Property was perfect. We rode SXS in Snow Shoe. Host had every detail covered. Close to State College also.

We struggled a bit with the lock box on arrival, but we’re older so probably just operator error. The house was very clean which is a huge plus! Not a ton of things to do right near the house (like coffee shops, farmers market, etc.), but we took a few long drives and the scenery was beautiful and very relaxing. It was perfect for what we came for. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a rental in this area.

This house was wonderful! It was so clean and had everything we needed. It was a great location and not a bad drive to Main Campus. The beds were also very comfortable. We will definitely stay here again in the future!

This house was perfect for a weekend and two-day event at Jordan Center. We could get two from the BJC within 30 minutes. The house is located a few minutes from I-80. The house is in a rural community; however, we found a pizza, sandwich shop, ice cream store, dollar store, and gas stations within 5 minutes of the house.

I recently stayed at this property, and it was everything I could have asked for. The unit itself was clean, comfortable, and had a modern feel to it. The kitchen was well equipped, and the bedrooms were very nice & had new linens. It was close to State College (~30 minutes), yet far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. I would definitely stay here again.

This is my husband and son’s second stay here and enjoy the place. Clean and great location. Would only recommend adding a washer and dryer for guests to access. Will definitely stay again! Thank you for sharing your property!

We enjoyed our stay and family Wedding in State College. We got caught off guard with a snow squall our first evening driving in and were helped by someone in the neighborhood getting our SUV unstuck. Also, late that evening the drive way was plowed and open for us to get out the next morning. The house was perfect for us and the help in the snow was very much appreciated!

Warm, cozy, welcoming, comforting, like home and my 12 yr old said alluring! Super clean and full of amenities and details to keep you comfortable. This quaint countrt home was the perfect spot juat 25 minutes from awesome Penn State University, where were visiting and enjoying Nittany Lions Sports! We absolutely loved it.

We rented the property for Parents Weekend at Penn State. It was a perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle of campus. Sitting by a fire after a long day was so amazing! The rental had all we needed amenities wise. The only downfalls were that the WiFi did not work and having only one bathroom with 6 people is a little challenging. I plan on definitively renting this property again when I head up to Penn State!

We were moving my son from California to State College and this property was our perfect hub. It’s conveniently located near the freeway, roughly 30 minutes away and had everything we needed. The property was spotless, very homey and welcoming, cutely decorated and had the essentials. The beds were very comfortable and the owner was a dream to deal with, always there and quick to respond. We greatly appreciate the hospitality and will likely look to stay there again for future visits. The hotels in State College are ridiculously overpriced, so the savings alone justify the slightly longer drive. Thank you again for being great hosts!!

Was in town for a graduation. House was comfortable and clean. Safe and quiet area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again. Just minor note: Internet very temperamental. Had to restart router to join with my phone. My wife was never able to join. May be good to check before next guest. Recommendation to get coasters and placemats.

House was lovely. Size was good for the four of us. Kitchen could you a large skillet but there is a Blackstone griddle out back that we used. Hair dryer was missing.

Owners extremely comminicative. Property immaculate. Welcoming. Quaint. 10 out of 10. I'm extremely picky. Inpressed. Only negatives. Laptop would not connect to WIFI. Area very rural. No place to shop/groceries. Buy your gtoceries before check-in.

Was just looking for a place to meet with few friends and catch up , this place was great! I don’t hunt or have an ATV but I can confirm there was an ATV trail that did look fun. House was clean and was nice inside. The living room had comfy clean sofa which was paired very nicely which a flat screen tv. Spent most of the time in the back patio area having drinks playing cards, it was roofed and did provide some privacy to neighbors. Owner was very quick to respond to messages and they provide a good amount of toiletries already and organized. If I had to say a negative it would be there’s nothing to deliver late at night so definitely make a full food run but we’ve grown up in towns like that before so no big surprise.

Wow this place was absolutely perfect for my daughters 28 birthday! When we got there a bottle of wine and a birthday card was there from the host for my daughter, what a special touch. A basket of goodies and a few soft drinks and water in fridge! The place is emaculent and just plain cozy!! There’s a fire pit which we used and enjoyed sitting and enjoying our wine with laughter. We also went to penns caves which was fun. Memories made at Hillside Home!!! Thank you!!! Everything you need and more!! Definitely be back!
