Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Wouldn't give the unit more than 3 stars at best. The only things that were nice about the unit was the view from the balcony and the location. Some of the most notable flaws were the following: 1) bathroom door doesn't open all the way as it hits the toilet seat, 2) only one out of the two stove top burners actually turned on, but heating a pan still took forever using the one that powered on, 3) the shower always had a constant drip from the faucet, 4) the shower floor would creak/pop while walking on it, 5) the floor molding that was used around the base of the tub was both tacky and constantly wet, 6) the AC unit would pool water on the balcony. If you NEED a place to stay in Waikiki and this is the only place available, it will do. However, if you are looking for a high quality apartment, you may be better off paying a little more for something nicer.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful stay at the Island Colony #3007 condo. The views of the ocean and of the Ala Wai canal were lovely. The condo is close to many restaurants and shops, and of course, only a few blocks from the beach. Checking in was easy, even at 11pm, and the rental staff is so responsive, just a quick text and whatever you need is taken care of. The condo pool area is spacious and has plenty of lounge chairs, and the sauna is HOT! Thanks for a wonderful, clean space for us to enjoy Oahu. Mahalo!!

Reviewer Comments: We enjoyed our stay and have stayed at Island Colony multiple times. This condo is nice and suited our needs, but it was worn and was not as clean as we would expect. When we arrived they also had no record of our reservation and there was no response from the emergency contacts that were provided. This was not a good start to our trip.

The check-in system was very organized and went quickly and smoothly. Unit was "as advertised" with just a little bathroom wear and tear. Kitchen condition was good, but in need of just a few basic utensils (spatula). Called property management regarding some broken stovetop dials and a very slow water leak from the fridge. A little delay in getting the repairs done (extra day), but the person who came to the unit was great. Some of the furniture showing signs of age, but I would definitely stay again. This was a working vacation and the wifi was excellent. (Marketing tip - make a computer monitor available in the unit - although the tv worked great as a 2nd monitor.) The view of Diamond Head was wonderful. I am very glad that I picked this unit. I miss it already!

We did not find we were missing anything we needed in our room and everything was in good working order. We liked having the inside table space to use when the sun got too hot on the lanai. The little dishwasher was such a bonus to run dishes through nightly. We really enjoyed the BBQ's and pool area. There is a lovely little store in the building that didn't feel ridiculously expensive. The building felt safe, well organized and everyone was helpful. No issues that we had to deal with the management company on, but everything was smooth through booking and check in. We have already recommended this place to family!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, we were satisfied with the condo, the layout and its location. Some general comments regarding our stay:When we arrived we had a small housekeeping issue but this was addressed right away. We found the water pressure in the kitchen very low so at times I would wash out items in the bathroom sink which had better water pressure. The patio door was not smooth which made it difficult to open and close.There was no hand soap in the bathroom. A minor thing I know but something that is missed when you don't have it.

Reviewer Comments: The property was exactly as described.The studio suite was clean and well maintained for the most part.The only problem we had was the bed.The springs on one side were broken causing it to be uncomfortable. Before we left we notified the company about it so hopefully it will be is one of the better companies that we have delt with. We would recommend them to our friends. It is in a central location. Close to the beach,restaurants,and shopping. We liked how much security they had in place.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Working with Alii Beach Rental has always been a positive experience. The maintenance needs were addressed immediately, the guys were personable and and we thank you! The view was fantastic and the bed were very comfortable. The elevators were quick and smooth riding, we liked the convenience store, the restaurant and the pool area (although it was closed for one week due to renovation). There are definite needs within the condo property itself. (1) There needs to be a full paint job for the property as some areas are beige and some areas are painted white. (2) The overhead microwave should be fixed or taken out. The second microwave takes up much needed counter space. (3) The bathroom door does not shut as it is off it's hinges and the bottom of the door is badly chipped. (4) The lanai door does not shut properly. (5) The wainscoting appears to be from the original room, it needs to be replaced. Overall maintenance of this property would be a welcomed upgrade at a minimal expense.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Beautifully decorated super clean unit with so many thoughtful and high quality details and a beautiful view. Island Colony is a great location and the building has laundry, a convenience store, book lending library, water bottle refill station, bbq grills, and more. We loved this unit far more than the resort where we stayed at first. I highly recommend Ali'i Beach Rentals.
