Our second time to stay on this lovely property. Very peaceful, private and good location for our needs. The stone cabin has an historic charm and simplicity that is hard to find.

Hit the book button. Great host. Quiet retreat!! It was ALL amazing! Clean and well thought out house, great master bed. Lakefront was a magical experience. Swam in the lake, pitched a tent for some R & R while getting some sun and listening to the gentle waves. Private beachfront can’t be beat. Fun yard games! Golf cart to venture to the lake at the foot of the property. My husband rated this experience in the top 3 EvEr and we have travelled near and far so that is saying a lot!!! So much fun! Thank you for letting us stay. Now my husband thinks he needs a lakefront property.

My family and I recently stayed at this cabin on Lake Travis in Lago Vista. The home and grounds were perfect. Private access to the lake made it so convenient and easy to bring our dogs and walk back and forth between the cabin and lake. Mike was amazing and provided anything we needed. We are looking forward to booking this cabin again for family get togethers!

We had a wonderful time. The property and house were very well maintained and really clean. Everything we needed was there, dishes, grill, coffee maker, etc. Our favorite part was how quiet and peaceful it was sitting outside on the porch area or down by the water. Owner is an extremely nice guy and seems to go out of his way to welcome guest and make sure they enjoy their stay.

Absolutely beautiful, unique and peaceful. I really the picture album of the property with the work that was done to the house. Mike greeted us upon arrival showed us everything about the house and property. We had a couple of friends visit and they were so impressed they both said they wanted to rent it in the future.

This stone, refurbished cottage is so quaint and peaceful on a large property that is water front. Michael the owner was so welcoming and let us use his golf cart to take the kids and all of our stuff back and forth to the lake. The cottage has everything we needed for our weekend stay! We had a great time and will be back!!!

We had a great time here. Quiet, close to the water, and plenty to do on the property. We fished, used kayaks, searched for arrow heads, and spent plenty of time in the water. Mike was responsive and let us use a golf cart to go to and from the "beach". That was great. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for the stay!

Great location on the water - felt like we were all alone. The property is great with plenty of space and lots of shade trees. All the amenities you need inside and out. The A/C kept up with the crazy June heat. The golf cart was a nice bonus with the lake level so low. Loved the outdoor shower! Gail was very friendly and let us know we could reach out for anything but we had everything we needed. Had a great time.

We came to get away from the businesses of life and this property delivered. We brought our dog who loved the lake and being able to roam free. Deer came to the yard every evening and morning. If I am ever in the area again I would definitely stay here.

Me and my husband enjoyed our visit. The evening visits from the deer were sweet and the frog in the planter was the cutest. If you love nature and swimming and fishing you will love this vacation spot.

Loved the character of the house and the location is great — direct walking/golf cart path to the water. Our two dogs loved the yard and being able to swim. We saw lots of deer in the mornings and evening. Sunrises/sunsets were amazing. House was clean and comfortable! Thanks for sharing!

This is our second time renting this property. It is such a special place. The property is beautiful. It’s right on the water so we enjoyed fishing, kayaking and swimming. It was a blast even though it rained a bit. I love the stone house which is surrounded by oaks and has a 180 degree view of the lake. It’s well equipped with everything we needed including a grill and lots of kitchen supplies. We will definitely stay here again.

Needing an escape from Houston and the stone cottage was perfect for the two of us! Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook dinner both nights. The property is nice with lots to do (kayaks, horse shoes, and lovely rocking bench) and plenty of space to unwind. The water level of the river was low so we had our own beach to sit on and enjoy. Our dog enjoyed the space too! We had to keep her on a leash at dusk and dawn as there is plenty of wildlife around that she was eager to try and chase. Gail was a lovely hostess with lots of stories about the history of the cottage and land. Will definitely visit again.

My family had an amazing time at this waterfront stone cabin. Perfect for a family of 4. Location was fabulous, host was great! He welcomed us, gave us a layout of the property and even had the kayaks and golf cart ready for us. House has everything you need to cook meals, sleep well and enjoy downtime at the lake. Private beach area was so nice, especially for the kids. We will definitely be back!

A well loved and very cozy cabin on the lake that is perfect for a nice get away. Tree swing, outdoor eating with a view, little deer running around at dusk. It's a little slice of heaven. My daughter and I wanted to escape the city hustle bustle, and it was a perfect spot for us.
Sweet touches too, like fresh flowers and creamer in the frig. Nicely remodeled bathroom. Kitchen has everything we needed to make our own homecooked meals. Comfortable beds and pillows. Really a lovely unobstructed view of water with very nice hosts.
True to the listing. No dishwasher/laundry, but we didn't need either one. And we just wished we could have stayed longer.
