This property was perfect for our family. The number of bedrooms and bathrooms and the large gathering area made it easy to be together! Kitchen was well stocked and the dining table was big enough for all of us. Highly recommend.

This house was just as stated. Remote with beautiful views, lots of deer sightings, and gorgeous foliage all around. The house is older but has lots of unique vintage items that made it fun. The one story with minimal stairs (only two at the entrance) worked well for us and our special needs son.

We loved our stay here! Very close proximity to downtown and had lots of space.

Facilities were clean and the view was breathtaking. We planned to spend most of the day touring the neighborhood but ended up stopping at the Cape Porpoise Kitchen on the afternoon of the 2nd day, grabbed supper, and spent the rest of the day sitting on the back deck area watching the view! It was a great place to just relax and celebrate what is right with life!

Quiet area with a fabulous view. Home is slightly dated, but well equipped. Plenty of room. Quite clean but could use new rugs. Very close to town. Would rent again.

Good location, comfortable but, could use some updating. Possibly air it out prior to arrival. Musty

The pictures and descriptions are quite accurate. Although the house is dated it is very suitable for a Maine cabin. However there is a significant amount of deferred maintenance. Screen doors do not close, window do not open and close smoothly etc. In addition there is a need for more outdoor furniture. There are only 4 Adirondack chairs which is insufficient . There is no outdoor table to eat. The electrical outlets in the kitchen are not in convenient locations to run the coffee pot. Bring insect repellent there are a large number of aggressive mosquitos.

We are original Maine-ahs who have lived out of the area for a while but were returning for a memorial service in Ogunquit. We had 3 generations staying-teens/early 20's, 40-50's, and 70's. The layout was amazing for each demographic...the space was easy to navigate for the older members, and lots of room for the younger ones. The house had a feeling of immediate warmth-something that can't be curated, but at the same time it was impeccably clean and well stocked with anything we needed. The grounds and view were amazing, and getting to local locations/towns/beaches was ridiculously easy. I cannot recommend this home enough! Thank you for a lovely home!!

The property was down a long, unsaved road. Once at the property, lovely view. The house and furnishings are very dated and there was a persistent musty smell.whenever windows not open. On the plus side, beds comfortable, plenty of towels and seating.

Gorgeous setting, comfortable house
The setting was amazing, so close to beach and town yet so private too. The views were mesmerizing watching the sky and the tides. The house was comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking. Everything was very clean, the only drawback was the musty smell on arrival, it dissipated somewhat over our stay but never completely. The carpet needs to be removed.

hidden gem!
I would buy this house if it was for sale!!! Decor is dated but everything is VERY clean, no musty or pet smell or dust at all. Beds are comfortable and linen clean. Bathrooms clean with good water pressure. The kitchen has cookware/utensils/glasses (would love if they added a Keurig). Webber grill and fire pit with lots of firewood. Super dog friendly community, this home is on a creek/inlet and at low tide many friendly neighbors and their dogs walk (water-shoes/wellies and bug spray recommended). We biked to town, but note the roads are narrow and have hills. We will definitely rent again, Great location, perfect for kayaking and boating, its beautiful, clean and so relaxing.

Fantastic Vacation Home
We had a wonderful time at Bufflehead Retreat. The home is beautiful and is in a quiet area with incredible water views. The house was a great place to place to relax. It was only a 6 minute drive to the shops and restaurants in downtown Kennebunkport and a short drive to the ocean beaches. We had a great time and hope to rent the house again in the future.
