Perfect spot and hotel run by a wonderful family.

Owners, staff and food were priceless. Breakfast amazing. The rooms and property were the nicest we stayed at in Croatia. Perfect location and beach right outside your door. Ten minute drive to Hvar.

Fantástica experiencia en un muy buen hotel

El edificio completamente “nuevo” de alto estándar; muy cómoda habitación; excepcional preocupación y calidez de los anfitriones. (Josipa habla perfecto español) y esmerada atención de todo el personal de servicio. Buena cocina y excelente desayuno.

Podría ser sólo un detalle: Queda algo alejado del centro de Hvar, pero muy atenuado por el servicio que ofrece el hotel de traslados (a 5 minutos)

Affordable stay

The room we had was beautiful & spacious. We had a pool view which was nice. The bed was comfy & the bathroom was clean. The staff was amazing and they offer a shuttle to and from the city for an affordable price. They were so kind and friendly.

It is about a 10 minute shuttle bus away from the main city center so we had to keep taking it. If they didn’t offer this it would’ve been a bit difficult to make it to the main area, but thankfully they did and I loved it.

Quiet family run hotel knows how to please

Friendly staff, very clean, free hotel taxi pick up and drop off on arrival and departure from Hvar. Comfy beds. Terrace by the beach for breakfast.

Perfect stay, highly recommend.

Fortuna Hotel exceeded our expectations. The amenities, customer service and location were perfect. The free shuttle service to and from the ferry were an extra bonus. They also offered shuttle service to town for $10 which was great. The free breakfast offered lots of options.

Great hotel, super clean and brilliant staff

Hotel was lovely and the veiw from our balcony overlooking the beach was amazing. The staff were kind and helpful, they would help no matter the time of day. The taxi ride into town was a great touch too. The room was lovely all fresh and very clean. Would definitely stay again

Probably the best hotel and location we've ever been to, we're planning to come back!

We absolutely loved our stay at Hotel Fortuna. The location, just outside of Hvar was perfect and it was so calm and relaxed. The staff at the hotel were amazing, very friendly and made the stay so much more perfect. Breakfast was fantastic, so much on offer and a great view to sit and have your morning coffee, overlooking a lovely beach. The taxi service to and from Hvar was so helpful and saved a lot of waiting around and messing around, it was also very cheap too.

Not much to say here, everything was great from start to finish.

Superb

Idyllic setting, next to pretty cove. Truly family run by a lovely helpful family and supported by staff who adhere to same values and standards. The menu was good, but it was not quite the best food in the village. Breakfast was plentiful but invariably the hot items were cold.. It compared equally with the breakfast in the 3* Pax Hotel in Split. The sea view from our 2nd floor bedroom was stunning.

The soft top matresses on the bed, about which I spoke to the family. It slid on the lower base and could be dangerous for an old cripple such as me.

a little gem!

A little gem! Nestled in the bay of Milna you’ll find Josipa and her brother running hotel Fortuna. Good communication, great location away from Hvar town (but with a hotel transfer service provided free) nice local restaurants nearby and some very pleasant nearby walks. Breakfast is adequate, room with a view is amazing but the setting is why you come here.

Amazing Beachfront Hotel

Amazing family run hotel. Firstly, the location of this hotel is incredible, right on a lovely little beach. Make sure you book the sea view room, you will not be disappointed. We booked garden view, but as the hotel wasn’t too busy (end of season) they upgraded us for free. Rooms are very comfy and well thought out with nice little toiletries and a great power shower. The hotel also sent us a free transfer upon arrival and then we used the same service to travel to Hvar Town, which was only around £8! They even picked us up at midnight to return. The food was lovely from the lunch by the sea to the free buffet breakfast. The pool was a great added bonus and the sunbeds are the most comfortable I have ever laid on. The family at the hotel can’t do enough for you, they even let us stay and use the pool/restaurant after we checked out as our ferry wasn’t until 6pm. AND that fab transfer took us to the Fortress on route to the ferry port for some fab photos of Hvar. I cannot recommend this hotel enough, it was amazing! We will definitely return! Definitely earned its 4 star rating, better than some 5* I have stayed in!

Best hotel close to Hvar town??

Amazing staff, comfortable rooms, amazing food. Included breakfast was a nice buffet with a good selection and free unlimited coffees. Staff will drive you to Hvar town (5-10) mins for 70 kuna (~9 euros) which was 1/3 of the fare to get to the hotel from Hvar. The location is also amazing - close to several (varying beaches). You can also get free chairs for the beach or paddle boards/ kayaks and free towels to take to the beach

Exceptional

Lovely location right on the beach. Nice pool in back that miraculously had a water view as well. Excellent buffet breakfast that you could happily eat indoors or on either of their waterfront terraces. We had a nice balcony that looked out over the beach. The hotel is in a tiny town of 6 restaurants and is a five minute drive from the chaos of Hvar town. Very nice crew working the hotel and restaurant.

Does not deserve the rate over 9

- great location right next to the charming beach in a beautiful village of Milna - 5 km from town of Hvar which makes it perfect for a bike trips - rooms are very well equipped and very clean - we liked the fact that rooms were cleaned up during our breakfast - staff spoke good english

- we booked a room with the best view (even though it was not the biggest one). When we arrived the lady at reception desk informed us we will get a different , bigger room- which was supposed to sound like an upgrade. In fact, all we could see from our balcony was the roof, which we really hated - we havent experienced this „family atmosphere” - actually I haven’t seen these people smiling. we felt more like intruders - when it comes to breakfast - it’s hard to find anything yummy in there. there are plenty of things to choose from but everything is either cold or has no taste. Coffee was one of the worst I’ve ever tried - also I dont recommend.visiting their restaurant. During our 2week roadtrip in Balkans this was the worst food we had - and we did try 7 different dishes from the menu that night - water in the pool was so cold that we didnt use it even once To sum up - we always choose hotels on Booking with a rate around 9.5. Hotel Fortuna does not deserve a rate over 9 for sure. It should be rather 8.7-8.9. Also the fact that it has 4* is pretty shocking.

Why didn't I book it for longer?

After 5 days in busy split this lovely family owned/run hotel in a quiet location across from a beautiful beach was an oasis of calm. It's only a 7 minute drive to busy Hvar town and the hotel will take you and pick you up for less than a taxi ride. Great breakfast, restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. Only spent 1 day in Havar but I wish it had been a week. Everyone was very kind and helpful.

Never seen a toilet paper "dispenser" where you take 1 square at a time like a napkin dispenser, odd but not a deal breaker.
