This very small house is located in a beautiful, whitewashed village, a stone's throw from the beach. There's a lively local community which comes out in the cool of the evening to play football on the sand, walk up and down the seashore and chat among the fishing boats.
The house is dark. The main bedroom has no windows at all. The second bedroom and small sitting area has small windows. But really you need the lights on. There's no garden or outside patio, so it's not possible to sit and eat breakfast etc with a view or much daylight.
The house is difficult to find. We spent ages driving around and ultimately walking through the village lanes trying to figure it out.
You need to drive to the nearest restaurant; there's not much nearby.

This little apartment is in a great location. About a 30 second walk to the beach, and just 2 minutes from the free public car park. It is a good size apartment, and I particularly liked the size of the main bedroom. Bathrooms are clean and functional.
This place is very expensive, and definitely not worth that price. The first morning we had no water at all, couldn't use toilets, showers, breakfast etc which was very inconvenient with 2 children, it was eventually sorted, but took a while.
On the second evening we went to use the oven and found a mouldy piece of meat? (I think) in a tray. Horrible smell. Reported it to the owner and they just brushed it off and said just throw it away. Very poor customer service. The smell hung around for quite a while.
We had to wash up all the crockery as it was all a little sticky.
Quite hard to find, the GPS takes you to the other end of the town.
The beach is very busy in the evening with people picnicking and enjoying the beach, so be aware that if you arrive back late it is tricky to find a parking space.

Comfortable and private space close to the small beach. Good AC and fans and pleasant rear seating area. Quiet spot.
Bathrooms a bit tired.

The address and the coordinates point to a very different places, one to Muscat the other to a abandoned house, so it was difficult to find it. The exact location is about 500 m north from the coordinates. Boat trip offerred by the renter was for an excessive price but the fisherman was very kind and nice so we were pleased to support him.

Definitely worth a visit if one is visiting Muscat. Some 15 min. from Muscat city and with a wonderful beach right outside. Host very friendly. Place is 1-2 min. walk from the parking area.
It's worth noting that one should take notice of local traditions and be careful taking pictures. Some of the older locals do not like one taking pictures, even though pictures are not of them, and it’s important to respect local traditions regarding clothing; dress proper and modest.
