This was the second time we have stayed there and it was just as enjoyable this time.

Good location, but not that well stocked (e.g. no coffee maker). Needs a good deep cleaning.

Place was great for our travels.

Clean, well decorated, nice location, great communication.
Minor note; could use some noise cancellation in the kitchen. There's a locked door that I am guessing leads to a stairway that connects the apartment to the lower floor where the owner stays. It's a bit loud at times (tv noise), but this issue doesn't really extend past the kitchen. Could probably hang a moving blanket over it and defeat that issue pretty easily.

Totally quiet, lovely older home. Lots of space with great internet. Beautifully decorated. Lots of space.
Owner on site if needed. Very accommodating!
No crazy post it notes saying what we could not do as in some places.
Everything we needed was there. Jetted tub a plus!
Close to everything.
Will stay there again in a heartbeat!
Thank you Amber!

When we arrived the property was ready for us. We went in and found that four rooms were locked, which is fine. But as the stay went on, one of the rooms that was locked we realized someone was in that room. They coughed a lot and the TV was pretty loud. Occasionally would hear them talking loudly as well. When someone cooked , the smell of the cooking came i to the house we were staying in. The kitchen didn’t have a lot of items to use and it felt pretty dirty. Cabinet doors were greasy. The bed was soft and comfortable and it was nice to use the bath. Struggled to find parking everytime we came back. The house is old but a cute property

I mainly picked this property for the bathtub. It was a very relaxing spot and soaking in the tub was perfect. Bubble bath and bath salts were considerately provided. The sounds through the walls were noticeable but not disruptive.

Nice older home in a quiet neighborhood. Restaurants and shops were in close walking distance, and the Doyle street bike and pedestrian path is just a few blocks away. The house is well maintained and the host was friendly and available if needed.

Loved the house and beautiful east bay neighborhood. House is super clean and fun- cool art, comfy chairs on the front porch. It was quiet and my partner and I slept great. I’ll definitely stay again. I don’t like hotels. I loved the comfort of the clean, beautiful older home. Great eats in the neighborhood. My favorite was Easy Creole.

Not what we expected
The day before our arrival we still had not heard from the owner so I sent a message asking about check in instructions. She replied that the key would be in the mailbox and sure enough along with the mail there was our key. When we entered the house there was a smell – I guess it has to do with it being old but non-the-less not a pleasant greeting. Onto the living room - we couldn’t get the overhead light/fan to work and after asking we were told that it doesn’t work just use the sconces above the fireplace which happen to be beside the TV, not the best for viewing the TV and certainly no light for reading in the evening. The next morning when we could see in the living room we were greeted by dead and dying plants. My biggest disappointment was the kitchen. After getting out the coffee maker from a cabinet I had to do a thorough cleaning as it was filthy. We only planned to use the kitchen for breakfast (thank goodness). I bought a loaf of bread to make toast in the morning however no toaster and no skillet either. I was told to use the broiler. The sponge they let us in the kitchen was dirty. There were no dishtowels – owner told me to use a bath towel if I needed a towel in the kitchen. Bathroom had no hand towels or trash can. Grateful for the hairdryer but could have done without the condoms in that drawer. The shelves in the bedroom closet, which I assumed were to be used for clothes since there was no dresser, were paint splattered and dirty. A little shelf paper would go a long way. The dining room is full of their personal items. The place has potential but it needs some work. The bed was comfortable. The location was good, close to the BART. The neighborhood was quiet. The hardwood floors in the living and dining room were beautiful. There was plenty of hot water and water pressure in the bathroom.

You will occupy the whole floor with several rooms
This is a vintage house and well-preserved. Relaxing in the rooms give me a feeling of my own home. The hostess is very proud of her family, her culture background. The location is fine and the supermarket is walkable. The neighbors were friendly.
