About this house rental

Clean, Two bedroom, one bathroom, with laundry room, grill, picnic table, fire pit and swing (around 1100 sq ft) rustic cottage in the country on a farm setting across the road from Weiss Lake. This cozy cottage is about three miles from Yellow Creek Falls and 12 minutes from the town of Centre, Alabama. Little River National Park is about a ten min drive also. Some guests enjoy fishing off the bank across the road. The main bedroom has a queen size bed and the smaller bedroom has a twin bed with a cot that is suitable for children or smaller adults. There is also a brand new sleeper sofa in the living room and washer/dryer. There is NO wifi and limited tv channels but there is a DVD player and a few family friendly movies and games that are there for our guests to relax and enjoy. We have a table outside next to a water hose for cleaning your fish and plenty of easy parking for your vehicle, camper, or boat. It is not wheelchair accessible. A picnic table has been added. A small dog may be permitted with prior email approval and a fee. We also have an extra pasture if you need to rest your horses. Up to six guests total. More guests may be allowed with prior email approval. Please email a list with guest names and ages at booking. Absolutely NO smoking inside the house. If the house smells like smoke at all the deposit will be forefeit. There is a covered porch and plenty of outdoor space to smoke which is greatly appreciated.

Didnt expect luxury but did expect comfort. Beds were very uncomfortable. Pillows were lumpy and wore out. All the towels smelled mildewed. The chair/recliner was broken and could nit be pulled out from the wall. The couch was old and very uncomfortable. The bathroom toliet and tub made bubble sounds when the washer or dishwasher were running. Also u can barely see any of the lake from the porch but the donkey and horse did still make sitting outside peaceful. The place was clean for the most part but wouldnt recommend if u want to chill out in the living room or sleep in a comfortable bed. Also bring ur own pillows and towels...

We came up for the ABT Championship and stayed 4 nights at the cabin. It was very peaceful and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was very close to several boat ramps. The donkey was also very welcoming 😊

The Host was so nice and helpful! The house is older but really nice. The view in the morning while swinging on the front porch drinking coffee was amazing! The ONLY thing I really didn't like was the squeaky older bed in the master and linens smelled like they might have been left in washer too long. I still would definitely stay there again though

The cottage is a cute little getaway out in the country away from everything and everyone. The satellite dish dropped a few times, so plan to rent a DVD or bring one if you need entertainment. The donkey, cat and horse were nice to watch, and the front porch swing is a delight. The bathroom is in the main bedroom, so make sure you feel comfortable with who ever comes with you.

Cabin is quaint and clean. Provides most basic necessities needed. It was definitely better than staying in a hotel. Felt like home away from home. I loved the quiet and peaceful times I had there. We spent most of the time at the cabin sitting on the porch enjoying the animals and nature. I didn't go for a vacation, but it was definitely the exact setting I needed.

It was just me staying at the property. It was a great place to stay. Check-in was a breeze and the property manager was wonderful. They even let me know that I could check in early. I just hung out at the house all weekend, but going from the brochures at the cabin, it was in a great place to see some of the most beautiful places in Alabama. Will definitely come back.

Dandelion Cottage was clean and comfortable. The setting was perfect, no noise. Have never been to this part of Alabama, never knew it was so pretty. No problems with the rental or the process; all went quite smoothly. Thanks to the ownets gor an enjoyable stay.

This location was amazing. Very close to hiking, rock climbing, swimming, boating, fishing and so much more! Leesburg is just 15 minutes for any grocery or material needs. I would recommend this cottage as a great home base for adventuring all day or simply relaxing in a private country setting! Stallings and Roberts Families enjoyed every moment and had a great Father's Day trip!

This was our second time staying here. We missed Kit and Peter, but our stay was just as enjoyable as the first. It's a plain country cottage, minimal traffic on the road, quiet, no internet, close to Yellow Creek Falls and Little River Canyon, very peaceful.
