Treetops Cottage is located in the private community of Riverbend in beautiful Lake Lure NC. Set in the foot hills of the blue ridge mountains, the cottage is nestled on a three acre lot of hardwood forest with most trees surpassing 60 feet tall. You will see plenty of maples, oaks, poplars, sour wood, cedars, pines and Mountain Laurel (a wild bush that burst into flowers during spring time). The wrap around deck has gates at all exits which is a great safety feature for small children and inquisitive pets.
Located in Riverbend, a gated community, you will have access to a private beach where you can enjoy swimming, canoeing or a have a picnic next to the beach. There also picnic areas next to the Broad River, waterfall, swimming hole and nature trails.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Treetop. The entire experience was amazing! The cottage was clean, comfortable, and adorably cozy. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming. They provided so much information about nearby amenities and were always available for our needs. I will highly recommend for anyone looking to get away!!

This is a wonderful vacation rental. The home is very well stocked, very clean and quite cozy. The wrap around porch is so relaxing, and it was nice to know our dogs were safe and secure hanging on the porch. The host was very responsive and provided very clear, detailed instructions. Our family of 4 had a great time!

For our family reunion, we rented this home and another larger and more expensive one just around the corner and within walking distance. No comparison this cottage was far superior in all ways; cleaner, better layout, nicer accommodations, 100% on contact with host. Until we saw both homes, we assumed most of our times would be spent in the larger of the two. We ended up at this cottage exclusively except for sleeping. Everyone wants to return again!

Beds and living room were comfortable, plenty of room to spread out or take a few minutes to yourself - depending on who you are staying with....haha! LOVED the wrap around, fully enclosed deck. Part of the deck is covered with a tin roof and was lovely to sit under during the rain. We didn't get to use the fire pit area because we were in height of summer but it looks very inviting. Roughly 15-20 mins from Lake Lure/grocery store/Chimney Rock which we didn't mind at all. We also used the private beach inside River Bend. It was clean and easy to access - BTW, you get to the beach from entrace where you dispose trash. Threre are plenty of linens, blankets, pillows, etc. Definitely recommend!

We had a great stay at Treetops cottage. We found all the necessities for a family, well stocked kitchen and bathrooms, games and great outdoor spaces. The condo's lake and river access are a great daily activity, bring your paddleboard or canoe! Enjoy your stay in the NC mountains at this great family cabin.

The house was spotless and comfortable for our family of 6. We especially loved how dog-friendly it was for our two labs. We cooked daily and used the grill, and we appreciated the extras in the kitchen that we didn’t have to buy, like olive oil and salt and pepper. The kitchen is small but I loved that it was central to the house. The property is in a gated neighborhood that is quiet and peaceful, and the wraparound porch allows you to enjoy the sights and sounds of nature (including several deer every day). The hosts were very communicative and quick to respond to questions. No complaints! Side note (not a complaint against the host, just a heads up for future renters)- the shampoo and conditioner that are provided are hotel-size, so if you’ll be staying for several days or have a family, bring some of your own. Also, there is only one dishwasher pod provided, so bring some of those too! These may have been specified in the listing, but I missed it. We would definitely come back to Treetops Cottage!

This home Provides Peace and Serenity. The home was clean and cozy. All the essentials were provided plus the complimentary coffee and teas were a splendid surprise.
We saw many deer around the home. The back porch was a great place to relax.

We enjoyed our stay, the house was clean and way nicer than any expensive hotel or luxury resort. The neighborhood was quiet and very safe, there’s so many things to do close by and the best part is there’s no commercialization big box stores or fast food only small businesses the backbone of America. The owners respond very quickly for any questions you may have just an overall great experience. Thank you I’ve already recommended your house to friends and family.

Spacious & beautifully updated cottage that was super clean. Our dogs LOVED the wrap around porch & we had peace of mind being able to relax & hang out outside without them wandering off. The host is really easy to communicate with & responds quickly to messages. This was a great place!

We absolutely loved this property. It is minutes away from everything Lake Lure, Chimney Rock and the area have to offer and was an amazing place to work remote! Peaceful, Clean and just had everything you could need. We loved this property and as we build our own in the same amazing community of Riverbend, we hope to be able to stay again soon!!! Very grateful for the amazing host who was also very communicative and friendly!! and for someone with no pets...you could never tell there were pets there! Super Super clean! 5 stars

I enjoyed my stay. The fact that you responded so quickly to any correspondence was so appreciated. Some utensils can be updated to new, filter replacement on refrigerator, and offer of fire starter with the fire wood would be helpful. Toilet paper was the worst. Very thin and scratchy. 😉 Great place to relax during the Winter months!!

I really appreciate when a property delivers on what is stated in the listing. It was clean, easy to get to and what our family needed. We spent time going between Lake Lure, Asheville and Hendersonville and the roads offered several ways to get there.
The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal or bring back take out. The beds were very comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with toiletries as if you were at a hotel. We didn’t use the fire pits but did enjoy cornhole and the grill. YouTube tv worked well.
The only thing I would change is to have a king in the master.

We came up for a short trip with our pup and it was everything we were looking for. Beautiful, quiet and peaceful with all the amenities that you could need. Lots of wildlife seen from deer to cottontail bunnies and bear. The house is cozy and you do feel like you are in the trees which is magical. It was a wonderful getaway and we hope to go back some day soon.

Lovely home, very clean, hosts are super responsive, lots of thoughtful details like labels on things, cute rolled bath towels, high-quality toilet paper, and a bottle of wine and coozies for guests. I was pleasantly surprised by how clean the house was since it’s pet-friendly. It was wonderful to be able to bring our dogs! The queen bed in primary room has a nice topper and is very comfortable - with a great view of the trees through the sliding glass doors. The full beds in the other room are very firm, though. Kitchen was small but well stocked and even had a number of spices and olive oil. The gravel roads getting into the neighborhood are steep and curvey but our minivan could handle it even in summer rain. Great stay overall!

We love Treetops Cottage!!
We (and our dogs) had a wonderful time staying at Treetops Cottage. The cottage is on a quiet street with a few other neighbors. There is room to walk dogs. The owner is very responsive if you have any questions. The amenities at Riverbend are definitely a plus! It was great to have access to a private lake to float around in our inter tubes and noodles. The owners have a canoe available for guests. There is also a nature trail with a waterfall and a swimming hole for people and dogs. Visiting Chimney Rock, taking a boat tour around Lake Lure and learning it’s history, taking a trail ride at Cedar Creek Stables and ziplining at Canopy Ridge were some of the highlights of our trip. Our favorite restaurants were La Strada and The Lakehouse Bar and Grill. We highly recommend staying at Treetops Cottage.

Beautiful natural location
We had a great week at Treetops Cottage. Beautiful location, feels like you are in the trees. Nice quiet neighborhood. Saw deer, wild turkeys, and one bear (from a safe distance). Enjoyed the small lake and tubing in the river within Riverbend. Lots of family activities nearby at Lake Lure and Chimney rock. Hosts were very responsive and provided great hospitality.

Lovely cottage
A beautiful cottage tucked away amongst nature, felt as if we were in a treehouse. Very clean & cozy. Our goldendoodle puppy & 2 boys had a blast playing on the wraparound gated porch. Looking forward to our next stay. A great getaway location.

Just Right!
Very comfortable. Clean, efficient... met our basic need for two sleeping quarters and two bathrooms w/showers. Beautiful location among the treetops, with deer wandering through the yard daily. Porch with rockers was a nice place to relax. Kitchen had all the basics. Owners were very responsive and kind.

Weekend Trip
Great spot for a weekend. Even had a Christmas tree set up for us! Fireplace and deck were perfect spot to relax! We could not find any additional paper towels or counter cleaning supplies but overall it was great!

Overall it was disappointing.
Very dated/ cheaply furnished.
The decor was impersonal and really non existent.
Neither bathtub drained properly ( which was gross)
Glass sliding doors were hard to open/close and dirty.
No dishwasher.
The bifold laundry doors came off of track every time they were opened.
Trim in house should be painted.
Master bath needs updating.
Furniture facing away from the very small/ old tv.
Not conducive to walking pets/ having very little options for potty breaks.
Back yard should be picked up and kept free of debris.
Pros:
Nice wrap around porch and good amount of games for kids.
Good water.

Workcation Dogcation
This was the perfect place to get away still while having a busy work week. Worked remotely with beautiful scenery and enjoyed the comfort of the cottage. The place had everything a vacationer needs and was well stocked! Owners were spot on for communication and instruction. Definitely recommend a stay here! Only suggestion I have is for dimmer switches to be added to the living room lights or instead add side lamps.

Treetops cabin is so peaceful
Treetops cabin is so peaceful!!! As advertised the cabin is spotless and the beds were comfortable. We enjoyed the swimming hole located just inside the main gate of the community we used the chairs provided by the Owner of the cabin and enjoyed the beautiful Broad River. I would highly recommend this cabin.
