About this cottage rental
The owners have gone to great lengths to create a fabulous, contemporary, sleeps-four home, whilst conserving the original 1700's features. Throughout there's a blend of modern art, Cotswold Company furniture and Farrow & Ball paintwork. The master bedroom has a magnificent emperor-size bed, all the way from the Pottery Barn in the USA, while the second bedroom has a delightful, bespoke bunk bed. On the first floor, with a great view to the eponymous elm tree and Market Square, is the spacious living room with a 63" smart TV.
Little Elms is decorated throughout with Farrow & Ball Ammonite and Moles Breath paint, giving it a calm and soothing feel that's fresh in the warmer months and cosy at the colder times of year.
Ground Floor
Entrance Hall:
Step through the front door into a small hallway, with stairs to the upper floors straight ahead and the kitchen-dining room to the left. Here you'll find an umbrella stand and room to take of shoes and walking boots.
The Kitchen-Dining Room:
The beautiful, bright, open-plan kitchen-dining room is the focal point of the house and a great space to relax, cook, socialise and enjoy your meals around a generously sized table. There is every appliance needed for preparing home-cooked food, from the Smeg fridge-freezer to the abundance of kitchen cabinets and work surfaces. An original window seat is a lovely place to perch and watch the world go by - through the wooden shutters. Behind the door is a handy upcycled church pew with seating and hooks for coats and storage for footwear. A Porcelain-tiled floor, with underfloor heating, provides a smart finishing touch.
Basement
Cotswold stone stairs lead down from the kitchen-dining room into a vaulted room with original stone flooring. At the far end of the basement is a newly installed cloakroom with a toilet and wash basin.
First Floor
Head up the carpeted stairs, with banister, to the first floor landing off which are the living room and bunk bedroom. The landing has a handy sideboard and a full-length mirror.
The Living Room:
This stylish, spacious room features a long, L-shaped, leather sofa, a swivel armchair, original, exposed beams and a large (63") smart TV on a retro TV unit. Ceiling lights and standard lamps provide the perfect lighting, both day and night. Snuggle up with a book, watch a film or take a nap on the fabulously comfy sofa! (Note: the fireplace is for decorative purposes only).
Bedroom One - Bunk Bed Room:
This delightful bedroom is furnished with a custom-built bunk bed with a pretty arch framing the top bunk. Each bed has its own in-built lighting and shelves to place personal items. The bedroom has a smart TV and is furnished with a large wardrobe, chest of drawers, a mirror and a set of removable steps to access the top bunk. Though ideal for younger guests, the bedroom feels grown up too, with its modern art and contemporary fabrics. (Each single bed measures 3ft x 6ft3").
Second Floor
Carpeted stairs with a banister lead up to the top floor landing off which is the master bedroom and family shower room.
Master Bedroom:
Up on the top floor, with a fabulous view out over the square and the towering elm tree, the gorgeous master bedroom is the most romantic of retreats. With its sumptuous emperor-size bed (2m/6ft6") grey, rich lavender, and subtle pink tones, this bedroom draws you in to relax and unwind. Furnished with bedside tables and reading lamps, an Art Deco-style dressing table, a chest of drawers, hanging rail (not shown), and a full-length mirror. A door leads directly from the bedroom into the shower room, creating an en-suite feel and purpose.

The property was located in the village square and very convenient for pubs and restaurants.
An ideal base to explore the Cotswolds

Very nice property in a great location with all facilities as described, no where really to dry bath towels and needs a tray as lounge is not on same floor as kitchen, but small complaints considering it is a lovely property.

We arrived to the property on a warm sunny day and found the property to be lovely and cool inside. Though it was busy outside it was quiet inside. The facilities throughout the property were excellent. Very comfy huge bed in the master bedroom.
We were able to sit on the grass outside the property and enjoy the late afternoon sunshine. We managed to park on the little lay-by outside the house which was a bonus as meant we weren’t moving cars around.
The only missing for me personally was a bathtub! After a long walk a soak in the bath would have made this the ultimate relaxation stay! Excellent location for drinks, food, walks and a handful of shops. Will definitely return.

Beautiful cottage right in the centre of Stow on the wold. Beautifully decorated and lovely and clean. We didn't manage to park outside the cottage as someone was there already. However this didn't matter, as literally 5 mins away a 72hour free car park. The people in the area were really friendly. The shops and restaurants were lovely. Had an after tea and went for a lovely countryside walk. Totally switched off during our family stay. Will definately be coming back soon. Thank you x

Lovely cottage, great location and very spacious
It would benefit from having the blinds put back up in the kitchen and on the front door, did feel it lacked privacy especially during the evening .
Couldn’t find some of the manuals on how to use heating, cooker etc .

Location is superb, cannot be beat! But the house is clearly a rental property. It was clean.....enough, but this house needs someone to oversee it. Kitchen sink has the usual issues as in the sink drain was just dirty and every time we ran water into it, it smelled of decayed food wafting up into our faces. Seems the drain needs a deep cleaning. Master bedroom windows open to let air into the house but the windows have rot and mildew on the frames and they don't quite close properly as the window hardware is loose. Clearly there is a moisture issue in this house as there were dehumidifiers in the master bedroom, kitchen and also the basement. The basement.....is the original basement from when the house was built in the 1700's or 1800's. It has a bathroom there also, but the entire space is so damp the toilet tissue was actually soaking wet (not kidding!) and totally unusable. Dehumidifier in the basement but not plugged in, probably because it would need to be emptied every day by someone unless it was direct drained into the sink in the bathroom, or somewhere. There seems to be no real plan to deal with the moisture in this house on a serious, ongoing level. So, it was a great location, and OK to stay in if you stayed in the kitchen area. And there is only one bathroom that was usable given the dampness in the basement bathroom, so using the bathroom that was in good order required trips up to the 3rd floor of the house every time. There is no bathroom on the main level of the house at all. House has an alarm system but no code information or operational information was given to us to use it during the stay.

Lovely base for exploring with a well equipped kitchen. Our 2 young children fit comfortably in the bunk beds. We had an issue with the water temperature but good communication and we were happy with the outcome.
Would definitely recommend Stow on the Wold and this property. Looking forward to visiting again.

We had a lovely stay at the Little Elms. It was perfectly located right in the market square. The home was fully equipped with any kitchen items you might need. Our only issue with the place was with the shower. We were unable to change the temperature of the water so it was extremely hot the entire time. Other than that, it was perfect for our family of 3. Would certainly recommend to friends and family.

We spent a week staying in Little Elms and it was fantastic. The location is sensational, right on the square in the heart of the village and the house has everything you need. Parking was never an issue for us as we were almost always able to get an unlimited parking space right out the front (at least overnight) and there was usually plenty of space in the square. Failing that, it was only a very short walk from the Tesco supermarket long-term parking. Stow on the Wold is a great, central location for exploring most of the Cotwolds and it suited us perfectly. We did a walking tour of the village on Sunday offer by the local civil society which was well worth doing. Overall, a fantastic place in an absolutely wonderful village.

if you're interested in exploring the Cotswolds.you can't beat this property. Stow is a great small town with many restaurants, bakery and shops and the rental is right on the square. Parking wasn't an issue if you're exploring the area. during the day. By the time you return, there's plenty. And,if not, parking at the Tesco is only a short walk away.
The house is comfortable and well equipped. Definitely would stay there again.

We rented Little Elms for 7 nights and used Stow as our base for exploring The Cotswolds. Little Elms was perfect—it had all of the amenities we needed and its location on Market Square puts you right in the middle of the shops and pubs. We would highly recommend a stay here!

Peaceful stay in a beautiful town
This property has been beautifully renovated and the perfect stay for our family of 4. We stayed at Little Elms and took day trips around the Cotswolds. The day after we arrived there was a market in the square out in front of little Elms. We had the best almond croissants. We checked out most of the pubs, restaurants and coffee shops in town. All were amazing. Overall Little Elms and Stow on the Wold were the highlight of our summer.

Cosy home stay in quiet Cotswolds town
The property is centrally located in Stow-on-the-Wold and perfectly placed to enjoy what the town has to offer during the day. After 4pm midweek, the town has very little to offer besides a number of pubs (no bad thing in itself) but this is no reflection on the property, as we were grateful to be staying in such a comfortable and well-equipped property.
It's well positioned for exploring the rest of the Cotswolds, and we were fortunate enough to be able to park directly outside which was really useful for loading and unloading with a baby. We really enjoyed our stay and its a shame we couldn't have stayed longer.

Superb location in Stow
Beautiful townhouse within the Market Square and close to all the amenities that Stow has to offer. Very spacious kitchen, lounge and master bedroom and great addition to have a basement. High spec facilities made our stay in Stow a memorable one!

Home from Home
We had a lovely week away in Little Elms.
The bed is huge and very comfortable, the shower is hot and powerful. I was worried that the bunk beds might be a little small for my tall children (9&11) but they were very comfortable in the their beds.
The cottage is a well placed base for day trips around the Cotswolds. We visited The Wildlife Park, Sudelly Castle, Blenheim Palace and even had a day out in Oxford.
The restaurants nearby are all of an excellent standard, but you do have to book in advance particularly during peak season. There is a small co-op two minutes away and a large Tesco 10 mins walk away.
We managed to park outside the property every evening sometimes we had to park in the Tesco car park but were always able to move the car by the early evening as the visitors left Stow.
There was a bit of a damp smell in the property, probably not helped by the damp weather we had but there is a humidifier to help counteract that.
All in all we were very comfortable here for the week and had an incredibly relaxing getaway.
