About this house rental

Situated on 2 acres, there is plenty of green space, peace, and quiet. Have your own private park-like environment yet be so close to downtown, UF, and recreational trails and parks. We have a ping-pong table, sauna, rowing machine, basic exercise equipment, small pond, outdoor firepit, fruit trees, and blueberry bushes. The interior of the home has 1508 square feet of air-conditioned living space plus a 200 square foot attached laundry room. **We cannot accept stays longer than 29 days** - Please be mindful of noise and respectful to our neighbors. There is a 10 pm noise curfew in the neighborhood. Neighbors may call local law enforcement if noise levels are excessive after hours. - Smoking of any kind is not permitted inside or outside of the home. Smoking will result in a $1,000 fee. - Unauthorized pets will result in a $500 fee per pet. - Unauthorized guests will result in a $500 fee per guest per night. - We do not permit parties or gatherings at the home. Parties and gatherings will result in a $2,000 fee in addition to the unauthorized guest fees and immediate cancellation of your reservation with an escort off of the property by law enforcement. We have a Ring doorbell camera on the front door facing outside, a Ring stick-up camera above the door looking over the entryway, and a Ring stick-up camera outside the storage room door looking towards the firepit and carport.

My family and I went to visit during family weekend. The owner was super responsive and eager to answer any questions. I wouldn’t stay there again. Not a great neighborhood and the place could’ve been cleaner. The owner was great!

This was a clean spacious property. It was just right for my wife and I and kids and relatives to stay over in the Gainesville area. It is an older home, but the host has done a really good job cleaning it up and making it nice with all the amenities you could want. We love the ping-pong table when you first walk in. Would stay there again.

Location is misleading, once on property it was very nice and comfortable. The master bedroom and bathroom has no air conditioning vented so you must keep the master bedroom door open in order for it to cool off which it did quite nicely. Overall very satisfied with this home.

Clean large property. Was perfect for our visit. Had our dogs with us so the yard was perfect. Great weekend to go watch Gator baseball.

We found exactly what we had hoped for: serenity! The property was an easy drive to shopping and dining, but felt so remote once back at “home”. Our dogs settled in quickly and were only excited by the occasional neighboring cat or local wildlife passing through the yard. We also found items available that we’d forgotten, saving us a run/expense to the store. We truly hope to stay again soon, as it’s one of the best experiences we have had while traveling with our pets, THANK YOU!

My family and I truly enjoyed our stay. Maria was extremely prompt and responsive with my questions regarding our pets. The house was well stocked with paper goods, towels and toiletries. We brought our own groceries and I was extremely grateful to whomever left coffee in the pantry because I had forgotten to bring some :-). The infrared sauna was in good working order. The beds and the living room couch were comfy. Suggestion for improvement would be for the yard to be fully gated so that Dogs could have room to run and to keep out any loose dog from the neighbors down the road.

The floors were dirty - feet were black if you walked bare foot dish towels and sponge smelled Master bedroom was very warm Fire left in fire pit neighbors had a a huge noisy fight and police were called

We only stayed one night. The house is was very cute and comfortable. The yard was big enough for the kids to run off energy. The game room and master (king) room doesn’t have air conditioning. But there is a fan provided. If I’m ever traveling through again, I will stay there!

Location was good but I thought with 2 acres there would be no neighbors or at least not so close. It was pleasant though. The house was very cute and spacious. I was concerned about all the fire ant hills in the yard. All in all, we enjoyed our stay. 😊

Maria was responsive and super easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay. The place was an easy drive to campus. Loved the extras, like toys for the kids, full kitchen stocked with all that was needed. The only thing we couldn’t find was the TV remote and frankly that wasn’t as bad thing…. More family time. Thank you!!!

We stayed at this unit last weekend and where very disappointed. The following is a summation of what we sent the owner on the day we were leaving. It was family weekend for UF and due to that, we would have had to move 45 minutes away from this place or pay 600-800 per night locally. As you know, we started off not getting in until 7:30 because the cleaning person was late (or according to her, not told about it until late afternoon). She didn’t finish the laundry, so we had to wait until the dryer was done to make a bed and have towels (four towels for the entire place) that supposedly houses ten people. They are also stained. The light where the washer and dryer (this is an attached separate structure with stairs) doesn’t work properly so we had to use our flashlight to see what was happening. The AC doesn’t work throughout the entire house. No duct in the main bedroom. We had to crank it down to 67 degrees which made it freezing in the other bedrooms just to make it bearable in the master. The owner is aware of this issue and has a fan in the room to try and help the situation. The refrigerator is dirty. The fans are covered in dust. The garbage pail is broken in the kitchen. The ice machine doesn’t work in the refrigerator. Had to buy ice. And finally, the neighborhood. Your home is off a dirt road in a trailer park. You have a neighbor with a dog who barks all night long. Your description says it’s rural, but this is a trailer park in a neighborhood that doesn’t appear safe.
