Fun comes easily at this charming home by the bay! Built in 1946, this lovely home is stocked with A DVD library, a VHS library, the necessary players, and a Blu-Ray player for anything you bring from home. That's to say nothing of the board games and the round table in the breakfast nook perfect for tabletop gaming - not least because of the lovely view! Indeed, you can enjoy a view of the bay and harbor from several locations inside or outside on the deck. You'll enjoy cooking together in the expansive full kitchen, which includes a prep island and plenty of stone countertop space. The downstairs workspace can function as a command center, or guests with remote work or schooling can use it (and the upstairs desk workspace!) to finish things up before heading to the beach.
The bedrooms of this home are all spread out, perfect for groups looking to enjoy their own space and come together to have fun. The first bedroom is to the right when you come through the door and is right next to this floor's living room. This room features a backyard view and has a full bathroom with a shower/tub combination just next door. Head down the stairs off the living room and the second bedroom (with a hillside view) will be straight ahead. Across the way, the third bedroom (the main bedroom of the home) features a lovely modern sleigh bed, a backyard view, a spacious closet, and a spacious en suite bathroom with two vanity spaces, a jetted tub, a standalone shower, and a direct entrance to the hall. Two flights up, the fourth bedroom is to the left (across its own small hallway segment). Past the lovely reading nook, the fifth bedroom features a sleigh bed, desk workspace, and a front yard view. The half bathroom just next door can serve the guests of this room.

This house was perfect for our employee getaway.

Such a cute house, in a nice quiet area (besides the Sea Lions which were fun to hear). The couch cushions wouldn't stay on when even barely used and the big glass hutch in the corner could probably use an anchor to the wall, it's kind of scary for those of us with toddlers and little kids. Overall I definitely recommend this place, we will for sure be back!

Nice quiet location, beautiful views (loved the dining area!), and nice bedrooms. We had a pleasant, comfortable stay.

Got off to a bit of a rough start when they wouldn't let us check in until after 6 pm. Not what you want when you've been driving all day and the shops in town close at 5pm. But after that, it was a wonderful vacation. Plenty of room in the house. A beautiful location. The view from the dining room was breath taking.
You should be forewarned that the sea lions do like to "talk" loudly to each other all day and all night. Didn't bother us any, but if you are noise sensitive, you might want earplugs or a white noise machine at night. :)

We absolutely loved staying here. It was a great location with amazing view. We loved being so close to the bay front. There was plenty of room for everyone and the home was nicely equipped. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.

This was our 2nd year at Blue Heron Bluff with 8 adults and a couple small ones and it did not disappoint! We love the huge kitchen table that holds all of us and view is AMAZING. The kitchen as well is plenty large with an assortment of pots/pans/etc. We were happy to find that there was plenty of dishwasher soap and paper towels for our 4 night stay. The 3 stories gave us plenty of room to spread out. Also very glad to see new patio chairs as the weather was amazing!
The key pad was a tad difficult to use when locking up.
The couch and love seat have been well used, as can be expected. One could loose a small child in them as the seats were no longer strong. And that is the ONLY complaint we had.
We definitely will be renting again as it met all our needs, and we are a very particular group.
Thank you home owners for sharing your place with us. We tried to leave it as clean as we found it.

Everything we needed. Great place

We were booked at this spot because the place we had reserved was suddenly unavailable. We usually stay at Nye Beach but we found the location and view of the bay delightful!
Easily walkable, great view of the working waterfront and the bridge, and blocks away from shopping and amenities.
We saw reviews that complained about the noise from the sea lions and that was an issue but we had no trouble sleeping or conversing. The home was well designed, had great amenities, comfortable beds, fully stocked kitchen, and great views! We had a lovely time and we’re happy to see another side of Newport!
The Vacasa staff were very helpful as we dealt with rebooking and some snafus.

Great view and great location. If you don't mind the short hill, it's a nice walk to the waterfront. The house is comfy and plenty of room for everyone. Thank you for the enjoyable stay!

We had a wonderful stay. It is very private. They did have chairs on the deck and bluff. I wouldn't recommend this for small children, lots of stairs and no fence.

You can hear the sea lions barking day and night-we loved it, even when they woke us up at night.
Our second stay here and hopefully not our last. Beautiful older home works well for us.
Hopefully owners will find someone other than vacasa to manage the listing. Too expensive for too little. No to early check-in as the guy driving the new Jaguar was not finished until a couple of minutes after 4. Little glass beads all over the floor in one of the bedrooms. Breeze in dining room was finally revealed to be two windows left open and inch or so. Then vacasa wants a 10:00 check out in the morning, and tries to encourage you to leave earlier. Boo vacasa.

We had 9 family members in the house. All were able to have their own rooms. My mom isn't able to get around very easily so her and my step dad were able to use the room on the main floor which was great. Love the view of the harbor. The only thing I would say that is missing from the property is a nice grill or charcoal grill of some sort. We bought a small one and left it there for the next people. Great stay and I would highly recommend it!

Lovely home and property. Had everything we needed to feel at home. We were amazed by the 180 degree view of the bay. Great place for a relaxing family getaway!

Great big house for family gatherings!

House was comfortable & clean. Sugar ants stormed out of living room floor vent, but nothing vacuum couldn’t handle. Patio chairs would have been nice, as well as stools for the kitchen island. We were a party of 8 with two toddlers. Our headcount should have been reflected in house supplies; we ran out of dishwasher tabs & garbage bags. Things to note: bottom drawer of dishwasher has broken racks so plates collapse; dishwasher not secured to cabinet & tips out; kitchen lazy Susan cupboard unusable because shelves are not secured; main floor bathtub is clogged.

Let your guests know of the loud returning male
Sea Lions that come to hang on the docks below the house and bark 24 hrs a day. It’s fun during the day but it gets old at night. You might suggest ear plugs.

I brought over a group of employees to fish and hangout for a three day vacation. Everyone had their own space to sleep and very comfortable beds. Great dinning room with exceptional harbor and bridge views, especially at night! Super close to harbor front street with cool shops and great food! “Local Ocean” restaurant is also top notch! I plan on bringing my family back soon!

Thie older house sits above the harbor with a great view of the harbor. You are serenaded 24 hours a day by the sea lions two blocks below you, they are quite loud.
The charming, older house has been carefully updated and is wonderful. 5 bedrooms on 3 levels; an amazing dining area with colorful high ceiling, round table and wonderful view of the harbor makes for a warm and inviting atmosphere.

Was very nice but we where playing games in the front room with doors open because it was very warm out and the neighbor walks in like he owns the house we told him to leave and it took a little to get him out scared the women that where there and then he came by next night to had to tell him to not to come back and also looking at us through fence kind of a creeper 🤪and the management did not do a single thing about it but other than that it was a great weekend

Great Location being close to the New Port Harbor. Only two major requests for improvements. Home needs a large cutting board and the back deck needs 4 not broken chairs. I don’t know if there is a reason but a outside bar b q would of been nice. Regardless I would stay there again before I looked for a different home. Great stay thank you.

Beautiful house, beautiful view, plenty of room for 10, good amenities, and a convenient location to walk down to the historic bayfront (though a steep walk, so maybe not for everyone). Only suggestion might be to provide a couple spare blankets. We'd definitely stay here again!

This house is a gem! We love Newport and always look forward to our drive from Southern California to the Oregon coast. Blue Heron Bluff gave us a magnificent view of the harbor and was an enjoyable morning walk down to town. The architecture of the house is amazing and there was plenty of room for everyone. Our grandkids loved playing outside in the spacious yards, lots of nooks and crannies to explore. We’ll definitely be back!

I loved that there was a gorgeous view. There are two andirondeck chairs sitting at the top of the bluff. When I got closer I realized that they were rotted, with tons of lichen growing on them. The arm pieces are resting on the seat. Why not have usable chairs there? Same with the deck chairs. Put plastic chairs out that don't have broken arms. The windows with screens are painted shut but there are screens at the bottom of the 2nd linen closet upstairs. We didn't discover that and had to get a breeze by leaving our windows open and dealing with insects and spiders. Also finally found a fan in the bottom desk drawer on the last day. There is a lovely kitchen that is great to cook in, and a nice dining room with a beautiful view. There are no labels anywhere and 1/2 the drawers are empty, so it can be challenging to find and put things away. This is a great house, and with a little consideration is could be an amazing place to stay.

Great time!
Loved our stay - great location and house was wonderful! Spacious for our group of 5, clean, comfortable with a well stocked kitchen. The sea lions were loud one night but not as loud the rest of the week. Our teens enjoyed walking to Nye beach for cafes, shopping and the awesome Coast park.

Wonderful view of the Newport Bridge and bay
We really enjoyed this house. It has a great lay-out. The bedrooms seem very private. Lots of space, and great views. Great for a group of 4+ couples (one of the bedrooms has a double bed, which would be very cozy for a couple).

A wonderful space for our big family. We will be back!
This house has the perfect layout for our large family. Lots of room for little ones to play while the adults enjoyed time of visiting around the table. The view was more wonderful that we had any right to expect, and we enjoyed the deer wandering through the yard while the sea lions barked bellow.

Our family of five adults had a wonderful time in this large house. We loved the views of Yachina Bay Bridge and the lovely garden around the house. The location was great, just a short walk from the historic bayfront and a slightly longer walk to Nye Beach. We appreciated the eclectic decor (we loved the dragonfly stained glass lamp in the living room) and unusual color scheme. The kitchen was well equipped with pots, pans, utensils and some staples like oil, sugar and spices. The master suite with its jetted tub and shower and large dressing closet was terrific. We didn’t use them, but one closet had a nice collection of games. Our family of five had everything we needed, but a larger group might be short plates and dining room chairs. It would have been nice to have a table and chairs for eating outside. And the bedrooms all have just one night table/lamp.Newcomers to Newport should know that the sea lions bark ALL NIGHT LONG. We rather enjoyed the sound and we made several visits to the docks where they hang out to watch them, but be forewarned if you’re a light sleeper. Check in and checkout were a breeze. We would love to return to this comfortable house!
