It’s almost cheap but not cheap enough
Check in was terrible. The promised parking options were not available which meant I had to leave my hired bike on the street. In the morning I woke to find someone had turned the headlights on nearly drained the battery. I waited nearly 30 minutes waiting to check in when I was finally allowed in the man wouldn’t let me use the toilet despite telling him I was about to go in my pants. When someone else finally turned up I was allowed to use a toilet that seemed to have a floor covered in urine and a toilet seat with faeces all over it.
The bed was terrible and seemed like it was broken in the middle, I barely slept a couple of hours. In the morning the promised included breakfast was not available, the closest thing was a stove with dirty pots and pans, no coffee, no hot water no food. I sent them a message asking them to check out, no one seems to acknowledge my existence until I was on my bike and ready to leave and they wanted to know where the money was.

Mama green est un petit havre de paix aux pieds des montagnes, le petit déjeuner organique est délicieux et Darghen est très attentionné avec ses invités.

Clean, quite property with a very fresh delicious breakfast. Ask to see the families permaculture farm, it is very beautiful. Staff was very helpful.
It’s small, some common areas but on the smaller side. About a 15 minute walk to the main square.

Comfortable bed and nice rooms. Friendly staff.
Not sure how it is an eco farm. Unfortunately this place is very small and has very few areas to relax in. There is no farm on site nor any garden to spend time in. The entire place is concrete.

The young guy in the reception was extremely helpful and friendly!! Thank you ! The room was clean and the bed very comfortable..good value for money!
There was nothing specifically that we didn't like. We got what we expected 😊

A very nice place, a little bit out of the most touristic areas but in a town where you can see "the real Peru"
. The breakfast was very nice, with local products and the people there did everything they could to help us.
Thank you!

Our host was so accommodating and really friendly. A lovely hot shower with a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is lovely and staying in the scared valley is a must if you are traveling around Peru. We really enjoyed our stay here.
Some of the facilities were a little basic and the toilet was not sealed to the floor. Very minor detail and it didn't bother us.

Beds very comfertable.
Thought we would be on a permaculture farm, but did not see this at all, not what the booking page suggests. Next to a building site. The private external bathroom was being used by other people , so was not actually private.
Lovely male staff member on the first day with a wonderful breakfast, but after he was gone the breakfast was not good and the bathrooms were not cleaned by the female staff member. Had to ask for more toilet roll three times because it wasn't replaced. Toilet bin was overflowing.
Breakfast food left out on the side and the cat was licking it before it was served.

The owner Darghen is amazing and super helpful.
The environment is great, calm and welcoming.
Far enough from the city center so it was quiet and exactly what we were looking for.
Great and healthy breakfast.

- unfriendly staff
- remote and hardly accessible location

- Bed and shower are good
- Coffee at breakfast is nice.
- Wifi is good.
- Nice little courtyard.
- Everything is rather new and in good state.
* Despite it's name it not a lodge, neither a farm. It's just a regular hostel with a small courtyard with some plants. The owner has a farm but it is somewhere else. I haven't figured out the ecological part except for the "organic breakfast". E.g. if you want drinking water, you need to buy plastic bottles in a shop.
* Rooms are very small. The ones with bathroom are not more than 9 sq. m. The superior has a king size bed, leaving just enough space to walk around it. The rooms without attached bathroom are on the ground floor, but the bathroom is on the 2nd floor. Not very handy.
* The location is in a residential area without any restaurant facilities nearby (and without any countryside feeling to compensate for that). You need to take a mototaxi for lunch and dinner.
* There is a lot of noise: the neighbour is doing construction work and is having the radio on VERY LOUD ALL DAY. Even with my earplugs in, the radio woke my up at 6.15am. After I complained with the manager, it was better the next day. At friday night there was a lot of noise from parties around us. I could hear every word the people in the room next to me were saying and they were not speaking extremely loud.
* The breakfast is "organic" but very spartan: only bread, a bit of salad (lettuce, cherry tomatoes and avocado) and local cheese plus coffee/tea. There is no butter/spread, fruit, juice or marmelade. You can order eggs for 1 Sol (which is not a lot of money, but a bit pathetic it is charged at all if you charge 29USD for a room).
* Staff is not very proactive and/or hospitality minded. E.g. Breakfast is from 8 to 10 am, when we came at 8.15am half of the buffet was finished and not (proactively) refilled. Same for the tea jars. Waste bin for toilet paper in bathroom is fully open, but not emptied daily.

The breakfast! I wasn't sure I would enjoy a salad for my first meal, but it was perfect! Fresh greens, cherry tomatoes, cheese, olives, hot potatoes and bread. Awesome! I will miss it. My room was nice. The Bed and sheets were the best ive had yet! The room was Chilly being winter. Darghen is the perfect host! Always on-site and attentive to any need. He speaks decent English also. I think a good stay for the money.
I have to say i was disappointed that it is not actually a farm or what I call a " lodge". The property is extremely small. I was hoping for some room to spread out and do some yoga. I practiced in my room. Mama's is about a 30 minute walk to center, but I didn't mind too much. It's closer to the trails and I like to hike and walk a lot. The view from my window was of a house under construction, which was kind of a bummer.

Nice place with great breakfast in a nice outdoors (covered) area. Bedroom is cosy and bed comfortable. It's located in a local neighbourhood with friendly locals. We really enjoyed talking to Darghen, the host, who is extremely helpful and gave us the best local tips for hiking, eating and other activities. Totally recommended

I liked that it was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The staff was friendly and accommodating and there was also a sweet cat. I liked that they provided yoga mats, books, and tea at all times and it was pretty quiet and peaceful.
The shower in our room looked very fancy but didn’t work well - there was very low water pressure and the water never got more than lukewarm.

This was a lovely break from Cusco, and a really comfortable and relaxing place. The breakfast was excellent for those who enjoy fresh and healthy food, the room is spacious and the host Darghen is very welcoming and helpful.
Nothing. Although the distance to the centre might be too much for some, we love to walk so it was ideal

Very nice breakfast, good for vegetarians.
The guy working there was very helpful and provided information on what to do.
The facilities look very nice.
The water pressure on the shower for the second floor could be better. Shampoo could be provided.
