Hard to put into words how much I loved our barn stay. I was very skeptical, but put my faith in my 9 year old who chose to sleep in a barn.
Turns out, I loved everything about it- the living space was warm and inviting, beds super comfy, the views spectacular, the animals amazing, the host wonderful and so helpful. Can't say enough good things and will look for any excuse to return. Thank you, Greg, for sharing your slice of Texas with this indoorsy girl.

Great place to stay. You can sit inside and watch the long horns or horses or go outside and hand feed the animals.
Check in and out was extremely easy.
Step to get upstairs are a little steep but worth the experience.

Just what our family needed to be still for awhile, together, to take a breath! We only stayed for two nights, however, we arrived on Christmas… to stay near the animals in the “stable”… could not get more perfect a reminder of the true meaning of the day! To see up close the longhorns, both massive yet gentle.
Watching them coexist with the horses, seeing the bunnies and cats and chickens all living their best life! We came from the cold NorthEast, so a sunny almost 60 was perfect for reading outside. What a way to begin a vacation-spectacular! Treat yourself to this very special place- traveled with our two teen daughters and the space was perfect for the four of us. Host attentive and accommodating, making sure we were warm enough in the unseasonably cold nights (for Texas) ;-)

If your looking for the best TEXAS RANCH experience this is definitely the place! A totally unique experience with a front row view to animals including horses, longhorns, chickens, bunnies etc
The host was exceptionally tuned in to all of our needs and concerns and even referred us to some local restaurants. The loft was was absolutely delightful and had everything we needed to make our two day stay comfortable. I brought one of my relatives from California as a surprise and boy was she overjoyed and impressed to have had this experience. The only thing I would warn is, if mobility impaired, this may not be the stay for you. I would HIGHLY recommend this experience. Five STAR in my opinion—-ONE OF A KIND!!

Loved it!
Ou grandson’s one request while in Texas was to see longhorns. What a dream for him to get to stay in a barn loft housing them! He was thrilled and we had a wonderful stay! Very accommodating and thoughtful in all the little touches that mean so much! We had everything we needed and enjoyed all the farm animals and recreation available! Will definitely stay again!

Rejuvenating, memory-filled, and great for kids!
I have wanted to do a 'farm stay' for a long time. But I also didn't want to be too far from stores and other attractions. Plus, I wanted to be able to bring my young son and not feel like everything was a hazard. This ranch was the perfect blend of all of that! And close to Typhoon Waterpark.
There was great communication from the host before we even got there, letting us know where to park, what to expect. From the moment we pulled up, I knew this was going to be amazing. The barn is legit a working barn, and the horses and longhorns' pen is literally 10 feet from the stairs up to our loft.
And yes, it smells like hay, dirt, and animals, BUT nothing gross or heavy. The barn is wide open on one side where the animals come in, and there is a sturdy fence between them and the stairs. You can choose to interact with them or not. And the wind blows through, so the barn / animal smell is relatively mild. It never once bothered me, and in fact added to the ambience of it.
The loft itself is amazing! Like an oasis, tucked upstairs. For 3 days, we had heavy gusting winds before a storm. And not once did the pace move or creak or feel unsafe—solid and quiet! You do hear the animals occasionally—like the chickens tended to cluck briefly around dinner time, and the big longhorn (named Lone Star) would moo occasionally, but really only once or twice and move on. Once the sun went down, it was always very quiet.
The beds were amazing! Seriously, my son and I think they are the best we have ever slept on, and will be replacing ours at home with what they have here, for sure.
Kitchen was appointed pretty well. I'd say they have just enough dishes, utensils, spices and other items for most guests. No dishwasher, so understand you will need to do some dishes by hand during your stay—not a problem for me.
There were eggs in the fridge from the chickens right outside! They were amazing—so fresh.
The host lives in the ranch house, about 70 yards away. He greeted us the first day, and taught us how to feed the horses and longhorns.
Things to keep in mind (but NOT issues for me): the stairs to the loft are sturdy, but a tad bit steeper than usual stairs. The bathroom ceiling gets low over the sink, so expect to hunch over a bit. You have to keep the door shut to keep out barn smell and bugs—to be expected, but if you are one that prefers a breeze / draft, this is not going to happen here. But, it never felt stuffy, and the air conditioning worked great.

Great Family Stay!
Spent 6 Nights at the Loft with my Wife and 3 Young kids and we loved every minute there! They could not get enough of all the animals! If your looking for a great location to stay close to everything but away at the same time this is it! Will be back for sure!
