About this house rental
Ideal location in the Village of Skaneateles. This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath home was newly remodeled inside and out in 2020. It is conveniently located on a quiet residential street and is just over 3 blocks to the lake and all the village amenities. The backyard opens into FC Austin Park with tennis courts, basketball courts, a baseball field, volleyball nets, a walking track, a giant playground, and tons of green space. The YMCA with a fitness center, gymnasium, aquatic center complete waterslide and splash playground, and two all-season NHL hockey rinks is right next door. You can swim at the public beach in one of the cleanest lakes in the world. It is a short and quiet walk to the village center full of unique shops, numerous 4+ star restaurants, and concerts by the lake on Friday nights in the summer.
Skaneateles also hosts the Curbstone Festival the 3rd weekend in July, the Skaneateles Antique and Classic Boat Show the last weekend in July, the Skaneateles Festival in August, and Skanraces Labor Day weekend. The famous Dickens Christmas runs the day after Thanksgiving through the end of December where the village comes alive with Dickens characters that interact with visitors in the heart of downtown or when just stopping by the grocery store for a few items. It is truly the best time to bring your family if you do not make it during the summer!
In addition, a short drive will take you to multiple New York State wineries, hiking areas, scenic lake views, and it is just 30 minutes to Syracuse (Home to the Great New York State Fair August 20-September 6) and slightly over an hour to Rochester.
With so many things to do all year long, one visit will not be enough!
One month minimum rental required.

Although April was rainy I was able to enjoy my month stay at this cute place! Very convenient to park, rec center, and easy walk to town, shops, and restaurants. Just what I needed to end the winter blues and enjoy the start of spring!

We rented the home for a family get together and were very happy. Primarily we had two families with young kids (18 months to 5). The house was comfortable, and perfectly located next to the park.. scooter heaven for 3 and 5 year olds!
A nice walk into town… kids could scooter down, Grandma had a wagon in case the kids got tired coming home!
Wonderful backyard, side porch, and equipped with fire pit and has grill.
Linens, throw blankets, towels (maybe a few more-washcloths), beach towels all great… kitchen well equipped, although if you have little ones you might want to bring a few items for them.
Easy dining room for adult dinners, and we brought in a little kid picnic table so we could all eat in one room. Comfy living room chairs, and room for the kids to run around.
You will feel at home here! I hope my kids are to come back next year!!!
