Nicely secluded but in town and easy access to the area. Our dogs enjoyed being outside and plenty of room to play

We just loved this house! Beautiful property in a beautiful location, we wish we were able to stay longer.
There was a storm during our stay and Tom was so quick to help us and make sure we were safe. Would gladly recommend this property!

Lake George was a last minute get away, and what luck to have found this little gem of a place, and especially during a big holiday weekend!
This was our first time renting a house and what a great experience. This cabin was nicer than many of the high end hotels we’ve stayed at. I was surprised to find that I did not need many of the things I brought, the owner thought of everything and I felt comfortable to use his things... dishes, pans, utensils, washer, drier, linens, etc - all good quality and super clean. To my complete shock the floors were also super clean and spotless. Shocking to walk barefoot in a place that’s not home and find no dirt on your feet ...and all this while knowing recent guests had stayed with 2 dogs. The ambiance of this cabin is super relaxing, very spacious, and just pretty. 3 days was certainly not enough to enjoy all that this cabin and the area have to offer. We definitely will be back. Maybe next time we'll get to use the grill or fire pit!
I hope anyone who stays here treats this place and its owner with love and respect, I would hate for places like these to be off the market. We also have 2 dogs, we travel with them everywhere, and places like these are usually not pet friendly. The owner is very courteous, down to earth, extremely hardworking, and quick to address any issues with the place. If you ask, he is more than happy to share places to eat and see.
This cabin is truly a gem of a find!

This was our first family vacation and it did no disappoint!
Beautiful open layout house. You feel like you’re in the middle of the woods but only a 1/4 mile to the lake. Took 1 minute (literally maybe less) to drive to the beach access across the road.
Definitely will be returning for years to come

Tom's cabin is super clean, beautiful natural light and there are a few very special personal touches such as beautifully crafted concrete countertops in the kitchen and bath, and a big rustic dining room table that easily seats 8 adults. The cabin was well stocked and perfectly positioned between the beaches, boat rental outfits and Adirondack Extreme, which is a zip line park we really enjoyed. The two acres made it very easy for our dog to enjoy herself too. I'd go back in a New York minute.

The property is very nice and modern. The Host Tom meet us at the property and was very gracious. The space was perfect for our family and 2 dogs. While it was raining most of the time we did not get to enjoy the firepit yet the outside is spacious and lovely.. The home is large enough that with two teens, 2 dogs and 3 adults we never felt croweded. the half bath is a great bonus. Highly recommend

Tom's house was great for a family getaway with 5 adults. We comfortably fit in the space and were immediately impressed by the decor and cleanliness. My mother-in-law ever remarked that the pictures on the listing did not do it justice. The location was minutes away from hiking, lake access, and shops and restaurants. Tom was available when needed and clearly takes pride in his property. We hope to return again!

Tom was a great host! His house and property are very well taken care of! We had a great time! We went to see the ice castles, which ended up being canceled due to weather, but we still had a great time away! We were able to bring our sweet dog, it’s hard to find places that accept dogs. She loved walking around the property and never got bored! We are hoping to get back there next February to visit the winter carnival. This was our first VRBO and I give it 10+ stars!!!!

Beautiful house so close to Bolton! Went on a hike to Cat mountain close to us and took the kayaks available to the lake for an amazing day on the water looking at all the beautiful homes. Great restaurants right down the road. No need to cook. Went in the fall and it felt as if I was in a painting! House was very clean and well maintained. Owner was easy to get a hold of and had no problems during the stay. Would definitely come back again!

Our family had a wonderful stay. The home is beautiful, well-stocked and organized and minutes from Bolton Landing. It was convenient to have so much equipment (paddle boards, beach chairs, etc.) for our use with the launch and beach two minutes away. We also enjoyed the deck and the firepit. Tom, the owner, was terrific. We would definitely stay here again.

Property was clean and as advertised. Tom was very good with communication throughout. The location is great for accessing downtown Bolton Landing but still being away from the hustle and bustle. The only negative is that walking Lake Shore Road is risky as the shoulders are minimal and traffic moves at a good clip headed out of town.

Good and Bad
It was our first visit to Lake George and Tom was attentive and helpful. We appreciated his list of things to do and used some of his recommendations. We also appreciated Tom quickly responding when the town lost power and updating us on when it would be restored. He was also quick to respond when we were locked out one day to let us in.
We would recommend the VRBO listing more clearly stating that linens and towels aren’t included. It states this in the contract, but this was signed after the VRBO booking and payment. Tom was helpful however when we realized this last minute and provided us with linens and towels for an extra fee.
Some things we’d recommend being addressed:
No bathmats in either of the bathrooms; No hooks in half bath; Keys and locks were difficult and porch door could not be locked from outside; and we could not use one of the bedrooms as it had bugs and mosquitoes

This home was as advertised
This home was perfect for our first ever stay at Lake George. We decided to go to Lake George on a whim with no actual idea as to where to stay and what to do. We could not have selected a better property. We took full advantage of the paddle boards and kayaks provided. The extra bedroom proved to be a gem for our daughter that had to work during our stay. It allowed her privacy without us intruding. Home was very clean and provided all the essentials to get us started with the exception of bedding. We were prepared for this as the home owner was very specific instructions etc. one thing we didn’t think of was a bath mat. The location was fabulous…. Just short drive to public beach and lots of restaurants and shops. We would definitely stay in this property again.

Perfect, but bring bedding
This place is terrific but he's not kidding when he says bring sheets, towels AND BLANKETS--Not even a throw blanket on the sofa. The house is spacious, clean, and the kitchen is well outfitted. The kayaks and paddleboards were awesome, and the town of Bolton Landing is wonderful.
And yes, it's clear he says to bring blankets but I somehow glossed over that. Lucky for us it was summer.

Beautiful property
Gorgeous modern cabin, comfortable and feels very new. Terrific decor, loved the firepit and outdoor seating. Tom made sure that guests are comfortable. The sleeping porch was great for teens! Private and comfortable. My only recommendation is to include bed linens and towels ob the rental, but other than that, a jewel of a rental!!

Beautiful Stay in Bolton Landing
I almost hesitate to write this review out of fear we will never be lucky enough to stay there again. Tom has a beautiful home that has been recently completed and is within walking distance to the town of Bolton Landing. The home is clean, spacious, modern and beautifully decorated. Tom was a wonderful host who was easy to get in touch with before and after our stay. This property will become a favorite for many and will likely book far in advance. We hope to return again. We now understand why Lake George is the “Happy Place” for so many.
