The house was clean and nice for an older structure. It appears that the surrounding land is used for boat storage or something. Didn’t bother us but was unexpected. The house itself was clean and the property owner didn’t bother us which is super nice. We would stay again!

Everything about the cottage was fantastic. It's a beautifully renovated antique house that really sets the beach mood. I almost felt like I was on a movie set.... We enjoyed kayaking, and the host couldn't have been more accommodating.

Myself and my three daughters stayed a week in this lovely beach cottage by the bay. We loved the unique beach decor with a mix of old style nautical and modern touches. We enjoyed sitting by the water, and watching the crabs and herons when low tide would come. Having a fire by the bay while the girls played ping-pong was just perfect. The host Kellie Was Great and very easy to communicate with for any needs that we needed or questions that we had. Having a beach pass to the local Silvershell Beach was so awesome, the beach itself was great and very close by. We enjoyed getting ice cream at Annie’s ice cream shop and sitting by the water and watching the boats. We would love to visit again and definitely recommend this rental to anyone! Thank you, Kellie We loved every second of it and every inch of your wonderful, inviting bayside rental home!

The property was lovely, so charming and homey. Kellie was kind and helpful with shopping and activitie suggestions that the girls would like, she made us and our little support dog feel very welcome. Definitely recommend this property for anyone that wants to be close to the big cities but still want that quaint setting away from the hustle and bustle!

We’re old-house lovers, so we were looking forward to our stay — and we were not disappointed! The updates to the house including the kitchen preserve older features like exposed beams and ceiling boards, and lovely old furniture pieces mixed with new comfy ones. The location is perfect for exploring the South Coast of Massachusetts, a hidden gem and much less commercialized than the Cape has become. Kellie was very responsive to our every need. The only thing that disappointed was that I thought we’d have a view of the cove from the house, which is not the case. It’s an easy walk though, and we might return when the weather is better for kayaking!

Very cute New England Cottage. Part of an older home with the entry around the back and beautifully appointed with nautical design elements. Downstairs is roomy light and airy. Stairwell to the upstairs bedrooms is a little tricky to navigate. Lots of perks. Great little kitchen, laundry, Bikes, beach chairs and towels, water excess, kayaks, outside fire pit, grassy area, easy, parking, This is a really fun little property.

Great stop on our road trip. Just as described. Son enjoyed a kayak paddle, which was a bonus. Note that stairs to bedrooms are steep and probably should be mentioned in description. Overall a great spot!

My family and I just returned from a 3 night stay at the home and we could not have enjoyed it more!
The moment we entered the house we felt like we were in a home! The small details (kids toys on the bath, chalkboard note, other details I won’t spoil here) had my two children (6yo & 2yo) feeling comfortable immediately. Not to mention the amenities allowed us to pack without fear of being without something essential.
In regards to the outside, we never lacked for activity. Walking around the property, swimming in the water (again, young kids), playing on the dock and watching the small crabs and fish made for a tremendous trip.
This is a terrific family home and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone. My wife and I were commenting on details of the house and it’s character until the moment we left. Thank you, Kellie, for making this such a great stay for us!

The house was by far the cleanest property we have stayed in to date. The house was filled with beautiful accents and was well stocked. The grounds were big and our favorite part was a couch set up overlooking the water. It was peaceful and beautiful and we miss the tranquilty afforded us in this rental.

We had a great stay in this period property, which is beautifully appointed and decorated, and leads directly onto the water. Kellie was an extremely responsive host who was very helpful when we left some items behind. We enjoyed exploring the local area - New Bedford was very interesting and the water park in Wareham was a lot of fun, we loved it! When we first arrived at the property I was a little surprised to find it was on a main road but in fact you can’t hear any noise in the house and it was never an issue for us. We really enjoyed our stay here.

This home was adorable, very clean, and beautifully decorated. Kellie greeted us and provided much information on the area and an historical background on the home and boatyard, which they are in the process of restoring. The upstairs is a bit of a challenge with the steps and slanted ceilings, but the downstairs was very open, spacious and comfortable for our party of 5, with a large bathroom, kitchen, living room, dining area, and laundry room.
Our first evening we enjoyed being part of a small gathering on the property's waterfront complete with food and music.
Marion and the surrounding small towns offer great shops, restaurants and relaxing entertainment.
Overall we totally enjoyed our stay in this lovely home and beautiful Cape Cod experience. Thankyou Kellie!

This place is a lot of fun with all its historic touches. I'm not a huge fan of historic houses, but this one charmed me with all its fun details. Everything is very clean. All bedrooms are upstairs. The bedroom ceilings are low - my husband hit his head on the lamp a couple of times. The stairs are narrow and steep - we navigated them well, but people with mobility issues should be careful. The beds were very comfortable. I would stay here again if in the area.

This adorable boat yard home not only met, but exceeded our expectations! The home was adorable & clean and so beautifully decorated. Kellie the owner, was so friendly and helpful. She was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay memorable. There are so many gems in this boat yard but the ultimate is the boathouse patio that sits right on the water. Kellie has a very comfortable sectional couch for her guests to sit and enjoy their morning coffee or evening wine. I could have sat there all day, simply breathtaking! Great location, only 10 minutes to the bridges to the cape, we went on a cape excursion daily and even took the Ferry from New Bedford to Nantucket. Would definitely stay again… actually looking forward to seeing all the plans Kellie has to continue to develop the boat yard… this place is magical!

Favorite VRBO so far
We just loved this beautiful old home and the respectful way the owners updated it for the enjoyment of renters. There were so many interesting design details. They thought of everything. And it was spotless!! We enjoyed the water access and sitting on the cozy outdoor couch and Adirondack chairs. Thank you for a great stay!

The perfect home for us!
My friends and I stayed at this beautiful, charming home for 3 days while we were in the area for a wedding. It comfortably slept 5 although there were 2 bedrooms. Despite it being a very hot weekend, we stayed cool in the house while getting ready as every room has a window unit AC. The downstairs bathroom was large and easy for all the girls to get ready in. There’s another smaller bathroom upstairs as well! In the mornings we would walk up to the waterfront and enjoy the amazing views. In the evening, we enjoyed sitting by the outdoor fireplace. There’s also an amazing bonfire by the waterfront. You can also use the kayaks. Kellie did an amazing job of hosting us, showing us the property and then adding some personalized touches throughout the house. She also let us check-in early! We would definitely return to this home for a relaxing weekend getaway!

Great time
We enjoyed our stay a lot. We loved the cosy environment directly at the water. It was located very practical for us as it was only a few minutes away from Tabor Academy. Kellie made us feel welcome and gave us some great recommendations on where to eat in the area and we’d definitely love for her to host us the next time we’re in Marion.

Fascinating and Cozy
If you're looking for a unique stay, this is the place! We stayed for two months during our search for a new home. I'll start by saying that the accommodations are spotless and as comfy as could be. Kellie and her husband Dan were on top of every need we had and were just a text away if we had a question about anything. The house is completely equipped for every need and then some and the furniture is super comfortable, especially the bed in the master bedroom.
My favorite part of staying there was having my coffee every morning either at the picnic table in the cedar grove or down by the water's edge. The place is teaming with birds. It's stunningly beautiful!
It's a working boatyard, and we were there just as the boating season was kicking off, so there was always something different going on everyday as Dan and his crew prepared all the boats for the season and it was fascinating to watch! I understand that during the summer months however, it's a different story and it's totally calm. Either way, if you love boats and love being right on the water, this is your place! Our kitty Trixie, loved zooming around and up and down the steep stairs. Thanks for hosting our little family Kellie! We really enjoyed our stay.

Great Old House, Great Boatyard, Water Location
We loved this home - it is better in person that the photos show. It is an old home, nicely decorated with many special little touches that you might miss - kitchen touches, linens, couches, chairs, even water shoes for those who may need them. Kellie has thought of everything. The yard is big and fenced off from the main road. Plenty of lighting and special touches there as well - grill and outdoor fireplace, sitting area. The only caveat is the stairs - as an old house, there are old steep stairs. Really cool, but not for everyone - think cross between stairs and ladder. We were here in the winter, but I imagine the water access for paddle, kayak, swim, etc in the summer is awesome. Great place, we will stay again.

Very nice place
The apartment was very nice and clean. The yard was nice, and a short walk through the boat yard there was a very nice seating area on the water. Our dogs loved swimming in the water. Would definitely stay there again. The stairs to the second floor can be challenging for some.
