Had a lovely stay! House is huge, much bigger than the four of us needed but it was fun to explore! Pool was clean and perfect for hot summer afternoons and we enjoyed sitting out on the patio In the mornings and evenings. House was clean and tidy but was a bit musty after having been closed up but improved after opening windows and screen doors. I’m sure it’s great in the winter as well. Thanks for a lovely vacation!

This house, the location, everything exceeded our expectations! It’s even roomier than the pictures show - a family of 8 was able to spread out during the day and come together comfortably for dinner. We’ll definitely be back!

We recently enjoyed a wonderful stay here and one word kept coming up that summarizes the property perfectly: SPACIOUS. From the rooms to the grounds, it felt downright decadent to have so much room to ourselves. Beyond that, the owner's (and Dennis's) attention to detail is superb. We've stayed in places where a pot and a skillet was considered a 'stocked kitchen.' This place, however, had everything--from fine China to plasticware to every pan imaginable. It's a truly exceptional home and, on a number scale, we'd give it a firm 10 out of 10. We only had one caveat that people should be made aware: Understand that this is an old house. As such, there are small stairs / threshold bumps at many of the rooms and all bedrooms are on the second floor. For the very elderly or those with mobility issues, this might present a problem. It did nothing to alter our stay--in fact, it was part of the charm of house for us. But we felt it might be helpful to note.

A perfect place in a beautiful location
This house was perfect for what we were looking for - a quiet, comfortable, spacious house in a farm type setting with a pool for the young children (and us adults!)...Dennis the caretaker was wonderful and attentive to all of our needs. This home is also in a great location to explore the Berkshires and Eastern NY area. Highly recommend it!!!

Great ski house for a family !
We loved our stay at this house. It surpassed our expectations. The rooms were large and the kitchen had everything to make large dinners. The bathrooms were clean and stocked with great products. The location was stunning, with the kitchen and living room and several bedrooms looking out at the lake, guarded by tall trees. An incredible set of books for the non-skier. All in all, we ,loved it!

Charming house with beautiful views
Large home with very large rooms. Beds were all very comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped. Some of the house could use some updating but everything works. Because the house has neat old sliding windows, the a/cs are in-room units with hoses going out the windows. - they work ok but are a bit loud. The view out the front of the house is as beautiful as listing shows. Open side porch is best part of house - big sectional plus table and chairs, the perfect place to watch that front view. Pool is small but nice, and there's a cabana with bathroom. Property is situated on a hill. We brought bikes, but drove them down to center of Copake to use - didn't want to deal with riding back up the hill. Overall, a good place to rent, especially if you've got a larger crowd.
