About this house rental
Tiki Beach House is a 4 bedroom, 3 bath house, located on the Gulf side of the island of Big Pine Key. Over an acre and a half with 150 ft of open water frontage, private dock, private pool and breath-taking sunrises and views of Spanish harbor and historic Bahia Honda rail road bridge. Tiki Beach typically enjoys prevailing easterly breezes off of the ocean, making it cooler in the summer. Great fishing on Bogie Channel on Gulf side with quick access to the Atlantic Ocean (Spanish Harbor bridge min. clearance 16.60 feet). After a day of boating, relax by the pool. We also have a great hideaway in Key West, Tiki Beach Too, if Tiki beach is rented during the week you wish to stay in the keys.

Had so much fun and loved the location.

Great location with plenty of privacy in quiet area of island. House was newer and well stocked with supplies and towels. Also appreciated the ability to control the pool/spa heat. Our first trip to the keys and felt like this was a perfect location for those not wanting busy/noise but still close enough to access all lower keys have to offer!

Great location for family vacation. Reasonable drive to Key West and Marathon so plenty to do. Ran across a great art festival on Big Pine while we were there. The pool area and tiki bar were great to sit at during the day. Don't miss the turtle hospital tour on Marathon. Would stay here again if we make it back to the keys.

The house, property, and location are amazing!!
Noseeums were awful, but that’s Florida. Bring bug spray!!
Arrival directions did not match with actual. House was locked. Had to call to get in and was told “oh. I didn’t know anyone was checking in today,”. I booked far out and received arrival directions.
Grills were not useable and we had brought a lot of food to grill so we had to buy a grill.
Pool heater was off and pool was dirty when we arrived. We did not see a pool company during the entire time. We expected the pool to be clean and heated.
Messaged host through VRBO with no response.

Wonderful view of the water. Great location. Pool was a nice spot to cool off. We had a great time.

We stayed at the property twice before the hurricane wiped it out and the house was rebuilt. The house was beautiful and clean. The loft steps were way to steep to be safe especially for young children.
While the house was amazing the outside pool area needs a lot of help. There was a bathtub in the corner of the pool area? And an abandon row boat behind the grotto full of green water. The pool was filthy once I called they had someone out the next day to clean it. There is no light in the pool and the grotto was full of wasps to the point we couldn’t use it. There was no lights or power on the dock which is pretty standard to have available. The area around the house is super spacious but not well kept.
In short the house was great the outside area was lacking.

Enjoyed our stay for a week in Big Pine for a party of 9. There were even more beds than what we needed. House is very clean and has all the amenities you would need. Check in was easy and Debra was quick to respond to any questions. We brought our own boat - so used the dock along with the pool daily. Only suggestion would be to have a hose readily available at end of dock, along with a fish cleaning station. But we would definitely come stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at this home. The house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room for everyone. The pool was fun and the perfect way to cool off. We also loved the deer!

My family stayed there for a wedding we had at another house. It was very nice, clean the owner was very kind and accommodating . The communication was great and my family loved the house and the pool. Thanks for the experience

Excellent views of the sunrise and sunset daily from this home. The fenced in pool area was a great location where our dog enjoyed running and playing without being on a leash.

The property itself was nice. However, the pool had so many biting insects that it was difficult to enjoy. Trash was strewn all over the ground by the trash cans, with what must have been old bait in the cans. We sent a picture so we would not get charged and so the owner would be aware, but it was disgusting to bring out the trash.
Our main issue was that we were hit with charges saying that the home was left a mess, there was too much laundry (just linens from the beds and towels from the morning, as instructed) and that there was fecal matter in a bed. We left the home in almost the same condition we found it (just some reusable items in the fridge, trash from the morning in the trashcan, and linens and towels to be washed). This was disappointing.

Fabulous!!
What a wonderful stay!! This house was perfect for us! We had everything we needed (linens, spices, a basket of bug spray/sunscreen by the back door, etc) and the location is great!! It’s so quiet here yet you are only 5 minutes from the grocery store. Beds were comfortable, loved the pool- can’t say enough about it. Would definitely recommend!!

Wonderful for family gathering. Privacy and convenience!
Location is super. Key Deer visit regularly. Pool and dock were fun. Seating for games and meals together worked well. Grill good. Plenty of refrigerator space. Well supplied. Very enjoyable stay.

Family weekend getaway turned wedding venue
This property was fabulous! The location was great… close enough to Key West and Marathon but quiet and private. The house was VERY clean and had everything we needed, even as we rode out a tropical depression. (We actually ended up having our small wedding ceremony at the property because our venue closed due to the storm. Our planner loved the property for weddings.) The dock is very sturdy. The kids loved the pool. The host was responsive. And Key Deer greeted us every day. I would rent again in a second.

A few days in paradise
This property was absolutely lovely. We enjoyed the pool daily while the kids napped (they preferred the shallows at the beach) and the location was easy access for Key West and Bahia Honda adventures. Fantastic stay, highly recommend!

Clean quiet peaceful property
Plenty of bedroom and bathroom space. Great amount of refrigerator space. Lovely deck, picture perfect views especially of the sun rise. Nice pool, but does not get hot enough. Grotto was shady and very cold. There is no beach (rock only) and no ocean access. This is deceiving in the pictures of the property.

STAY HERE
this place was amazing! Super clean and had all amenities for a long or short vacation. House was super clean and had all essentials for cooking, cleaning etc. they even had a washer and dryer! Beds were comfy and clean. Beautiful views from the home and wildlife that comes right up to you! Only downfall for us was the amount of sand fleas that attack you on the porch. Left with about 100 itchy bites. Pool and hot tub were clean! 5/5

Nice and Quiet Location
Location was nice and quiet off main road. Beautiful views of water. House was simple and nice, but could have used a deep cleaning in loft and outside areas. Property manager was quick to respond and friendly. The bugs “no-see-ums” like mosquitoes, we’re terrible this time of year. But other than that we had a very nice and relaxing stay.

Sibling Retreat
Great house, easy to get to Key West for the day, explore other islands and just relax by the pool. The pool heater wasn't working so we did not get to enjoy the hot tub or pool and the bar area was piled full of lumbar so we couldn't use that either. I did get notice up front that the heater was not working, then right before the trip we heard it was working but then wasn't. There is not a table in the house there is a very large island which was great for cooking and eating at but not conducive for family games or gathering and eating around a table, your all in a line at the counter. The beds were great and nice clean facility, washer and dryer etc. Amazingly well stocked kitchen and we did get compensation for the pool and hut tub not working. Great walking area as well. All in I'd recommend this place, Debra was easy to work with, responsive to our requests and was a good host.

Beautiful location!
The house is very clean and we had everything we needed there. The pool heater wasn’t working, so that was a big bummer. There was some garbage around the pool area. I know it is still under construction, but it could be cleaned up a bit. Other than that, it was perfect. Lots of room for everyone.

Great Time on the water
Beautiful property with a very helpful host. We need some flexibility on schedule and they were very helpful supporting adjustments.. location is quite art of Big Pine key. Do not miss the opportunity to visit No Name Pub and Big Pine Rooster.

Nice location!
House is beautiful and the pool is nice. House is still not finished from hurricane repairs (no dock, no fence around pool and construction supplies laying on ground. I totally understand all that's happening on property because I live in Florida myself but some of the stuff could be done very quickly. Over all we had a great time House looks new and the Key Deer come visit every night. Looking forward to re booking for next year!

Great Lower Keys Base Camp
We really enjoyed our time here. The house was a great setup for a three generation family trip. The main floor had two master bedrooms (each with their own bathroom), and two more bedrooms with third bathroom available from the main area. Large kitchen island for sharing meals, two fridges (that was bonus we didn't expect). I know this is a little thing, but somehow the fridge ice maker kept up with us in the afternoon / evenings after we got back (can't stand a cocktail without ice and we never ran out...).
Owners were extremely responsive. We had a couple questions / requests early in our trip and could not have asked for a more responsive owner - they were great from our initial booking through our stay.
Location is quiet and convenient. Nearby grocery and other stores for anything we needed, plus the No Name Bar & Restaurant (great food) and other restaurants we didn't hit since we did most of our breakfast and dinner cooking in the kitchen or on the grill. Pool was our end of day relaxation place. They are still working on redoing the landscaping and dock from Irma, but we enjoyed being tucked away at the end of the day.
Trips to enjoy the lower Keys were easy with several trips for shopping, snorkeling, kayaking and eating in Key West, plus checking out beaches in Marathon (Sombrero), and Bahia Honda (Calusa - a group favorite).
Thanks for the opportunity to use your place for our trip!

Beautiful Sunset and Sunrise
The owners are working on some of the outside landscape from the storms and the dock is still being rebuilt but it is a beautiful well kept house. Extremely comfortable. The house feels brand new. We were mostly going to Key West. If you come in on a Saturday the farms market is a must. It's like 5 minutes from the house. There are also beautiful beaches right there as well.

Our family enjoyed our time at Tiki Beach. The view of the water, wildlife, and access to a pool were real benefits.

Beautiful vacation spot
Overall, was awsome, house is very cute and plenty big for the 6 of us , the kids loved the pool, hot tub and waterfall. We had fun making cocktails in the Tiki bar , The reason I gave it only 4/5 was because I really wanted to fish and it was very difficult with all the weeds . The only fish around the dock were tiny except for 1 small shark that we caught. Also the gas grill was difficult to light and one of the sliding doors kept coming off track. That said, the kids loved talking to the parrots and observing deer in the evening. It was also close enough to Key West to go rhere in the evening ( about 35 min) we rented a boat fromd wooden bridge and had great fishing near spanish harbor bridge Very quaint little bungalow and very relaxing vacation overall. Thanks for a great week!

Tiki Beach, the ultimate vacation spot in the Florida Keys.
I really loved everything about my stay at Tiki Beach. The location is perfect, just 30 miles from Key West, and only about ten minutes from Bahia Honda State Park. The house, pool, hot tub, dock and Tiki Bar were all wonderful. The sun rises over the Gulf of Mexico were breathtaking. I could have enjoyed my stay without ever leaving the Tiki Beach resort. I will definitely stay there again.

Tiki Beach was awesome!
Everything was as pictured. The pool was amazing. The kids LOVED the waterfall and jumping from hot tub to pool. We found everything we needed in the kitchen. The tiki hut bar was adorable and we ate most of our meals there or in the screened in porch with fabulous views.
Sunrise here is a marvel! We set an alarm to watch it every morning.
The grounds were fun and the girls loved trying to catch lizards. Everything felt very private and peaceful. No road noise which can be a problem in the Keys. We saw some Key Deer in the yard while we were swimming. We enjoyed the parrots saying Bye every time we left.
I only gave it 4 stars because the queen beds were really squeaky. The king bedroom bed was lovely. We did not use the twin bedroom.

Tiki Beach----- A piece of paradise !
Property was way more than our expectations , from the pool with a water fall to the real talking parrots it was a very enjoyable stay. The views were beautiful ,fishing from the dock was awesome and the house was totally equipped . The only negative was that our stay was too short !!! The staff was very nice and helpful with any questions. Special thanks to Debra Bensley for her help in answering any questions ! The Blair family
