About this cottage rental
House Rules (must meet these to book): Sleeps 6 (max 4 adults), Sunday - Sunday only during the summer (last week of June - start of Sept), Lead guest must be 30+ years old. no pets allowed. Medium non-shedding dogs permitted (no cats). A supplemental information form must be completed.
It is always difficult to assess a cottage when the first time you see it is in November. Such is the case when we first visited Vista Lake. Even though we arrived in the late afternoon as the sun was waning, the cottage presented a welcoming, homey feeling. It was easy to see that this is one of those special summer places that can be enjoyed from May though October.
Vista Lake is the perfect Muskoka cottage rental for a most traditional family cottage vacation. It is just the right size for a small to medium family and oozes with Muskoka. Throw in a some majestic woods and a beautiful lake vista, add a nice size deck and an adjacent fire pit and we think you'll find this is made to order.
Inside, your group will find themselves with plenty of room in the large living area. An amply equipped kitchen is all you need to keep the food coming to hungry swimmers, and a dining room running alongside a large picture window that never lets you forget where you are.
You'll enjoy lazy days outdoors here, whether it is relaxing on the deck or sauntering down to the waterfront for a day of swimming, boating, or sunning. The path to the water is not steep, but may not be suited to those with mobility challenges. The lake levels at this cottage may be unpredictable in the hottest months, so unfortunately we can not guarantee swimming from the shore, which can become muddy underfoot at the water's edge at times of low water levels. The best swimming is either off the dock or the swim platform provided for deeper water swimming and sunning.
A week in cottage country is seldom complete without a day trip, and Vista Lake is positioned nicely for that. Bracebridge is just a few minutes away and has all you need for shopping and dining. A further drive takes you to the uniquely Muskoka offerings of Hunstville, Gravenhurst or Port Carling.

The cottage was clean and lots of room for 4 adults, 2 teens and 2 dogs ! We didn’t do any water activities because of the time of year. I would recommend the cottage for anyone wanting a Muskoka get away !
