We stayed here while my daughter attended a summer sports camp at the University of Utah. Host was very friendly with all exchanges over VRBO messages.
PROS
Friendly, quiet neighborhood in the heart of the Millcreek area. Easy access to University of Utah. Kitchen had most necessary items for making breakfasts. Check-out procedures were simple and minimal.
CONS
Pictures of house must have been taken sometime ago as house is showing its age and rental history. House is a lot smaller than it seems in pictures. The patio was a highlight for me when booking, but tall dry weeds had not been mowed down yet and it made me leery to even start the fire pit. Patio furniture is showing its age and suffering from sun rot. Back door only latches with deadbolt. Front door looks like it had a forced entry at one time. Floor is uneven in hallway and was tripped over several times during our stay.
Overall, it was quiet every night so we were well rested each day. The house is just needing some TLC.

The house was clean and comfortable. The neighborhood was well established and quiet. The location was close to everything we needed. Price was right for us. It does need some TLC in places. The yard was also not maintained - grass/weeds were over a foot high.

Really well maintained place and great communication with Drew. Never left wondering what to do or what to expect. Would gladly return.

Nice older home with easy access. Home looks like the listing, very clean and comfortable. This feels like a safe neighborhood.

This was a nice space for us to have to ourselves. We were able to use the washer and dryer, dishwasher, and the Magic Bullet for breakfast smoothies. Everything was operational.
The home was a bit dusty. The main bed was lumpy but was still comfortable. While there were updates that could be made, the price point was a great value.
It was a great location for all of our needs, close to fast food options, grocery stores and access to the freeway, and gave us a place where family was able to come and visit.
This was the first time we ever used a service like VRBO, and found it to be satisfactory. We will probably use or even stay in the same place when we go back to Salt Lake.
Also the contact with the property manager was the main reason we chose to stay here, he was attentive and responded back quickly. He was in communication with us about the check in and check out process.

I had to leave a day early due to scheduling and in a rush forgot my IPAD . I immediately contacted the host Drew Rothkopf and he told me he would ship it. The weekend passed and I reached out on Monday. It still wasn’t shipped but he said it would go out on Tuesday. I reached out tuesday to confirm it was shipped. No response. I reached out again today, Wednesday, July 19 and again NO RESPONSE. Tomorrow I will contact VRBO directly.

We were visiting an old family friend in Utah. Rented this place for a couple of days. Drew was very responsive to emails and messages. It was also nice to know that he had other people helping him with messages. Any questions or problems we had were promptly given a response. We had an issue with the dining table chairs because a few of them were unsafe to sit on. Sent them a message and they said they could send maintenance out to check on it, but we chose to just remove the chairs and hope they will take care of it after our trip. We also had an issue with the washer not draining. We got a response and was able to get it working.
The home looked welcoming. The area is pretty quiet. We felt safe and comfortable. Upon entering the home, like the other reviews, there is a smell but then you get use to it. We had all the amenities we needed. The kitchen was stock with basic necessities, like pots and pans. There were some spice in the cupboards and whatever else you needed.
Beds were comfy, but like many of the reviews, the home could use a little bit of an update. Overall, our stay was great and we did enjoy our time in this place. It was simple, but also comfy for our time in Utah.

We had three adults staying at the house to ski for a long weekend, the house had plenty of room and the kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would stay again.

Pros: Very good location in quiet neighborhood near retail, grocery, restaurants. Whole house. Large rooms. One floor. Clean. Good heating. Easy access to property. Flat street. Safe neighborhood. Host is extremely responsive.
Cons: House is old with considerable wear. Could use update of beds and appliances. Televisions present, but without live content.
Generally represents good value for the money. Adequate for most needs.

Prefect for what we needed
Great place to fit our needs! The Host was very present and communication was swift! There was an issue with the water heater before our arrival and the host was super prompt at letting us know and gave us options of a full refund, we still wanted to stay and they compensated us very graciously, which we truly appreciated for the inconvenience. The only thing I would note is the technology of the tvs could do with some improvement, but understand the listing is for sale, at the moment, so get why they aren't. Other than that it fit our needs the beds were super comfy, the place well air conditioned, and nice quiet neighborhood as well! Would stay again

Decent house but there was a gas smell
The house appeared normal from the outside in a quiet neighborhood. I opened the door and there was a smell of natural gas, I contacted the property contact and they mentioned they also noticed and there was nothing to worry about. After they called around for a little bit they confirmed that it was the water heater in the basement and that it was nothing to worry about.
I didn't feel comfortable staying there with my family at this point and we found a hotel for the rest of our trip.

Millcreek BnB
Overall we enjoyed our stay. We are former Salt Lake residents visiting family for a week and wanted a place of our own.
Pros: Quiet neighborhood, convenient to local pharmacy, grocery, etc. Easy drive to downtown, north and south suburbs. Spare kids room with larger firmer mattresses, has washer and dryer, big fridge, working and well stocked kitchen. WiFi and streaming services work. Ample parking and nice backyard space. Easy check in, responsive host. Clean.
Cons: Older home with a definite musty smell when you first get in the door (it won’t bother you after a few minutes), master bed mattress is worn, we used the kid’s beds after a couple of nights
