Genoa, well-known port city and capital of Liguria region, is historically known for its important role in maritime trade over the past centuries.
Known as one of the most extensive medieval historical centers in Europe, the heart of Genoa is a maze of alleys that unexpectedly open up into small squares, often related, like the churches overlooking them, to important noble families.
The spirit of Genoa lies in the alleys, where different smells, tastes, languages and cultures perfectly blend in.
In the historical center is the Cathedral of San Lorenzo, in Romanesque style with a black and white striped façade and frescoed interiors. Narrow streets lead to monumental squares such as the Piazza de Ferrari, with its characteristic bronze fountain, and the Carlo Felice opera house.
The Genoa aquarium, the largest in Europe, is unmissable and iconic. The exhibition itinerary shows more than 70 environments and about 12,000 specimens of 600 species, coming from all the seas of the world. An unforgettable experience for young and old, which will fill your heart with emotions and a deeper respect for the sea and its extraordinary inhabitants.
Not to be missed is Genoa’s culinary tradition, with its iconic basil pesto, famous all over the world, and the “focaccia”, which can be either salted and topped with olives, onion and tomato, or even sweet and stuffed.

We had no wonderful time in italy due to the appartment. Let me share with you some feedback:
- the appartment definelty does not any more look like on the pictures.
- the appartment is dirty
- floor is such dirty that you have black feeds or socks are black
- i was ensured to have ventilators in each room, but we only had two - both was dirty
- the TV furniture is crooked, screws look out
- sofa is dirty
- the bathroom needs attention: e.g. silicone in the shower is dirty and old
- utility room is untidy, dirty floor cleaning cloth on the floor
- windows are dirty
.....and so on.
....and you cannot rent this apartment without air conditioning, it is defintely to hot. In minimum it would need insect protection on the window to be able to open the window during night (Mosquito's)
The above reasons was forcing my wife and us to take care of our kids and drive home.
After sharing this with Wonderful Italy, the response focused on defending and not paying anything back.
Wonderful Italy missed the point, that our feedback was mainly to increase awareness - less to get money back.
I am missing customer empathy and focus on customer satisfaction.
