Walking distance to downtown. New to the area, the neighborhood felt a bit neglected. Property itself was nice. The train is very close and passes by frequently.

A little afraid to write a review because if more people realize what a GEM this place is, I’m afraid it’ll be unavailable when we want to book it next time! :) This week was our second time here and it’s the only place we ever want to stay in Columbia Falls! Super cute, excellent location, clean, perfect for a couple and pups. We just checked out today and are already looking at dates for next year!

Teakettle Kabin was great! Very comfortable, well-provisioned kitchen (including basics like oil and spices - no more bland meals at a rental!), nice outdoor space. Quiet neighborhood but less than 10-minute walk to a full supermarket, several great restaurants and bars. Really convenient location for exploring the west side of Glacier NP and other beautiful parks and towns in the area. Ignore comments about bugs (saw grand total of one spider in 9 days) and the train (much quieter than the dryer, which was not loud), it's not the Ritz but it's really a lovely place.

Very nice and clean. Fenced yard was great for our little dog. Washer and dryer a plus! We actually enjoyed the trains. We just ran a fan at night.

In town for a bike race in Whitefish and exploring Glacier. This location was perfectly situated for accessing both locations and the perfect size for 1-2 adults. Kitchen space is a little tight but can make do. And of course there is the train but you get used to it. All in all a great stay and would come back.

An absolute joy to stay at this well appointed cottage. Perfect for couples.

Not what we expected. It had bugs crawling around, not a well equipped kitchen. There was no table to eat on, horrible neighborhood and we did not feel safe. The train noise was horrible and there was no mention of trains before renting. The dishes were all chipped, only 2 drinking glasses to use. There were not any luggage racks for luggage.
Silverware was dirty therefore I had to re wash the pieces before using. Needs better window coverings and a bedroom door. The only positive thing was the bed was comfortable. We need a refund! This is the first time we have not been happy with one of your rentals. Was not described correctly. We were very disappointed with this property.

We liked this place.
It’s is well located. The old signs and memorabilia from the National Forest Service is cool.
It’s cabin-like. The light was very bright in the all rooms in the morning. (This was July.). We are late sleepers, so we just used some trash bags and a little duct tape on the windows.
It is near train tracks. That didn’t bother us as we wear ear plugs and use a white noise machine.
There is a nice little porch that is a wonderful place to sit. The yard is neat and tidy.
The TV is perfectly adequate. But there is no cable, and the internet is not quite robust enough to pull FUBO or Sling. You might just have to miss that next episode of The Bachelor.
The AC is solid and was more than up to the very hot days in July.
If you drive in on Second Avenue, be aware. Not all the intersections have stop signs!
The place is supplied with a coffee maker and coffee and filters. But if your prefer your coffee as a cup of cream and sugar, you will need to bring those yourself.
Really nice place.

We loved this little home and everything thing about it. It was the perfect size for us and we enjoyed our stay here for four nights. We washe clothes and used the heat because we had cold nights because of the cold, wet weather. It was very cozy. Our dogs loved the back yard. We recommend this little cottage to anyone looking for a place to stay. It is close enough to Glacier Park to drive and and we enjoyed the restaurants in Columbia Falls.

The kottage was very clean and had everything we needed! Washer/dryer was a huge plus, as we only packed carry-ons for the week. Neighborhood had some good food options and we were pretty close to the park’s West entrance. There are railroad tracks nearby that trains frequently use, but the hosts provide a box fan and a sound machine that made it easy to sleep! Great stay!

Wanted to stay 2 nights. Called owner who said he couldn't be responsible for nature. Silverfish, spiders and red beetles were all over the inside. The bed the kitchen the bathroom, everywhere. The owner said he'd send an exterminator the 2nd night. The exterminator said we could not re-enter due to the material he used. I must receive a full refund on this property as we couldn't sleep at all the first night and had to find other accommodations the 2nd night. I told the owner to rent the 2nd night to others and he never responded. I don't think I'll use VRBO anymore if you approve bug invested listings like this on your site.

Location is good and close to town but is right by the train so as long as you are not in the cottage much it is fine. The property is ok but definitely small and with a few low cost little TLC items could improve the experience. We bought hangars so the next tenants will have some! . Feels like someone is living there with leftover items in fridge and chipped dishes ietc. No dining table to eat so you need to eat out on on the sofa. Nice washer and dryer. Good communication from owner.

The Kottage has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The location is fantastic! We had our bicycles which made getting around town a breeze. I would recommend to anyone that want to be close to the park without the crowds of Whitefish.

We found Teakettle Cottage to be very cozy for the two of us and our pup. There is a good sized yard for our dog to wander around and is fenced. Yes, there is train noise. I wore earplugs so it didn’t bother me. Otherwise neighborhood very quiet. Driving distance to Glacier is only about 20 minutes = we left between 5-6AM so we could enjoy the park before the crowds. Watch out for deer on the road on the way! Multiple restaurants only a few blocks away. Bring your own shower supplies like shampoo/conditioner as not provided. Great to have a washer/dryer as we were covered with dust due to road work/rough gravel roads in park. Air conditioning was a treat after days close to 100 degrees. Internet worked great for streaming Netflix, etc. Host very responsive.

The teakettle kottage was close to everything. The cabinets are well stocked. The checking process was easy, we did not stay in the room very much, we were out exploring the park and other nearby towns. Will stay here again if we get to come back.

Small inexpensive things could improve the experience. There was leftover food from previous renters in the refrigerator, and in the cupboards that was a little disgusting. It’s nice to have spices and oils, but leftover condiments/salad dressing and half eaten bags of potato chips should never be left for new renters. The one ice tray in the freezer next to the leftover ice cream, was cracked and broken and useless. There were no hangers in the closet to hang clothes up, the plates and glasses had chips in them, there was no Kleenex, there was not adequate coffee, and there was no soap for the shower. The lawn could have used some mowing also. The towels could be upgraded. It appeared that there was somebody sleeping in the camper in front of our place. That made it a little creepy.

Me and my girlfriend flew up from Texas and stayed here for Glacier National Park. It's close to Whitefish (good grub check out Abuzzos) and the park. The lodge had everything we needed, pots, pans, gas range, gas pit outside but I'd check to make sure its filled prior to arriving. Owner is very detailed on access instructions. Columbia Falls is a busy town with some industries so a train does go by near the property occasionally, nothing a little drink or two cant make you nod off, though. Thanks again! Oh and they have firestick with netflix, amazon, HBO, etc.

This is a cute little place. It’s very neat, tidy, and clean. As a solo traveler with a dog, it was so nice to have a fenced in yard for my dog to enjoy. Only 15 miles from GNP and 1.5 hours from Canadian border. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We spent our vacation here and couldn't have picked a better place and location. We had such a fun time! We would definitely stay again. I couldn't believe the cleanliness and all the things in the Kottage...we didn't need a thing. I would highly recommend this property!

Our Stay
We had a great time at our stay. The house had everything we needed and was cozy, clean and comfortable. We had one little issue checking in, but the owner got back to us quite quickly. We would stay there again and recommend for any couple looking for a nice stay near Glacier.

Sleep was nearly impossible
The only reason I gave 2 stars is because it was clean and and cute and pretty well stocked aside from no microwave. Pay very close attention to the train reference in the ad. This home is no more than 300 feet to not just a track but a crossing where the lights flash and bells clang and the train honks 2 times. It is a heavily used track and our last night there was no less then 20 trains. It is very loud all night long. Add to that the bed is like sleeping on plywood, like a very cheap motel. I spent 4 nights in recliner my husband slept on a small sofa much of the time. And it should be noted that though they advertise tv as entertainment there is no service provided you have to bring your own and stream to the provided TV. The ad should specify this. We paid way to much for this place. So maybe if your really young and don't sleep it might be suitable but if you are over 40 forget it.

Good location close to West Glacier park entrance
Location was really close to the West Glacier entrance, which is great. We had some amazing hikes in the park every day of our stay.

Teakettle Cottage
The cottage was clean, comfortable, and cozy. The refrigerator and kitchen was well stocked. We really enjoyed our stay. The railroad crossing is very close to the cottage and 4 to 5 times a night the trains come through blowing the whistle.

Exactly what we were hoping for
Great location, dog-friendly, super clean. The fenced-in yard was beautiful. Washer and dryer were a nice perk after a week of traveling! We wished we would have reserved more days here!

Central to everything
Affordable and central location. Compact cottage. Has washer dryer. No microwave but there is a grill. Close to the rail road so you will hear the train. There should be larger and darker curtains for privacy. TV with cable channel would be nice.

Great little house
My husband and I stayed for 4 nights in July 2021. The house is well-equipped with everything you need in a small space. The AC was a nice addition! We also enjoyed the food truck night on Thursday just down the street. Recommend!

Great stay in a perfect location!
My husband and I had a great time staying here for our honeymoon! The house has all your basic needs and is a comfortable place to relax and unwind after exploring Glacier Park. It’s 20 minutes from the West entrance as well as being 20 minutes from Whitefish and Kalispell. There are several nice restaurants within walking distance (gunsight saloon, back room tavern and back slope brewing were our favorites) and we really liked Smiths grocery store in Columbia Falls too! Only thing to be aware of is there is no microwave and there is another rental property that you share the driveway with- neither of those things ended up being a problem for us though. We loved our stay and Sean was great at communicating if we had any questions or concerns.

This location and home are amazing! Upon arrival we were pleasantly surprised by a window air conditioning system given the current heat. The home is very clean, has info on glacier as well as personal tips/suggestions from the owner (that were utilized and much appreciated)! No microwave, however otherwise we’ll stocked and the stove worked well for cooking. Great size and location for 2 going into glacier west daily.
Wish we could have booked our entire trip duration at this home. Highly recommend.

Cute home near Glacier National park and downtown Columbia Falls
Unit was well equipped for the limited space provided and offered a lot of charming amenities and touches. The outside patio was a nice touch as well when the evenings got cooler. Be sure to connect with the host the day leading up to arrival to ensure keypad entry info is provided. Also, during the warmer weather of the week when we stayed there, the unit got very warm.

Cute snd cozy cottage
It’s a cute space. Clean and worked great for two people. The host was very responsive when we had questions, and it’s within walking distance to several restaurants and a grocery store. Heads up: There is a tv but you’ll have to connect your phone or iPad to watch on your device’s streaming service. Overall we were very content with this rental.
