Welcome to your new favorite cabin located in the popular Powder House Pass subdivision - On The Rocks. This custom cabin is located on a spacious corner lot, with multiple parking areas around the cabin and a drive-thru driveway great for trucks/trailers filled with those ATVs and Snowmobiles. Located in the heart of the recreational corridor of the Northern Black Hills, you'll have so many adventures right out your door. The Mickelson trail and ATV/snowmobile trails are within minutes from the cabin and easily accessible. Trail # 5 runs adjacent to the Powder House Pass subdivision making it very convenient. Looking for some sightseeing? Spearfish Canyon with its rim-rock canyon walls, streams and waterfalls, great rock climbing, hiking, and trout fishing are just a short 5-10 minutes away from the cabin. Deadwood is only 10 - 15 minutes away and there's taxi service to/from the cabin. Skiing at Terry Peak is within 10 minutes, and some of the main attractions of the Black Hills like Sylvan Lake, Mount Rushmore, Custer State Park, Needles Highway and more are all within an hour's drive. I think we'd all agree to stay there again and it was super nice, but it would have been nice to have like baggies, tin foil, a microwave that worked all the time, and enough dish soap, trash bags, dryer took forever to dry kept showing a error , ice machine in fridge stopped working.

I was initially concerned with all the rocks, but it turned out that it was a blessing. The littles would climb and have a great time like a new kind of jungle gym! Plus is was clean, the kitchen was fully stocked, and there were towels available for the hot tub. Recommend staying here. Perfect for families and kids!

Our group had 8 adults and 8 kids ranging in age from 8 months to 16. We cooked all our meals during 4 days and nights together. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pans, utensils and appliances. There is a second refrigerator in the garage which wasn't mentioned in the description, so that was a welcomed surprise. For some reason, the dishwasher didn't clean the dishes, so we learned to rinse them completely before loading. The property manager and owner were very responsive when questions arose. The hot tub was cloudy when we arrived, (because the chemicals were missing and were found buried under a snowbank from the recent snow.) The maintenance people came quickly to remedy the situation. Our kids loved the theatre room and the adults enjoyed the large dining room table for meals, puzzles and games. The cabin worked great for us and we'd recommend to others.

We stayed for a long weekend. It was only 3 of us, but it was set up for much larger groups -plenty of seating, plenty of parking! Beds are very comfortable, and we appreciated having use of the garage (with an opener!) during our stay. Our teenager liked the arcade, and we all liked the comfortable outdoor space and propane fire pit.

This home was the perfect place for our extended family getaway to the Black Hills. We had 6 adults and 9 kids. The 3 main bedrooms were ideal for 3 couples and the 2 bunk rooms were great for the kids. We loved the hot tub, theater/game room and the community club house pool! The house was clean and well stocked with supplies; towels, blankets, pillows, games, kitchen equipment, garbage bags, soap etc. The only issues we had was the internet did not work the first couple of days. They did send someone over to fix it on the second morning. Also we did run out of hot water one evening when everyone was needing to shower after a long day of hiking and swimming. The Powder House Pass subdivision is an amazing area! We would definitely stay here again!

We loved this property. The theatre & game room were excellent for the kiddos and we all enjoyed the hot tub. Our family did a lot of cooking while we were there. Our only complaint is that the knives are very dull. Overall, the stay was fantastic!

We had a great time. A portion of our party arrived before me. When they got to our rental the heat was not working. Budi made a quick assessment and got us a different cabin very quickly. This cabin was the new cabin.It’s beautiful and was perfect for our bachelorette weekend. Thank you for taking care of us.

The property itself was very beautiful but we had some problems. A lot of dishes in the kitchen were in the cupboards still dirty. There was dust and cobwebs that should not have been there considering how much the cleaning fee was. We had no wifi. The property manager was slow in dealing with this, however the owner did show up to try and take care of the issue. Turns out the provider had cut a line and it wouldn't be fixed until Monday. The TV in the living room did not work at all. The hot tub was dirty and there was thick ice on the path to the tub.

There is a pool in the neighborhood that the kids went to and loved. The hot tub was so relaxing and enjoyable for evenings or mornings. We did smores on the gas fire pit and was able to grill/prep all of our meals in the large kitchen. Everyone in my family was extremely happy and impressed with the VRBO I had found, it was the talk of the week.

Beautiful home, great location. Beds are very comfortable with nice linens and there are a lot of towels for multiple people. Large kitchen table and a very well stocked kitchen. Very responsive to any questions we had or anything we needed. The basement setup with the theater seating and video game and game tables was a big hit for our family. Our only "complaint" is the basement area is a lot cooler than the upstairs, we wished it had a fireplace to take the chill out. Overall an excellent home to rent for your next family get together.

I want to say that we did have a great trip overall! The house is large enough for a big group to comfortably spread out, make meals, watch movies etc. The kids especially enjoyed the theatre seats for watching movies. The property is in a housing development which does have advantages but does not give that being out in the hills secluded feel like some cabins we have stayed at. The cabin is fully stocked with kitchen appliances, towels, games etc. The biggest issue we had was with the hot tub. There was no supplies to check the levels, there was one small unmarked bottle of chemicals next to the hot tub for our stay of 5 days. When I called to inquire I was told that everything was good to go with the hot tub and there was nothing we needed to do. However anyone who has used or owned a hot tub before knows that it cannot be used for a couple days without levels being checked and balanced. So even though we followed all their instructions the Hot tub maintenance guy had to come out and drain it in the middle of our stay because clearly it had not been taken care of correctly before our stay started. Overall we enjoyed our stay but based on our experience with the property management company compared to others in the area we would most likely not use them again.
