I’m fairly disappointed with certain aspects of this rental. Some of it could be explained by a strange glitch I experienced with VRBO and the reservation process. Regardless of that, the beds were fairly uncomfortable and most reading the advertisement should instead plan for this being a 3 bed, 3.5 bath house, not 4 beds. The 4th space was a loft that was hot and had these cheap, uncomfortable futons in it. The adults did not like sitting on them and the kids didn’t like them either. The beds in the bedrooms were also uncomfortable and the AC seemed too small to cool the house. So, we did not get much sleep.
The living space was fine, but we hardly spent time here. The patio space was cool on the top floor, but the boards on the floor were broken.
I felt like the sensitivity toward renting was odd with the property owner asking questions about why we were renting for dates showing available online. The message I think had to do with deterring parties. We were a family visiting Pittsburgh to attend a funeral. I was annoyed with questions about guests as our situation may have resulted in us having family pass through.
Overall, I just felt uncomfortable. The place was designed to be a rental house and not homie. We were just passing through, so it worked for our needs this time. The house was clean and nice enough. I just wouldn’t recommend the place. I also don’t like VRBO’s app and rental process, which was not the landlord’s fault.

We came to visit our son and our daughter and her husband. it was so wonderful to be able to include our dogs in the weekend. The house allowed plenty of space for us to all spread out and the fenced in yard was incredible for our dogs. While not the most beautiful neighborhood it was well located for easy access to all the places we wanted to visit in Pittsburgh. We would come again. Thanks!

Some feedback from our experience:
Location: The location made us uncomfortable due to the environment. The buildings appeared rundown on both sides of your property. At the end of the street, there was a dirt road and a damaged car that appeared to be abandoned.
Property: on the website it stated that it can accommodate 10 people within 4 bedrooms. There were 3 bedrooms and one upstairs space, without a privacy door, and only a futon for sleeping. We were 8 adults and 2 children. We were there only for the graduation weekend and looking for a comfortable place to sleep. Two adults slept in each of the 3 bedrooms. The top floor had 1 small futon with no beddings. The frame of the futon hit the back so could not be used for sleeping. As a result, two people had to rent a hotel room and the remaining people had to sleep on the floor with comforters that we brought from home.
Based on our experience, this location can only had sleeping accommodations for 6 adults. We kindly request a credit for 3 adults, given that it did not accommodate the 9 adults listed on the property description. We will contact VRBO as well for the similar request.
Otherwise, the renovations were adequate. We had good hot water and air-conditioning.

Very easy to find and it was nice to have a garage and parking spot. We were able to find close by street parking for our 3rd car and friends that came over. The property was clean and had everything we needed. The backyard with grill was nice for our dog and another outdoor space. There is a busy road and train tracks behind the property, we thought it would be a problem but we dealt with it and got use to the train. Beds were comfortable but would not recommend the futons on the 3rd floor for more than one adult, they are better suited for kids. The view from the rooftop deck is spectacular. We needed a couple of things from the host when we arrived and they responded very quickly and solved the problem. I would stay here again.

Overall great property.
A few probs though.. my team was large adults and beds small. Full size doubles. Futons not comfortable. Couch more so.
Disposal didn't work from first entering creating a kitchen sludge-mess in the sink. Too bad cleaners hadn't reported, or last party. I was so busy and reported last day.
Kitchen lacked some baking dishes...

We loved the house - pros: large kitchen, great living room and back porch, nice third floor porch, and ample dining area. Cons: the area wasn't lovely around the apartment, we struggled a bit to get hot water in the downstairs bathroom (both sink and shower), and found the futons on the third floor not to be super comfortable (there are dividers in the middle that our teenage sleepers even found to be hard to settle around). Pros: the other three beds (two queens and a double) were great. The house was clean and modern, and the air conditioner worked very well! The one car garage is very small (backing in may have taken a few years off my life haha), but having a garage was very nice and there is an additional parking spot down the street. The street itself is, if not beautiful, very quiet - it overlooks a public school stadium where there was an adult soccer game in progress when we checked in which was fun to watch from the balcony. We were able to walk to the train station (even with three guests over 80 years old) and take buses when we needed to go beyond the south side (so we didn't have to get the car in and out of the garage too many times). It's close to two inclines with great views and there is a grocery store within a couple of miles. We had 8 people total, ranging in age from 13-87 and were very happy we booked it!

Thank you Thomas & team for the wonderful hospitality. Your property was exactly as described and in a great location to easily walk to Carson Street restaurants. We greatly appreciated the two parking areas for our families' vehicles.
Even with the haze from the Canadian wildfires the views of downtown Pittsburgh from the rooftop deck were amazing.
The entire rental process from booking to check-in to check-out was seamless, well-detailed, and professional. Thank you for a great stay!

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The description was accurate. Very conveniently located. Having 3 and 1/2 bathrooms was a big plus for our group. Also having parking garage was very convenient. We definitely recommend this place.

Stayed here for graduation weekend and it was a great spot for our extended family. Clean and roomy. Well equipped kitchen. We could walk to Carson Street. If you need more than 2 parking spaces, it could be problematic but the parking worked out well for us.

A little dirty when we checked in but overall nice plan and communication with the host was great.

Group of 7 of us came to enjoy a Steelers game in Pittsburgh for the weekend and really enjoyed our stay here. We had plenty of room, was close to most events that we were attending near the stadium, the roof top area was fantastic! No complaints at all.

We were in the area for a concert and this home was perfect for 3 days. Comfortable beds, kitchen was fully equipped, and we loved the view from the upstairs deck. A little farther from downtown then I thought but super easy to get to DT.
We had a few small questions for the owners and they responded right away. Very accommodating!

Great time in Pittsburgh!
The multilevel flat was great for my whole family for our vacation in Pittsburgh! The flat is right near the 10th Avenue bridge which made getting in to Duquesne and PNC Park very convenient. Having a bedroom on the ground floor, was very convenient for my elderly father. The furnishings were very comfortable and the decor was modern and sleek. My teens appreciated the top floor privacy. The dedicated parking spot on the street was very helpful. There is a garage space as well but you need to be very careful and have a mid size or smaller car (RAV4 fit fine but my truck would not have fit - truck was fine on street). The owner was very responsive and checkin/out was smooth. We would definitely stay again!

A Great Southside Townhouse
Wonderful location for events around the City of Pittsburgh as it is close to downtown, Station Square, Oakland and, of course, the Southside commercial district. The property has a great city view, a clean/modern aesthetic, is well appointed and accommodates varying ages as the bedrooms are located on floors that are separate from the main living area and the top floor open space/rooftop deck (which can serve as a perfect place for night-owls or older children and teens to hangout). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
