Kenson camp is 3 br 1 full bath with 1,000 sq ft of living space sitting right on the water with incredible views of Locke Pond with the western mountains on the horizon. Kenson Camp sits on its own 5 acres, with a completely private driveway leading all the way into the cabin. Seclusion and privacy at its best! The view of the lake is facing north, so you will get both sunrise and beautiful sunset views.
Inside you will find 2 bedrooms in the rear of the camp. Both downstairs bedrooms have queen size beds. The 3rd bedroom is the entire upstairs holding 4 beds. There are 3 standard full size and 1 twin size bed upstairs. The bathroom has been newly remodeled with a full tub and shower with a built in Bluetooth speaker on the ceiling to listen to music while relaxing in the tub or shower. On-site well and septic system with a new large water heater for those long hot showers or for that hot bath to relax in. The kitchen area has a full size refrigerator with freezer, stove/oven, microwave, toaster oven, toaster, crock pot, coffee maker, electric griddle, etc. Silverware, cutting knives, pots, pans, plates, bowls, cups, utensils are all included in your rental. The living area has a sectional couch with ottoman, and separate reclining chair all sitting around the wood fireplace. Wood is available if you get a cool evening and need to start a fire. Portable free standing electric heaters are also available to use if needed but usually not necessary during the summer. The living area has a 50” wall mount smart tv, and each of the downstairs bedrooms have a 43” wall mount smart tv. Cable television and internet are NOT yet available. A selection of dvds are available for use or you can stream onto the tv with your own device, bring your own movies, or entertainment system. Cell phone reception is usually decent with at&t, Verizon, t mobile from my experience. The enclosed porch is where you will find the 6-person dining table, a comfy couch with matching chair, and a pub table to enjoy the waterfront views of the lake. Also there is a big selection of board games available.
Outside you will find your own sandy beach area, 45’ dock to take you out on the water, a 2-person paddle boat, canoe, and 2 kayaks are included for your use. A fire pit is right on the waters edge for your pleasure. A stainless propane grill is available for your use. There is plenty of area to go exploring, walks, hikes, bike rides, etc. There is also sand pond which is right across the road from the driveway that has a public beach access area. There is usually plenty of wildlife around the lake, anything from the loons singing, to bald eagles, ducks, all kinds of birds, beavers, turtles, frogs, etc.
Locke Pond is a fun lake for recreation. Canoeing, paddle boating, swimming and fishing are just some of the possibilities of fun you can have. The lake is full of largemouth bass, yellow perch, white perch, chain pickerel, and sunfish. Locke Pond does NOT have any public boat ramps. Any type of boat, canoe, kayak that you can carry to the water is welcome. Please adhere to local and state boating and fishing regulations. There is a local corner store that has take out food, all of your convenience store items, and also live bait for fishing.
While being on the lake here in the western mountains of Maine, you are only 10-15 minutes away from Wilton & Farmington which hosts a bowling alley, movie theater, bars and restaurants, shopping, ice cream shops, coffee shops, golf courses and some of your large stores like Walmart, tractor supply, dollar store, big lots, etc.
Within an hour you have just about all that Maine has to offer. Whitewater rafting, hiking, game fishing, atv/side by side/dirt biking on the state trail system, sight seeing, whale watching, deep sea fishing, and of course, plenty of Lobster!
Beautiful Rangely Maine is about an hour away, bar harbor and Acadia national park is about a 2hr 45min drive, but well worth spending a day there! Boothbay, Portland, and so many others are nearby for day trips.
Currently we are asking guests to bring your own linens. If you need linens provided, we will assess on a case by case basis.
This is a rustic cabin on the lake and in the woods that provides a great experience of the Maine outdoors on a lake that has very few rental/vacation opportunities. Any further detailed information can be provided upon request.

Best spot on Locke pond. Lots of memories made with fishing, swimming and fishing.

Very happy with our stay except fishing was not what we had hoped for. Paddleboat was fun and we saw eagles, osprey and 6 loons in this little pond.

This is a great cabin on a quiet pond. The house is roomy and comfortable, the beds are nice. We saw bald eagles, osprey, and loons daily. The fishing is fabulous if you’re looking for large and small mouth bass and perch. The house comes with lots of both indoor and outdoor fun opportunities. We loved the porch and all the seating for meals. The fire pit is perfectly placed with plenty of available wood and seating. They also have a nice grill and a wonderful Blackstone which made outdoor cooking easy. This was great because the stove/oven struggled and there was no crock pot as expected (just the outer shell of one). When we arrived the grill was dirty, the Blackstone and cover were full of bacon grease and food pieces, and someone had thrown food in the woods. The fire pit wasn’t cleaned out and there were cobwebs in the kitchen. Not a huge deal for a lake cabin though a bit of a disappointing start. After spending an hour or so cleaning we were good to go. The owner’s Grandfather lives on the lake and came by to say hi and take us around on his pontoon boat. He was lovely and told us all about the history and homes there. Overall this was a lovely, peaceful retreat. Just needs a better cleaning crew.

Our family has stayed at Locke Ponde for several years in a row. This property has been consistently clean and full of many great amenities. The fishing is great and mostly enjoyed sitting on the new porch listening to the loons and birds singing. Already looking forward to returning.next year.

We loved our week vacation. The camp felt bigger than the pictures made it seem. It was a great layout for us. Kitchen, living room and the porch was the perfect play area and place to sit as a whole family. The beds weren't the comfiest but I'm not sure anything ever compares to your own bed. A little stuffy at times but to be expected with a camp south facing. The outdoor area was perfect for our little kids, the beach was the perfect place for them to wade in. We raked a bit and uncovered the owners weed mats in the water, these were great for walking when uncovered from muck. Tough again because the wind pushes everything in this side of the lake. Husband caught a lot of fish, we enjoyed nights by the fire and paddle boating during the day. It was the perfect getaway!

We loved our visit and the whole experience. The surrounding nature is gorgeous, and secluded. The cabin was clean and well-equipped. We would definitely stay again.

What a wonderful place to spend some time with family. We had our annual camping trip at this cabin with my brothers family and it was fantastic. Four kids ranging in age from 2-6 and they all had blast, spent lots of time fishing off the dock and playing in the paddle boat and kids kayak provided. Cabin was well equipped and ready for a full weekend. When we did run out of some essential supplies it was only an 18 minute drive to stores in Farmington. Highly recommend this spot and look forward to returning another year.

Lovely, quiet, cozy cabin retreat on water's edge. Breathtaking views of pond rimmed with trees and mountains on the horizon from inside the spacious & comfortable cabin porch.
Sunrise and sunset views on land and while kayaking... bring binoculars for spotting spectacular Loon sightings and songs. Lots of firewood provided for indoor and outdoor fires, incredibly starry night time sky.
This cabin has everything you need including a large entry way with benches and hooks for shoes & coats. The kitchen is open to the roomy living room area combined with a wood stove for inside fires in the evening. Great dvd movie collection for movie goers too.
We especially enjoyed the window wall that opened up the living room to the porch for lake view while inside. The porch is comfortable for relaxing, taking in the pond views and has a perfect table for games and gathering for meals.
Bedrooms and bathroom are clean and comfortable.
Our Host Corey was great! He took extra care with details about checking in & responded quickly to questions on message board.
We look forward to coming back next year for sure!

This cottage on Locke Lake was perfect for our family group of 4. This place is magical with its own private beach, canoe/kayaks, paddle boat surrounded by the exquisiteness of nature. The cottage was immaculate and beds comfortable . The host was available and very responsive. Thank you Corey for sharing such a beautiful place with us.

The 5 of us absolutely loved it here! Perfect place to recharge in Nature and get away from all the hustle and noise of the human world. Boys loved swimming, fishing and catching( and releasing) frogs and toads. I loved relaxing while floating on the water and watching the dragon flys and Loon family. Owner was great to correspond with and the camp came fully equipped and was very welcoming and comfortable. Camp is private and secluded and the pond is very quiet without much activity on it. Definitely will be coming back!

Great Time
What a great camp and very private too. The camp itself if well taken care of both indoors and out. If you are looking for fishing this is a wonderful pond for largemouth bass. But if you are just looking to relax, hang with family and take in the scenery, this is the spot.

Nice quiet location
We had a great time on the pond and surrounding area. The water was great and fishing even better. The enclosed porch area was nice and the lawn area had a tendency to be wet from being so close to pond. We enjoyed our stay. thanks,, bret
