We really enjoyed our stay at The Lookout. The house fit our needs perfectly. We had 10 in our group. The adults stayed upstairs and the adult children stayed downstairs. With the layout of the house, they were able to stay up later, watch tv, play pool, etc and we were never disturbed by noise. With two kitchens, they had the ability to prepare food at any hour. The house has 5 full bathrooms which is a huge plus with a big group! Plenty of parking for our vehicles and boat trailer. It really is like having two houses in one! Communication with the host was always very prompt. We will stay again!

Great house and location, my family had a great time

We had a wonderful time at The Lookout. We liked the space of the house and the great outside areas.
The kitchens and bathrooms were well equipped and the bedrooms and living areas were well furnished.
The stove on the 2nd floor has burners that don't work and the shower in the master bathroom needs a thorough scrubbing, especially around the inside and outside of the door.
The staff was very dependable and cordial.
Thank you.

We had a wonderful stay. The Hosts were exceptional with communication and assisted with any questions we had in a timely manor. Fully loaded house and plenty of space and bathrooms for our gang. The water was plenty deep and lots of fun and swimming to be had and boating to be had. The QR code as you enter the house had most of the answers to any questions and assisted in unlocking the house and neighborhood boat ramp. There was plenty of space across the street for parking and to include have a place for our boat trailer. Would stay here again 100%.

Check in was simple and there was a ton of space in the house. The two living rooms and two kitchens made everything super easy for our large group of guys to have a great weekend

We take a family trip every year picking different locations every time and by far this location has been our favorite. We had a toddler, teenagers, young adults, and grandma in our group. Everyone had enough space to do there own thing and also room for all to get together for games and meals. The views are amazing, everyone had a great time.

Overall we had a great time. Plenty of space. House is right on the water which was perfect.

The house was the perfect size and room organization worked very well for the group we had. With a couple of late teens in the game room, a couple of snorers in the private queen bed room, a recently engaged pair and a preteen in the 2nd floor master with trundle and everyone else evenly spread out amongst the rooms, everyone had the privacy and grouping we wished. The boat lift, boat tie off at the dock and a jet ski slip worked well, as that was exactly the number of water crafts we had. The gradual aluminum stairs into the water made easy entry and exit to the water for a couple of us that were less than athletic or with a bum knee.
The First floor kitchen worked very well as the primary kitchen, allowing the second floor kitchen refrigerator for additional food storage.
The boat ramp was literally 'two doors' down, so easy access.
When we return to LBJ in the future, this house will be our first choice to stay!

The house was perfect for the extended family. It really is like having 2 houses in one. The 2 kitchens gave the freedom to cook at whatever time. The teenagers had the freedom to play video games til late without bothering everyone else. We were right on the water and parking was great in front of the house and across the street and the cars had plenty of shade. The neighborhood was very peaceful. We had a very positive experience and really enjoyed our stay.

Family 👪 all enjoying the home. Your home had accommodations for everyone.

My girls golf team rented this property during the girls state golf tournament. We enjoyed our stay. The girls enjoyed learning how to play pool. Only negative is bathrooms need a little updating, especially the one upstairs with the single shower. Overall stay was great. Easy in and out.

Aside from a few things that i wouldn't hold against the owner. Our family had an event at this property that was perfect for plenty of space for all ages. I would suggest the cleaning crew needs to step up there game. Two of the upstairs Bathrooms had old hairy soap from previous renters, I understand being on the lake you get more insects but there was cobwebs and spiderwebs on inside walls and window seals and when adjusting the blinds to allow natural light and views of the lake would put off a flume of dust when adjusting blinds. Thats it, otherwise great stay lovely sunsets over the lake, would definitely consider coming back in the summer to be able to use all the amenities this house could offer. I would have one suggestion a gas fire pit on the top deck in the cooler months would've been great!

Had 4 individual families stay and everyone was able to congregate but also could retreat when needed to take care of young children. I recommend for any large get together. Had access to boat and jet ski rentals. Melody either answered or returned all my phone calls to help set up the entire weekend

Very comfortable stay!
We enjoyed our stay. The deck gives a spectacular view on the sunset. We did a few things that we have addressed with the management. Some fixtures need to be renewed, but we were glad we found this huge house for all our family.

Great place to stay
We enjoyed our stay. There was lots of room for the whole family. Kitchen supplies were good. The view is incredible.
The kitchen tables and chairs upstairs seated about 16 or more and that's where we had our Thanksgiving meal.
Only negative is two of the chairs broke when you sat in them. They definitely need new chairs upstairs.

Layout of this house has a two house layout in 1. Amazing for 2 families or one large one. Perfect amount of space, very easy check in, and the Outside oasis was incredible! Most of the time was spent outside and swimming in the lake, the dock was such a great place to spend time with family and swim, highly recommended and will return in the near future.

A Relaxing Stay on the Lake
We enjoyed a great family stay here to begin the new year. The property is the true definition of a lake-house as it sits directly on Lake LBJ. Location is everything here. The huge two-story dock/deck overlooking the lake is the jewel of the property.. We enjoyed breakfast, lunch and evening sunsets right outside each day. We even got in some fishing right from the dock what a convenience.
The neighborhood is nice and quiet. Some areas of the home are more updated than others, but the listing photos are accurate and the home is very clean and spacious. It offers 2 full kitchens and living rooms—which really make it 2 homes in one. It would be perfect for large groups or multiple families traveling together. There are so many beds in the home, our kids had a hard time choosing a room. In addition, the home is nicely stocked with most things you would need or find in your own home. We didn’t have to purchase anything but groceries during our stay.
Communication with the property manager and owner was great, and the information they provide help make for an easy stay. The property is also near several wineries and less than a 1-hour drive to Fredericksburg.

Couldn't be any closer to the water
Great location, lots of space, definitely a lake house. Weather didn't cooperate, but still had great time being on the water.

Very nice house. Gorgeous sunsets of the lovely deck. Well stocked, clean sheets and towels, comfortable beds. The property management firm was very responsive to any queries we had. Only wish was that it would have been nice to have a few adult kayaks. The home had 2 kid kayaks, paddle boards and a very large multi-person kayak but that one seemed to have 2 holes in it.

The property is large and has a wonderful amount of rooms and is nicely situated on the lake. The children loved the lake. The house was advertised as wheelchair accessible that was the main reason we rented it. My mother was limited to the downstairs area. She couldn’t enjoy the lake because the porch was pulling away from the house and tilting towards the lake. The bathrooms were not wheelchair accessible. There were issues with cleanliness. There were spiders in the corners and ants in the kitchen. The beds are in rough shape and some of the bedding had stains on it. Loved the lake but was very uncomfortable in the house.
4.7
Very friendly owners and property manager. Helpful with questions and issues.
We loved our stay. Huge place that easily sleeps 12-15 people. Not cramped on sofa beds like many places are. Right on water is great. Boat to rent worked great and was easy to use. Most life jackets seemed small for children. Since we had 11 adults we had to find other life jackets. Canoe has hole in it so unusable. House has 2 kitchens and 2 living rooms which is great for our group! House is dated with small bathrooms, closets and showers. Shower heads don't supple a lot of water. Some showers with hairs on walls, and bugs in showers and rooms. But to some degree understandable being right on the water which attracts more insects. Only 1 mile into town for groceries, restaurants and other needs was great. Would definitely stay here again.

This property has at all: living rooms upstairs and downstairs, two kitchens, bedrooms with plenty of beds for everyone plus a very fun bunk room for the grandkids. Our family with young children slept downstairs and were awake with the early crowd for breakfast. We really enjoyed eating meals on the very large outdoor patio overlooking the lake.. It was nice to have an table umbrella for those wanting to be out of the sun. Plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms and a laundry room upstairs and downstairs. We rented the couple’s boat for two days, and enjoyed our time on the water. Great people to rent from. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
