The home was nice, well stocked and large. The firepit was a favorite of my grandchildren, towels were plentiful and clean, owner was quick to respond and pleasant. The only negative is that we thought it was on a river but the river was COMPLETELY dried up and will not be functional again for another couple of years. However, the yard was spacious and the location is convenient to San Antonio, Greune, and not a bad drive to Fredricksburg.

I’ve never stayed at a house on stilts and the stairs will remind you to plan out trips up and down, but it’s absolutely worth it!!! It was super clean, had modern amenities and well stocked.
The neighborhood and immediate neighbors were great and super friendly. Got invited to a couple of get togethers while there.
The communication with the property representative was great! She even got me info and access to the private boat ramp.
I would recommend this property to anyone and will probably stay there again.

They charged a fee for everything. We had to pay a 250 pet fee, 250 cleaning fee, and more. The owner had so many rules in place. While having bbq and listening to music outside, the neighbors told us there was a noise ordinance at 10 pm. We paid 2000 dollars to stay Friday and Saturday! The rooms had small ac units, but the rules were to keep it at 75 degrees or charge a 25 dollar fee. It was Hot in the rooms! They didn't allow us to use the elevator to bring our stuff upstairs, so we had to walk three flights of stairs to bring our stuff up. My legs were hurting, so half the time there, I was sore. I also have bad ankles, so that did not help. Overall this place was okay, not worth the price.

The location was perfect for everything we had planned for the weekend. I dropped my son off at Texas Lutheran and we spent Saturday at Son's Island. The house was exactly as described. It was beautiful. Communication with Shana was amazing. She answered all my questions. It was a great getaway!

Very nice property, super clean and organized. Only complaint was the pictures didn’t really do justice for how steep the stairs are or how many. We had one person in a walking boot so it made it a little difficult. Other than that though, great experience!

Casa Azul is well maintained with plenty of amenities for a great vacation. The location is on the small inlet off Lake Placid which allows for a peaceful setting and easy access to kayak and paddleboard. Outdoor fire pit, furniture and grill allowed us to enjoy the backyard all weekend. I would suggest killing the ants in the grass and getting a ladder to more safely get into and out of the water. Beds are comfortable and plenty of rooms to hang out. Layout is great for large groups. We will definitely be staying again for another family reunion.

My family needed a place to stay for my grandfathers funeral. This was the perfect place to decompress after a few long days. Everything was not as described though...it was better! I love the layout and the privacy it gave each of our little families that stayed here. The seating out on the balconies were a great option when we needed time to think or just to read a book. The kitchen is an open space for meals to be prepared while still getting in family time. This was really such a great place to stay. There was a lot of thought that went into the many details put into the furniture and every piece that made up this home. We were able to relax in this CLEAN home! I cannot say enough good things about staying here. I am worried the next time we are in town and want to stay that this place will be booked up! Also, the property manager and owners were very quick to get back to us when we reached out for any questions
