled with tiny gardens of succulents, exotic palms, rare, flower bearing bushes, gigantic aloe and more. There is even a whimsical “Peace Pole” garden, mythical mermaid and other unique outdoor decorative items of interest.
Rattan egg-style chairs provide the ultimate sanctuary to sip a cool drink, catch up on your favorite book all while suspended below a canopy of towering palms. A hammock built for two provides yet another, poolside relaxation option. Regulation corn hole on hand for spirited, competitive beach or backyard play.
Follow the winding path that leads to the island's deepest, sail boat access, natural harbor with dock: perfect to toss a line, secure your boat, launch kayaks, SUPS or take in the abundance of nature including dolphin, herons, osprey, bald eagle, occasional manatee family & more! There is a separate dining area for a more formal meal if you wish to utilize the well appointed, graciously stocked kitchen.

This is our second time visiting Paradise Cottage and it never disappoints! Palm Island is a beautiful, quiet, private island that is definitely for families looking for a relaxing island get away. The home itself is absolutely beautiful and has no steps(which is unusual on the island), but is amazing for us since we have an elderly person traveling with us and a young adult with cerebral palsy. The cottage is comfortable, clean, and spacious…and the best part is that the pool is its own private oasis! The beach is a short, five minute walk and there is private fishing off of the dock in the back if you’d like to do that! The hosts Carrie & Jay are close by and are very attentive and helpful if you should need anything! We will definitely be Back to this little slice of paradise!

Jay and Carrie are fantastic hosts! The cottage had everything we needed for a much needed weeklong vacation on the island with our family. The cottage has a great location, deep dock, total privacy in the backyard by the pool and in general is a beautiful tucked in oasis. We will definitely be staying with them again. This property is fantastic. The house is extremely well appointed - from the well equipped kitchen and bathrooms to the sunglass cleaner! We have never stayed at such a well stocked home. The furniture was comfortable as well as the bed. So many places to sit and relax outside. The pool was clean and refreshing. The private backyard with all the palms and flowers was so relaxing. The solar tiki's at night brought such a warm, relaxing evening - every night from our view on the comfortable lanai. Fishing off the dock was grand, only overshadowed by the manatee. The beaches were clean, private and such amazing views. The quiet, relaxing nature of the cottage was truly a vacation in paradise. Jay and Carrie are the epitome of warm, welcoming hosts. The gift basket was such a wonderful surprise - and well enjoyed. They have thought of everything any guest would need and enjoy for a stay at their cottage. This was our first stay at Paradise Cottage, but it will not be our last. Our stay was everything we imagined and much more. The house is very comfortable and well appointed and the back yard area - so private and so much to see, hear and take in. Simply stunning views!!! Thanks so much for welcoming us and spoiling us at your cottage!!!

Paradise Cottage is so very charming and has everything one needs for a stay on the island. We loved fishing off the dock, even spotting a dolphin! We loved kayaking and riding bikes around the island. Carrie and Jay were always available to answer a question or offer a suggestion. Their hospitality was second to none! Can't wait to return for another slice of heaven!

This was our second stay at this home, but definitely won't be the last. This property is very cozy, well cared for, well decorated, the hospitality from the owners is awesome, and there are no stairs to climb. Highly recommend it.

Lovely Home!!
My family and I take a beach vacation every summer and this was by far the best one yet. The home was absolutely lovely and very clean. It truly exceeded our expectations - FULLY stocked with necessities, smelled very clean, perfect backyard oasis and in great location. Lastly, Jay and Carrie were the best hosts I have encountered to date. They continued to check in on us to make sure we had everything we needed and were so kind. We failed to reserve a golf cart in advance and Carrie referred us to a local company/contact and we had one that afternoon. Their level of hospitality was exceptional and we will definitely be back. Book now - you won't be disappointed!

Amazing Paradise!!
This has been the best place we have ever rented. Carrie and Jay go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need!!! From the abundance of goodies they gifted us, to all of the extras that you do not need to pack. They thought of everything!!! All you need is your clothes and food and you are all set!!! We are so grateful for this tropical paradise and did not want to leave!! We caught pin fish at the dock and made a fish dip with it. Delicious!! The pool is fantastic. The owners have a golf cart you can directly rent from them to make it easier. All in all a fantastic vacation! We will be back!!! Thank you again!!

Absolute gem
Paradise cottage has been hands down the best vacation rental we have stayed in to date. Well stocked and lots of little welcoming touches for guests. Location of palm island was amazing. Quiet and relaxed, beautiful, no crowd beaches. Highly recommend renting a golf cart as well because walking in the heat would have made things more difficult but with the cart we had access to any of the beach entrances quickly and efficiently. Husband very much enjoyed the bed- he usually has trouble sleeping when away from home but the bed was top quality and very comfortable. Looking forward to a return stay!

This place was amazing. The only frustrating part was no pantry room. We were there for 7 days and had to store dry goods in bedroom near dining area. Otherwise perfect.

Carrie and Jay’s “paradise cottage” lived up to its name. In fact, Palm island in general was a perfect destination for our family. Beauty in abundance, nature abounds. Pristine beaches. Dolphins. Endearing gopher tortoises. The cottage amenities are first rate. Lovely pool sanctuary. And, most importantly Carrie and Jay are the most gracious hosts. We felt spoiled each and every day. Life in Paradise!
Paradise Cottage far exceeded my expectations! Hosts Carrie and Jay were extremely gracious and accommodating. Our stay could not have been more perfect! Walking the beach and collecting sand dollars and shark teeth in the morning and relaxing by the pool in the amazing backyard in the afternoon was such a wonderful retreat! Thank you Carrie and Jay!

Wonderful Place for a Quiet Vacation
We stayed over the Christmas and New Year holidays with 4 adults (two couples) and our small dogs. The island and house are perfect for a quiet holiday. The ferry keeps the masses away, and the beautiful garden and pool area for the house is very quiet and private. I think a "busy" day on the beach had maybe 30 people spread out over several miles. I really enjoyed long morning walks and shell collecting. The island is great for shelling! I found a very large horse conch my first day and collected a nice variety of other shells, including a beautiful pink murex, and a banded tulip, both of which were new for me, and also lots of sand dollars and fighting conch shells.
Everything was in order and the hosts are particularly friendly and easy to work with. They are happy to answer questions not just about the house but also about the island and things to do etc. Cable went out due to a storm and they were very helpful in checking with the cable company about it being out and checking in with us during the storm.
We used the pool quite a bit and it was nicely heated. Put the cover on at night for maximum heating. A large pontoon boat ties up to the dock just fine. We had room for both SUV's and two golf carts. Furniture is comfortable, and the house has tons of towels and toiletries. No real need to bring anything.
We bought a ferry pass and ate out a fair amount. Highly recommend Farlow's on Water in Englewood and South Beach Grill on Boca Grande. Also, if you have a boat, a trip to Cabbage Key for lunch is a lot of fun. We also went hiking on Costa Cayo (boat accessible). One couple did a lot of area biking and took their tandem bike over to the mainland on the ferry several times.
I am seriously in love with the island, and overall this is a charming little house in a great location and with great hosts. Highly recommend!!!

Relaxing Oasis!
We enjoyed everything this charming home has to offer-fishing off the dock, swimming in the pool, kayaks on the waterway and best of all, a short journey to beautiful, pristine beaches. Jay and Carrie were wonderful hosts and very responsive to any need. Thank you for sharing your home!

Vacation in Paradise
My family and I were fortunate enough to spend our recent vacation in Paradise Cottage on Palm Island. The cottage and grounds are even more beautiful than in the pictures. My grandson enjoyed fishing from the pier and we all enjoyed the private pool as well as the gorgeous beach which is only a short walk from the cottage.

I visited with my children and two grandchildren. The property was as listed and the home was well stocked with everything we needed for a fun and comfortable stay.
