Check in was very easy the place was exactly as mentioned. I was in contact with Rick before and during our stay. He was very quick to respond. We had a power outage due to weather and he always kept us updated to the best of his ability. If we get to come back to this area I will definitely rebook here. Also the views were amazing very beautiful piece of property. It was only a few miles from grocery stores or anything you will need

Great Family House
Our family really enjoyed our stay at this property. The property was fun for the kids to explore and the back patio had great views of the sunset from the jacuzzi. We watched wild turkeys in the yard each morning. The kitchen was well stocked for making meals. We played pool and games that the house had. Oakhurst is a charming little town with lots of good spots to eat. The drive into town is only about 5 minutes from the house. We visited Bass Lake and Yosemite easily from the area. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet, which we appreciated. Rick was easy to communicate with and he made check in very simple. Thank you!

Nice quiet location and a good relaxing place for family. Spectacular sun rise, sun set views. We have lots of pictures taken. The floor could have used a little more throughout cleaning. Other than that, we had good time!

Pros: beautiful views, spacious, kitchen well stocked
Cons: listed as sleeps up to 15 and lake house on 5 acres but vehicles limited to 3 max and no boat parking this is disclosed 1 day before check in and we reserved 8 months in advance. We did plan on bringing a boat and had to discuss this and ask approval from host at last minute. One of my other siblings surprises us by also bringing their boat and I was pretty much terrified the entire weekend that we would be fined although there was plenty of space for it. The hot tub was not enjoyed; water was milky looking and lots of bugs. House was not clean despite paying large cleaning fee we had to vacuum and sweep dead and living bugs all
Over the house including the couches. The blinds are mostly broken and also have thick dust/grime/bugs. Two showers have issues one shower head doesn’t stay up you have to hold it and the other bathtub backs up which is rather disgusting to stand in previous visitors bath water. Most disturbing issue is the first night it was about 10:40 I received a text from the host to turn down the radio on the back patio due to noise complaints from neighbors. It was four adults catching up with an iPhone playing some music on level 8 on a five acre property. Seemed really unreasonable that a neighbor could hear us when the other adults could not hear us inside the same house. The only explanation we could come to was that the host was checking in on one of the ring cameras set up in the area. There is a quiet time beginning at 10pm which includes no hot tub after that time. We were being respectful of the rules but felt very violated actually and uncomfortable the rest of our visit. There was also the white truck with the man hanging out on the property which I have recently seen mentioned in other reviews on other booking sites. He seems friendly and says hello but again it’s uncomfortable because who is he and why is he just checking everything out? We had children playing around the house and to have a man just sitting there in his truck on the property and walking around without introducing himself was uncomfortable. I do have photos if I am able to post them I will.

This was a trip. We had a half marathon scheduled the following day. Checkin was at 4pm, we communicated with each other the day before. We asked about early checkin, there was a fee so we waited before we could checkin at a regular time. There were so many rules and regulations, they were strict about it and impose fees if not met. It’s just ridiculous that they ask that but then was unreachable when we couldn’t get in the property. We entered the code they supplied, we even have a video putting it in to show that it doesn’t work in case they fight us for a refund. We called and texted the owner multiple times that afternoon - around 5pm. Nothing! Only texted back the following day, while I was running the half marathon. It’s amazing how we fully paid months in advance, only to find this. Hotels were fully booked. Luckily, our friends found a different property in a different part of town that took us, which is not in this platform. VRBO customer service couldn’t reach the hosts either, they tried two numbers. The customer service was such a headache too. I had to call about 10 times. The line would get cut, hangup, transferred to another department and cut. It was too much and I had to worry about a place to stay for our group and our race. So, think again if you want to book this property. They issued a full refund of course, the following day which is to be expected. But I love how VRBO was saying (as a disclaimer) that it is not guaranteed to get a full refund when I asked to start the process of requesting one. Just icing on the cake! Good luck, VRBO and this property.
Oh yeah, there’s a ring camera facing the hot tub. Very very interesting.

Beautiful and comfortable stay
The property was easy to get to, the road leading to it is new. The check in process was easy with lock code. The house itself was very nice, clean and had some amazing views from almost all rooms. The backyard is very pretty with views all around. There are some swings and a hammock too for some fun. We used the pool table and hut tub as well. Cooked a meal and the kitchen was well-stocked. Overall very positive experience and would love to stay again when visiting Yosemite and Bass Lake. The town, grocery stores and restaurants are within 10 mins driving distance and lake is 20 mins from the property, very convenient.
